Unseverable Bond

The night was peaceful, the chirpings of crickets could be heard throughout the entire village, the sound of flowing water reverberated across a wide area, and everyone was sound asleep, until...

*Booooom!*

A loud explosion resounded, and everyone couldn't help but shake themselves out of their slumber.

Two elementalists who seemed to be part of the cause of the explosion, faced the perpetrators head on. Their two helpless kids, who were barely four years of age, couldn't help but get under the bed in their room for safety, as per their father's command.

The fight between their parents and the enemies which seemed to have really dark skin with two horns on their heads for obvious reasons lasted about thirty minutes. One of them had longer horns and a third one in the middle of his forehead and regal clothes and his identity was obvious. The enemy was strong, and so were their parents. But something happened that made their hearts thump almost too fast for their little chests to handle.

Their two parents suddenly appeared before them out of nowhere, and the enemies were oblivious to this fact. Their bodies perforated, bloodied, and seemingly withering away slowly, they lay in front of them, which made them unable to stop the tears flowing down their cheeks as they knew what this signified.

"My sons, my time is nigh. Take this diary of mine, and make sure to follow all the rules stated within it in your quest as elementalists." Their father said with ragged breathing as he handed them an old dusty book which seemingly appeared out of nowhere.

"My dearests, you know that I love you so much," Their mother said while tears flowed down her cheeks. "We will fight off the enemy for you sake. Make sure to become great elementalists, so that you can avenge us. Know that we love you very much. Be good people and be useful to society. Never disclose your true identity, and travel very far away from here. Your father will make sure to give you a headstart. I will now show you why they are after us. Make sure to keep this to yourselves as a deep secret. If discovered, those fools will kill you." For some reason, when their mother said those fools, they didn't think she meant those she was fighting.

After this, their mother proceeded to touch their foreheads with both of her middle and index fingers. Immediately, a series of memories flowed into their head, as they now understood why the enemies were after their parents. The information was just too valuable!

"Alright sons. Be good willed and endure every problematic situation that comes your way, as life is going to be hard on you from now on. Take these. They were forged with my chakra. They took lots of years to make, so take very good care of them." Their father said as he handed two short silver artifacts with beautiful golden inscriptions on them. There was also a ruby on each. One looked like the handle of a katana, whilst the other looked like some part of the handle of something like a spear.

"Goodbye sons, we love you." Their mother said, and their father teleported them far away from them, never to be seen again.
