Chapter 6 Familiarize (1)

"I will give team 2 all the details I have, but remember do not rely solely on that because even I don't know what to expect once you guys enter the facility."

"I had even tried to send spies in that location in the past, but none of them returned alive to report back to me not even roman." When said the name roman the mouth of all retainers hung open finally able to understand the difficulty of mission.

In the past there used to be 7 retainers but one of them had died during his mission this much was known to all the retainers, but they were unaware of the specifics of the mission.

Roman was the 2nd strongest retainer in my force whose death was a big loss to my force as well as my family; yeah the retainers are all my family. Apparently because of him I got to know that the facility had the summoning circle inside it and it was no ordinary summoning circle but to summon the Dragon king.

Therefore even I couldn't make any careless move and roman was smart, he sacrificed himself before king could capture him, but from thereon the location of facility had been continuously changing and I had tabs on it from shadows. Thinking all this I informed everyone about what facility looked like in the past and information collected by roman which was mostly outdated.

"Once we enter the tower, the biggest threat the kings summoning circle will be useless but it won't be easy either to complete the mission because there is a chance that 1 or maybe 2 leaders will be present in that facility to protect it." I said what I could think of but there was no guarantee that my hypothesis was correct.

There may be more than 2 leaders or king would have appointed some other counter measure, he was a crafty bastard after all.

"We will not disappoint you my lord, we will finish this mission successfully even if we have to sacrifice our lives." This time Jacob spoke. He was ranked 6th in term of strength in whole group but he was the smartest of them all, he had sensed the anxiety present in my voice and was trying to convince me.

"I don't doubt that." I said.

"It is a rescue mission and I don't want to rescue one life by sacrificing other." Saying this I gave them each a scroll made by me, it was a mana scroll made by me, after tearing it they will be instantly teleported to a pre-decided location which was another one of my safe hideout.

Roman was a very resourceful person and I had given him the mission to secretly pinpoint the location where Emily (Daughter of my teacher) is located. His ability of size manipulation was too unique but I had underestimated the king's preparation and made the mistake.

The mistake which I had made last time by not making enough preparation had cost me the life of one of my retainer and I will not make the same mistake again.

"You will be infiltrating the facility with the help of one of the beast which you people are taking with you and from there on your first goal will be to occupy and destroy the place where teleportation blocking array is located."

"There are two teleportation blocking array in two opposite locations in the facility, which you have to occupy and destroy as soon as you have entered. The fight in the facility will be inevitable and therefore I am giving you guys one third of the beast forces support." I said and 4 beasts stepped forward whom I have already briefed before.

I wanted to brief retainers beforehand too because of the unrest I felt at conference room I postponed it.

"We don't need the help of this lizard's boss; we can clear the mission by ourselves." One of the crows like humanoid beast spoke, his full body was covered with black feathers and two gigantic black wings covered his 20 meter giant body, he spoke eyeing retainers mocking them like they were beneath him.

"We don't want to disrespect you lord, but could we teach this beast a lesson before… ahhhh" Andrew bit his own tongue hard before he could finish his sentence and closed his mouth and the cut regenerated itself in blink of an eye.

"Don't talk back to him or think of taking any action against him, just accept his personality as it is a side effect of his power." I consoled Andrew. There were many crimes in dragon realm which required immediate execution and one of them was referring dragon as lizards.

Other than that the crow like beast which has insulted retainers had the power to bring bad luck to his enemies. He continuously feed on the negative energy around him and uses his power on any person he presumes his enemy. Based on the strength of his enemy they will encounter the most unexpected misfortune.

When I explained each one of the four beasts' abilities to the retainers and vice versa, I could see their morale rising and a visible confidence on their faces.

"I will be taking Demion with me, as well as rest of the 6, X ranked beast and the remaining one Z ranked beast." When I mentioned a Z ranked beast all the retainers had confused expression on their faces.

Encountering the X ranked beast was the rare opportunity for most of the dragons in their lifetime and there were even fewer who have ever heard of the Z ranked beast mostly king and leaders knew of their existence.

It is a long story of how I became a beast tamer but if I have to say I had started it in order to relieve my boredom and loneliness, and as time passed, I didn't knew that I had created a formidable force.

I motioned my hand in an downward manner and a big portal whose size was 50 meter opened few meter ahead of us and a huge Humanoid beast stepped out from it, its appearance matched that of an demon from hell holding a long spear in its hand which was pulsing with lava vain and from his appearance alone the environment of the area we were standing started to change.

Its red eyes scanned through every beast and retainer and focused on me.
