The world that’s seems like the 1700s

"Good morning, Sir. It's great to see you well," Alfred, the butler dressed in a black and white suit, said. He had black hair and brown eyes.

"Yes, I'm fine," Zak replied, offering a reassuring smile. Alfred proceeded to enter the room carrying a tray. On the tray was a glass of water and a piece of cake, complete with a fork and knife.

"I'm not sure if this will cheer you up, but I've sourced the best vanilla cake in the kingdom," Alfred declared, setting the tray on the bed and offering Zak the glass of water.

"Thank you, Alfred," Zak acknowledged, with evident appreciation. Slowly, he eased himself upright on his bed, accepted the glass of water from Alfred and proceeded to cut and eat the cake with the provided fork and knife.

Once Zak had finished his meal, he promptly requested Alfred, "Could you bring me some books from the library that discuss about the world?" Alfred acknowledged Zak's interesting request with a smile. He took the tray along with the empty glass, exited the room, and gently closed the door behind him.

As Alfred left, Zak couldn't help but comment on the intriguing nature of his current situation. He got up and approached the two large windows that dominated the room. Pushing them open, he stepped onto the balcony.

As he absorbed the view from above, Zak found himself submerging into a thought. The sight reminded him of a motion picture set in the 1700s. The people he could spot were all attired in either full suits or long white shirts coupled with warm woolen coats, hats, and shoes.

"Quite fascinating," Zak mused, unable to contain his awe.

Looking below, Zak's gaze fell upon the myriad timber businesses, along with various carriage-and-horse displays and antiquated automobiles. Lifting his eyes skywards revealed the towering edifice of an immense clocktower, the timepiece's hands seemingly moving towards him.

An archaic device, a candlestick telephone, lay there unattended. The realization crashed down like a wave, his gaming days had met an untimely end. The environment around him was remarkably intriguing, he thought to himself and watched as throngs of people crisscrossed the city streets from his vantage point on the balcony.

The sound of soft knocks caused him to spin around. The door was gradually pushed ajar. Panic sets in. "Oh no, Alice" were his thoughts, as his mother sauntered in, immediately announcing that the balcony is now out of bounds until Zak proved once again that he could be trusted alone there.

However, with a mere whisper of a smile, all the panic was swept away. After all, Zak thought, it was time to bear the weight of responsibility. As he heard her speak, the warmth of cherished memories resonated within him, reminding him of the comforts of a mother's love.

"Alice queried Zak, 'Did you eat the apple?' Receiving a positive response, she expressed relief, 'Good.' Sitting on the bed, she called him over while giving out a stern warning, 'Never attempt such a thing again. I was genuinely afraid I would lose you.'

Disclosing confidence in his promise to not repeat this mistake, Zak calmed her anxiety, 'Don't worry, I will ensure never attempting such actions again.' Satisfied, Alice instructed her son, 'Prepare to see your father and sister soon. They are arriving in an hour. Please take a shower and change. Dinner will be ready for you.'

Zak acknowledged this, 'Thank you, mother.' Alice proceeded to exit the room, leaving him alone.

Soon, Zak was interrupted by a knock on the door. It was Alfred presenting him with four books. 'Here are the requested books', Alfred asserted. Zak expressed his gratitude, 'Thank Alfred', before Alfred excused himself from the room.",

Zak examined each of the books, clearly impressed with their unique titles. "How fascinating," he commented, neatly arranging the books on top of his dresser. "I'll definitely take the time to delve into these once I have the opportunity. I need to enlighten myself about this enigmatic world," he resolved, as he exited the room.
