Enemies crossing path

"What are you doing here? I thought I told you to wait for a sec?". Charlie asked with suspicion.

"Yes,you did but I became curious and opened the door impulsively. I'm sorry, I didn't know you were bathing. It would never happen again, I promise.

"I just wanted to see what you were up to. I didn't mean to barge in to you bathing ". Panic was evident in her voice as she looked all over.

Seeing her reaction, Charlie just laughed and walked over to his clothes and picked them up.

"What,you want to see me change too?". Charlie said amusingly.

"Ahhhhh!!! No,I'll be waiting outside ". She ran out and banged the door.

"Sigh...,so naive ". He took off the towel and changed into his pants,without a shirt and walked out. He saw her standing by the door with her lowered.

"I'm sorry again for barging again ". She said apologetically.

"It's alright. It's not like I was naked so let's forget about it". He said casually.

"So what do you want to talk to me about ".

"I wanted to go sightseeing and wanted you to come along with me. Or don't you? It's fine if you don't want to". She said with expectation.

"Sure thing. After all,I need to go shopping and get a few clothes. I look like a caveman".

"So let's go then ". She said happily while dragging him by the arm and running outside the Inn.

"Stop running, you could get hurt". Charlie tried to warn her but she ignored it and just giggled.

They went for a walk,bought a few things, went to the different scenic places in the city and had fun. It was already evening and they were heading back to the Inn. They chatted and laughed as they were returning.

"I had so much fun today Charlie. Thanks a lot ". Sophia said smiling as they got to front of the Inn.

"Yeah,it was fun. Let's try this....." just as he was complete his sentence, they heard an arrogant voice behind them.

"Hahaha.. look who we have here. If it isn't the great Charlie O'brien. I never would have thought you would be here. What a pleasant surprise". A teenage boy of around fifteen years of age was seated a top a horse and made his way over.

'Hmmm? Is that who I think it is '. He thought as he came down from the horse and walked over.

"Is this miss Sophia Anderson? It's a pleasure to meet you. I've heard so much about you. Let me introduce myself. My name is Dam...."

"Damien Dickson!!!" Charlie shouted in a low voice.

"Not now peasant. Miss Sophia is here and I need to speak with her". He said condescendingly and ignored him before turning around to face her.

"Miss Sophia, I'm pleased to meet your acquaintance. I am Damien Dickson from star fall city. I was just passing by and saw you here. How about I invite for dinner so we can talk". Dickson said,trying to impress Sophia.

'It's Sophia Anderson indeed. What is she doing here? Ahh who cares? I'll just try to impress her and get in her good books. Who knows,she might fall for me too. Hahaha...'. He thought as he stretched his hand to her for a hand shake. But Sophia didn't even look at him. Instead,she was looking at Charlie who had both his fist clenched tightly with his head lowered.

"Are you OK?" She walked to him and asked in concern.

"Is he bothering you? Let's just leave ". She said as she grabbed his hand but Charlie dodged it and raised his head.

"Damien Dickson!!! I'm gonna fucking kill you!!". Charlie roared with bloodshot eyes.

"Hmph! How dare an animal like you shout at me? It seems you wish to die". Dickson said with a sour expression. Sophia had ignored him and walked pass him to meet Charlie which left him in a bad mood.

"Good! Hahaha.. I'm an animal. You bastard called me animal!!"

"You and those other bastards killed my family and yet you call me an animal.Hahaha..."

"Your family committed a great offense by endangering the lives of the citizens of star fall city. It is only right that you all should be killed,including you. You escaped your punishment and have become a fugitive. You are to surrender now and accept your punishment ". He said with righteousness as he pointed at Charlie.

"We endangered the lives of the citizens. That's your big excuse? You bastards were only jealous and afraid of us".

"Lies!! You and your family have been sentenced to death. Surrender now and receive your punishment". By now,the commotion had already attracted the passers-by and they gathered to watch the commotion.

"Star fall city? I did hear a rumor that the O'brien family was murdered". One of them whispered to the person behind him.

"It's not a rumor. The Chu and Damien family steal attacked them in the middle if the night. It's a well known fact. Everyone says it was out if fear though".

"Yeah,I also heard if it. I once went to star fall city and managed to see the O'brien family head. He was very nice and everyone loved him. It's a shame that this bastards succeded and still swaggering about unpunished ". Another siad with anger.

"Who's gonna punish them? Nobody. They do things the way they like because they know no one's gonna punish them". They talked among themselves a the crowd got bigger.

Meanwhile, Sophia who was there had heard everything.

'No wonder he didn't mention his last name and said he didn't have a home. He's always lost in thought about them and Is probably alos thinking of how ti have his revenge. Also,that's why he also said it was too hard for him to say. I feel sorry for him. He's really been through a lot'. She thought as she felt saddened.

"DIE!!!" Charlie roared like a dragon,his body moving like an arrow as he ran towards them and threw a punch. A loud whoosh sounded as the punch connected and on one of the guards was hit in the chest. The guard flew back and fell a few metres away.Charlie,in his rage continued as he

threw another punch but was blocked by the guards. They grouped together as they fought him alone. But it was obvious that Charlie had the advantage. He broke the encirclement as he caught Dickson who was trying to run away.

"You and your bastard friend raped my sister to her death. I'm gonna make sure I torture you and kill in the most painful way possible!!". He raised him up and punched him in the stomach, making his body bend as he vomited blood from the force if the punch.

"Charlie!! Stop. You're gonna get arrested if you kill him". Sophia shouted as she ran towards him and grabbed his hand.

"No! I must kill him. He has to die!!" Charlie shouted as veins appeared on his neck,giving him a hideous look .

"Not now and not here. You've already suffered enough because if them. If you get arrested, you'll only suffer more. Don't forget,you need to get stronger and defeat everyone who has caused you pain". She suad as she hugged him.

Charlie looked at him and hesitated but feeling the warmth coming from Sophia, he let go and Dickson falling to the ground, with cold sweat running down his back.

'This crazy bastard almost killed me. That's too fucking close for comfort. I'll definitely get back at him. I'll let you feel good for now'. Dickson thought as he got up and dusted his body.

"I won't let this matter go. You assaulted me publicly and even embarrassed me. The city lord the city will seek justice for me". He threatened as he kept a little distance from him.

"I believe he is a man of justice and fairness. He would agree with me on this".

"Young master Damien, I believe that you have already embarrassed yourself enough. Besides,you're clearly at fault here. You insulted him and wrongly accused him. I suggest you should just leave and save yourself more embarrassment ". Sophia siad coldly as she stood beside Charlie.

"Miss Sophia, surely you jest. After such actions, you're telling me he is going to go without any punishment? Is that what you are saying?".

"Then,you would be punished as well. After all,you are at fault ".

"Good! Very good!! This embarrassment,I will not forget. Let's go". He said as he turned around and left with his guards. Seeing him go,the crowd started to disperse. Charlie watched him leave and stood there until he couldn't be seen anymore. He clenched his fist and thought how he had allowed him leave without any punishment.

"Come,let's go in". Sophia siad softly while dragging him in. She took him to her room and sat him on her bed.

"It's OK. It's not your fault. If you had attacked,then you'll miss the chance to attend the star regional sect recruitment and wouldn't be able to improve much. Besides,killing him won't be the end. So bear with for now until you become strong enough".

"I know. Thank you for everything that you've done for me. I can't thank you enough ". He siad emotionally as he got up.

"Where are you going? Don't do anything stupid ". She said worriedly.

"Relax, I'm just going to my room for some rest". He walked out and closed the door. He got his room and lied on his bed,falling asleep .
