Chapter 3

The soul gained consciousness when it felt like something was pushing it. It thought "I guess it's time to see a new world"

A blinding light made it to close its eyes. When he went out, he opening his eyes, but his vision was blurry due to the blood.

So, he closed his eyes again and that's when he felt a slight pain in his ass. This was his first time getting spanked. He wanted to shout "Who dares to hit me?" but all that came out of his baby mout was "Waahh" a baby cry.

He heard someone saying "Don't worry Mrs. Todoroki, the baby is healthy and fine." and hands him. to someone else. After which he heard someone walk away, probably the doctor he deduced.

"Oh right, a baby is supposed to cry after their birth. So, I will allow it this once and spare that doctor." he said in his head.

Staying in the cultivation world for 500 years has magr him a little bit prideful.

Then a nurse cleaned him and wrapped a towel around him. After which, he was taken to a room. When the nurse entered the room with him in her hands, there were two people in the room who looked at her.

The same lady who was on the bed when he was born, his mother and a man beside her who asked her how she was, his father.

When the nurse got closer to the couple, his father quickly approached the nurse and took him from. her hands.

He looked at his father and said in his head "I feel like I have seen him somewhere."

As if she read his thoughts, his mother said "Enji, can I see him too."

"Enji... Enji..... Enji..... wait! Isn't that the name of Endeavor." he said in his head while his father handed him to his mother. He looked at his mother, who was beautiful with white hair.

Looking at his mother, he thought in his head "How can anyone be rude to such a beautiful lady? I already hate my father. But, let's not jump to conclusions. It could be that Endeavor is better than canon.

The only thing I learnt from the previous world was to never trust your information you have about the future. Only by peeing on the road, you could even start a war. That's how horrible that butterfly effect is."

"So Rei, have you thought of a name?" Enji asked.

She replied with a smile "Yes, even before he was born. I want to name him 'Kenji' which means someone who is strong and vigorous."

"I like that name too. So, his name shall be Kenji Todoroki." Enji said while picking him up and raising him up.

Kenji said in his head "This guy is overacting a bit. You didn't have to lift me like this. Did you just finish seeing Lion king before coming here?"

(Sorry for using him, he and it till now. It might be a little bit confusing, but without a name, I didn't have a choice.)

After this, his father put Kenji in a crib beside Rei's bed. Kenji said in his head "Now to check what this system is all about. If I had a system in previous world, I wouldn't have struggled for 100 years." and shouted system in his head.

Then a screen appeared in front of him. It didn't have any fancy design and had options which read

"Wait! that's it? Only four options, or more like three options. Ok wait, let's not judge a book by its cover. " and said in his head intro.

A window popped up upon the previous one which read

[ The treasure system is a great system where the user can find even an god-level item only after starting.

The user should search for treasure chests scattered all over the world. It can be buried in the ground, fly in the sky or even open on the road.

The treasure chests will only be visible for you, but while opening the chest, the items that appear will glow. If this is seen by anyone else, you can't claim the rewards and they will disappear.

So, open the chests only when alone. Another thing to note is that the treasure chests can't be moved. So, the user must open the chests without anyone seeing him do so.

The treasure chests come in different rarities, with the rarest one having more chanced to drop a rare item.

The items dropped can be anything from weapons, armours to stat points, skills and abilities.

More options of the system can be explained when clicked on that particular thing.]

After reading this, he said in his head with a deadpan voice "Ok, I take back what I just said. I would have suffered a lot if I had this system in my previous cultivation world.

This system is useless. It is just asking me to act like a thief and sneak into places. If I did this in that cultivation world, I would be caught in seconds and killed immediately.

And now it wants me to act like a thief in a world where heroes are roaming the streets everywhere. Let me look at my stats then"

Kenji noticed the '?' beside everything but decided to think about it later and went to the exchange shop next.
