Chapter 16

For three nights straight, Bella did surveillance on the buildings and there was no activity.  Furthermore,  her licensing officer contact informed her that the number plates were fake. She was so disappointed in herself at losing Sierra, Samantha and possibly Lizzy, that she refused to take on any other cases until all was solved.

She sat on her bed going over some of her notes when her phone rang. Concentrating on her reading, she answered it without looking at the number,

Hello, Bella here! She answered as she flipped over a page in her notepad.

Hey Bella, it's Kyle. I got your number from the Chinese restaurant we met recently. I had to pay a hefty price and tell them you forgot something in my car in order to get it. I hope you don't mind me calling. Kyle said softly

No it's not a problem Kyle. How can I help you? Bella asked forgetting about what she was doing and sitting up to hear what Kyle had to say.

Actually Bella, I had a great time with you what day even though the date ended in a way that really isn't my style. Anyways I was wondering if you wanted to meet again? Kyle asked casually.

There was a short silence and then Bella spoke,

Okay! When? Bella finally answered

The Regency Hotel, Room 46! Say around six since tonight. I'll prepare dinner for us. Kyle replied.

Sure, I'll see you then. Bella said and hung up.

She sat on her bed looking outside on the balcony and memories of their heated session flooded her mind.

Why was she so attracted to Kyle that her body could not refuse him? She said out loud and walked to her closet to look for a nice dress. Never in her life had she been so excited to meet any of her suitors before and it made her really concerned.

Kyle on the other hand was a complete mess over the past few days since being with Bella. Even Karl was down his throat, insisting that he tell him what Bella and he had discussed after having argued that he confided in him, while being drunk, that he met Bella. To make matters worst, he just couldn't stop think about Bella. It was like he was under a spell and couldn't forget about her.

He decided he was going to play along in the game to see if she would confess to being with his father. And if not , well then he'd confess to his father how unfaithful his mistress truly was to him.

Where are you off too looking so handsome and smelling so good Kyle? Charlie asked as she eyed him from the kitchen when he entered the living room.

I have a date tonight! You know I may as well continue searching for my mate seeing that we're still awaiting something to come up with the both cases. Kyle said and smiled nervously praying she didn't ask with who.

Well good for you brother! But remember that we're awaiting an important text and as soon as it comes in, I'm going to call you okay! Karl said as he walked into the room and overheard Kyle and Charlie speaking.

You two behave yourselves. I'll see you guys later! Kyle said and walked out the door quickly.

As soon as Kyle had driven off, Charlie looked at Karl and Karl looked at Charlie.

Want to watch a movie with me? Charlie asked

Sure once it's not any chick flick! Karl said and laughed.

Well you chose the movie and I'll make the popcorn. Charlie answered and spun around and began to get it ready.

You think he'll be successful tonight? Kyle I mean! Charlie asked as she stood in front of the microwave.

I don't know but I sure hope he gets some action tonight because he's been a total ass lately which I'm sure you've noticed for yourself. Karl said as he scanned through the movies.

He does seem preoccupied and irritated lately but I thought it was stress from Lizzy or the case! Charlie said as she walked to the chair with the popcorn and sat next to Karl.

Immediately Karl's chest tightened as soon as he smelled her fragrance. It was there and then that he decided not to hold back and grabbed Charlie's face and kissed her long and hard.

Charlie did not hesitate but kissed him back with everything she had kept hidden inside her heart for him. They both raced to undo each other clothes as Karl's mouth plastered kisses over her body. When he began to suck down on her pink nipples, Charlie threw back her head and relished the feeling. Karl gently pulled her on top of him and looked into her eyes.

Charlie you know if we do this, there's no turning back! Karl said softly against her ear.

I want you Karl. I've wanted you for a long time now. We are meant to be together, I'm sure of it! Charlie said and their both lips pressed closely together in a warm and wet kiss. Karl gently lifted Charlie, with her long legs wrapped around his body, and slowly walked to his room and locked the door.

Inside the room, Charlie and Karl allowed their wild, animalistic behavior to consume them as they both shapeshifted into lycanthropes. Bodies pressed deeply against each other, their mouths teased each other. Karl released a purring sound from deep within after entering Charlie.

He felt Charlie's body immediately tense and he looked into her eyes for permission to continue. Charlie knew that the beast she loved would never proceed, so lovingly she shook her head in confirmation and then sent her tongue inside his mouth and explored it. She heard Karl groan out and she plastered his neck and ears with wet kisses. Karl on the verge of exploding, bit down on Charlie's shoulders and marked her, causing her to scream out and trash her body wildly as they both climaxed.

Seeing her reaction from his wolf bite and knowing that their mating process was finally sealed and that Charlie was his forever caused Karl to feel like he had won the lottery. Their eyes met at the same time and tears flowed from Charlie's eyes. Karl then gently kissed her marking on her shoulder and hugged her tightly as he too began to sob. They instantly became silent as their minds both came to terms with them having a bond that would last them their lifetime. After a few minutes, a huge smile then came over Karl's face when he realized that it would also mean that other male werewolves would know that Charlie was taken and they could now read each other's emotions.

Will you marry me Charlie? I mean seeing that we're mated we should have the ceremony welcoming you to my family but I don't want to do it until Lizzy is back so will you? Karl mindlinked Charlie as he looked deep into her eyes.

Yes my love, I will marry you! Charlie answered and Karl gave out a loud howl before giving her a passionate kiss and starting off a second heated mating session.
