The confrontation (3)

After separating from the main group I headed toward the 2nd teleportation blocking formation with 2 X ranked beast. Masking our presence as much as we could we headed toward the teleportation formation at full speed but even then I could feel a powerful presence heading toward us from behind but ignoring him we headed straight toward the teleportation array.

"Just focus on reaching and destroying the teleportation formation, we will have plenty of time to fight afterwards." I said sensing the eagerness of beasts to fight the leader tailing us.

Out of the two beasts who were accompanying me one of name was rhino. He was a 20 meter tall muscular humanoid beast. His skin was so though that I doubt even demion's sword could pierce his skin and he had a 3 meter long sharp horn protruding from his head because of this feature he resembled a humanoid rhino but his ability lies somewhere else.

The other beast, he was a spider type beast initially but after evolving into an X ranked beast he was able to change his appearance into a humanoid beast. He had 8 eyes and 2 sharp fangs leaking out of his mouth giving him the appearance of vampire or demon. He had 4 extra legs on his back which gave him incredible mobility while the threads he produced were harder than diamond and sharper than any sword I have seen.

They were reliable companions but I was not a fool to underestimate the power of a dragon leader.

I didn't had much time to think about my options as from behind us hundreds of weapons were thrown at us aimed at our vital spot with such precision that we had to halt our moments and defend ourselves but the spider like beast whose name was peter made a silver net with his threads and repelled most of the weapons while rhino hardened his skin and the weapons that touched him left a minor scratches on his skin.

I also prepared around 100 clones of all of us and switched places with them as needed avoiding all weapons. All the weapons were covered with dense lava like red aura which could melt once skin with just the touch and hinder their regeneration.

8th leader Orion wakes also known as (master of all weapons). His ability was mainly body manipulation with which he could alter any part of his body into any weapon whether it is for attack or for defending, he could also fire those weapons however he wants and his body would regenerate those missing limbs but he had one weakness that he could not continue this type of attacks for long time.

I thought he would go after Andrew because he was emitting more powerful aura than me and it would not be that difficult to deal with 9th leader but curse my luck, I have to change to face the 8th leader of all peoples.

I could sense the location of Teleportation formation about 5 kilometer away from me, so I made a decision which Andrew had said to make only as last resort and that was to split our forces more than we already have.

It was made clear to us that if we want to reduce the casualties we have to operate in group so that if any uncertain variable present itself, we will have more chance to deal with it but it was also necessary to destroy the teleportation formation as soon as possible because I was sure Andrew would not take more than 5 minutes to complete his task and then the success of whole mission would be left on whether I can complete my task or not.

"Rhino and peter, engage with 8th leader in fight and kill him if you can but if he overwhelms you, do whatever you can to stop him and buy me 4 to 5 minutes, I will destroy the teleportation formation in that much time." I said to them.

"You just go and do what needs to be done, we will hold out until you complete your task, have a little trust in us." Rhino said and nodding my head I left them behind turning into my true dragon form and flying toward my destination it would take me 20 second at most to reach the formation, if I didn't encounter any disturbance on my way.

When I was 1 kilometer away from the teleportation blocking formation I saw a golden dome in the distance with complex runes shining inside it and golden lines leaving from its edge expanding and covering the whole facility inside the rift but between me and the teleportation blocking formation were 15 Dragon monarch realm red dragons at different early, mid and peak stage.

All of them were fire dragons but where did king found this many dragon monarch to defend the single formation, if he has employed this many dragons here what about inside the facility.

I wasn't much worried about dealing with these dragons and turned back into my humanoid form while 15, 90 meter tall red dragons stared at me like looking at an ant.

"I will deal with him." A red dragon stepped forward from the group preparing his [dragon breath] in his mouth to fire at me while I prepared to dodge it and prepare my own attack.

He fired his [Dragon breath] at me which was much weaker than demion's but nevertheless the kilometer wide area behind me disappeared into nothingness. For the next 3 minutes we fought like that while 5 more dragons jointed him to deal with me while I also multiplied into many copies using my illusion ability and dodged their attacks and attacked them but not able to injure even one of them.

"Stop" Suddenly the dragon standing at the end stood up from his place and used his ability [Fire Age] which made the surrounding melt into lava but all the dragons stood in their places as if the heat didn't affect them, but same cannot be said about my clones because one by one they started to disappear into nothingness and all of them disappeared.

"As expected of leader mash, he killed one of the Retainers with just his breath." A dragon standing on the right spoke while all other dragon laughed but the expression on the face of mash contorted, deactivating his [Fire age] ability he looked at all other dragons.
