Chapter 2

A soul, drifting in a dark place. Since it was dark, he couldn't tell where he was.

"This is a new place. I died again, but unlike before, I am not sad or disappointed that I died. I spent 500 years roaming the whole world of a cultivation universe, spent 200 years with wives and also built a city.

I guess I could meet some God of death or someone, like in those fictions." the soul thought, as it obviously can't talk.

That's when it hears something speak in its head "I wouldn't recommend meeting a God now." in a male voice.

Before he could process what the voice said, he felt a sudden pain in his head. The voice again said "Sorry about that, I was just integrating with your soul."

Only after the pain died down, did the soul process all the things the voice said. He then asked in an angry and cautious tone "Who are you and what are you doing with my soul?"

"I obviously was expecting this question. So, let me introduce myself, I am the treasure system." the voice said.

"Huh, a system. What am I supposed to do with a system after dying?" the soul asked.

The system replied "You might think that you are done for this life and can now rest peacefully, but you are wrong.

You remember the thing you fought before dying. Did you ever wonder what it was and why it was attacking that world?"

This made the soul think of all possible reasons like 'he offended someone' or 'that thing just wanted to destroy things' or 'grudge against something or someone'. As the soul was thinking, the system said "I don't have much time to let toy guess till toy get there, so let me explain all the things you need to know.

It all started when you were accidentally sent to another world without your memories being wiped out, due to a certain lazy angel. You again went and merged with the only important soul of that world, the protagonist.

This usually doesn't happen and is not stable. To save the protagonist, the will of the world gave some of its divine energy to help the soul.

You lucky bastard, again went and absorbed the divine energy, dominating the protagonist's soul that was being reborn again.

When this was happening, the gods found out about you. Usually souls are regularly sent with memories to other worlds, but seal a slave mark to their soul.

This is done to prevent the dogs from barking at their owners, after an incident where a group of reincarnated people wiped out half of the God population.

They went on a hunt to find you and eradicate immediately. But, not only did you not get wiped out, you also managed to injure a god."

The soul caught the hint from the word 'Injure' as the system continued "When the God found you, he noticed the divine energy you had. That's when he felt that the world has betrayed the gods and turned against them.

That's why the God was hellbent on destroying the planet. With his wounded body and pride, he moved to the void and is healing himself. After done healing, he will go to your previous world and destroy that world, with your loved ones on it.

You only have 50 years till he attacks there. By that time, you have to figure out a way to reach that world yourself. It won't be that big of a deal with me around though."

The system wanted to tell something else when he suddenly shouted "Oh shit!! The God sure is intelligent. He has started to search for you. We don't have much time before he catches us if we stay here.

I will leave part of my will with you. After a certain level, you will be able to talk wothe again for a while. Now I am going to use all my divine energy to send you to your new world. You must survive and grow stronger, no matter which world you go to."

After the system stopped talking, the soul felt pain, unlike ever before. He had his fair. share of pain and torture, but this was on a whole another level.

And after a few moments, he lost consciousness. He couldn't figure out time in the place and I'm that pain, so even he didn't know how long he could bear the pain.

After some time, the soul gained consciousness again and found himself in a dark place. But unlike the previous dark space, he could feel something and more importantly, he could feel being in a body.

"So, I am born again, but where is this place?" the soul wondered.

It tried to move his hands, intending to figure out where he was. Even though he couldn't move his hands, he figured out where he was.

"Now this is a new experience. Until now, I have only reincarnated once and that too, with a body of a 10 year old. I don't remember how I was born and don't want to know too." it said in its head.

"Now, I guess I have time. I don't know what I can do here and honestly, I don't want to do anything here even if I could.

Its been 50 years since I last slept. Me and my wives from the previous world were strong enough that, we could survive without food, water and sleep for 100 years.

After I proposed to sleep together, I couldn't say no to their requests. That's when I understood that all my wives were super thirsty. I just want to sleep peacefully until I am born" the soul thought and when he closed his eyes, he immediately slept.
