Demonic Awakening

- Two years later -

A young extremely handsome boy with a red and black yin-yang symbol for an iris with pale skin and black messy but handsome hair with some red strands dressed in a black kimono could be seen walking through a lush green forest with a bright smile on his face.

*Deeeeep inhalation!*

*Deep sigh*

Jeez that was long!

'We're finally here Tenebris. Although it's two miles away, it feels like it's just infront of me.' Jiro said in his mind, looking at a holographic Tenebris sitting on a holographic moving chair trying to fit a whole banana into her mouth.

"Mhm, we've travelled for so long. I hope it's worth it." Tenebris' sweet voice sounded in Jiro's mind even though there was a whole banana in her mouth.

Immediately after this short conversation, Both Jiro and Tenebris sensed something which made their hearts thump with rage. Jiro was more affected by the discovery and couldn't control himself.

His pale skin became a shade darker, and two flat, curvy, beautifully terrifying horns protruded from his forehead. It was like he had become an entirely different person.

Without even realizing, he sped off toward the area he was sensing this thing which was making him furious, ignoring all of Tenebris' attempts to calm him down.

A boy and a girl could be seen standing infront of another boy with bull horns protruding from his head, shaking in absolute fear. The boy had well combed blonde hair and regal appearance and the girl had long, lustrous black hair held up in a high ponytail. She also had a noble appearance, but right now, looked like a slave infront of her enslaver.

"Haha! Puny humans! You made us suffer so much just because of others' deeds. I wanted to make your death a slow and painful one, but since we're so close to the Academy, I can't. So, unfortunately it'll be a quick one. Brace yourselves!" The demon said, as it prepared to sever the heads of the two humans infront of it with a giant axe.

Suddenly, an unexpected situation occured. Just as the humans thought things couldn't get any worse, another demon appeared in sight! But soon enough, a dark cloak appeared around him. It seemed to rise and fall in the lower ends, giving it an eerie vibe.

It had a hoodie which left only his mouth and chin visible. Right when the cloak appeared around him, his demonic aura vanished, and it seemed like he wasn't even there in the first place! One could only sense him using sight and hearing! With his totally black scythe in hand, he looked like the actual embodiment of the reaper!

Of course, this was all Tenebris' doing. Giro didn't give a sh** about the humans, so he forgot to put on his cloak, which he carefully designed with Tenebris using fourth dimensional energy and the darkness element. see

The darkness elekra was compressed into a thin layer inside a compressed layer of fourth dimensional energy, making it impossible for anyone who didn't have access to the fourth dimension to sense the wearer. The darkness element attacked and corroded anything but Jiro, which came into contact with it, and even chakra wasn't spared.

Therefore, if one wanted to sense Jiro, not only will he not be able to sense him, but if Jiro wanted so, he could also corrode his chakra, causing massive pain. It was also very hard, and was the best form of last line defence he had come up with. It could defend attacks with strength up to four stages above himself!

With all these descriptions, it was only right for him to name it, 'Reaper's Cloak'

From the humans' point of view, another demon had come to witness their demise.

Things couldn't get any worse right?

Right?!

Right after that, another person appeared!

Since he wasn't attacking anyone yet, and stood so close to the black cloaked demon, the humans made deductions that he was also a demon.

This one was cloaked in a deep blue cloak which had a hoodie leaving only his mouth and chin visible and also couldn't be sensed using any other means but sight and hearing.

This demon, of course, was Zoro, and he had made this cloak using the ice and space element. The ice element was a combination of the water and wind elements, and him being able to conjure ice was a marvelous feat only a few other geniuses could accomplish.

He made this cloak however, by fusing elemental essence, which was deemed to be impossible!

The fusion came to mind when he fought the Earthen Doe, but he hadn't the time to try it out. Ironically enough, the thought to fuse the elemental essence came to mind when his mind was in complete disarray. He was seeing stars after he fell, and those stars were merging regularly. That's how he got the idea.

The reason only Zoro is able to fuse his elemental essence is because of his [Eyes of Detection]. Fusing elemental essence couldn't be done just by smashing together elemental essence, but by detecting and connecting specific weak links on the specks of light.

These weak links were extremely hard to find, and even when found and connected, extremely impractical as one would have to fuse thousands of such weak links. [Eyes of Detection] was able to detect all of those weak links in a split second, allowing Zoro to connect them instantaneously, increasing their power ... exponentially!

Hey! That rhymed!

The fused elemental essence in Zoro's made it extremely hard, and the dense presence of the space element blocked perception (the use of chakra to percieve surroundings), making itdifficult to sense. Only a few people about three to four plus ranks above him could sense him if he wore this cloak.

The reason he didn't compress the elemental essence to make this cloak was that it was impossible. No other elementalist, but Jiro of course, could successfully compress elemental essence. This was because of three major reasons.

First of all, elemental essence would easily crack under compression, so no one even tried it.

Secondly, the pain from compression was too much, and with one small mistake, it would crack, causing pain. Even if it was successfully compressed enough, it would still cause pain.

Thirdly, one elemental essence point, as shown on one's status, was equal to thousand elemental essence specks. Trying to compress all these specks required too much focus, so it was impractical in actual combat. A simple technique could even take three or four points. Meaning, three or four thousand specks to compress. Good luck.

Fourthly, fourth dimensional energy was able to easily compress lots of elemental essence specks. This was because of the supreme sense enhancement of the energy which allowed one to know the exact way to cover and compress the elemental essence without cracking it, and also, because of the nature of the energy,

Fine! I said three! I know already!

A few seconds after they appeared, contrary to the humans' expectations, they attacked the first demon!

The reason no one else was able to sense this demon was because he had a special concealing ability which made only other demons able to sense him. From the power of his attacks, one could tell that he was in the first stage of the D-rank, which was supposed to be enough to stop the two demons. But contrary to expectations, the black one was doing quite well against the first demon.

A few seconds after Jiro saw the demon, his body screamed to him to attack and not hold back, and so he did.

Jiro began by activating [Super strength] which increased his strength by two stages. His status displayed this:

Jiro didn't even bat an eye to this and swung his scythe toward the demon.

Zoro moved the humans to a safer location about 100 metres away and sped off to Jiro's location. Immediately after he got there, he sent an ice spike towards thwe demon, who instantly dodged, only to be almost killed by Jiro's scythe, which he managed to evade by a hair's breadth.

[Super strength] ability increased Jiro's stage by two, and so did [Demonic Awakening], hence he was, for now, in the ninth stage instead of the fifth.

The battle raged on...
