The end of an adventure!

I then head the sound of splashing.

I tried to breathe but the more I did the more water I took in, so I tried to swim up but I end up hitting my head on something and it disoriented me. "M...h!" I tried to call out but I end up taking in more water.

I then see Hailey in the water, she hits her head and then tries to call out "M...h!" she cried out. I jumped into the fast flowing water and carefully pulled her out of the water. She wasn't breathing well so I raced back home while carrying her, bridal style to harvest some sap from the tree. "Hang on Hailey! We're nearly there!" I said to try and keep her awake.

Before I completely blacked out I see Hikari swimming over to me and pulling me out of the water. He did this so quickly, by the time I blinked I'm in his arms and he's tree running back to the tribe. "Hang on Hailey! We're nearly there!" Hikari assured me. I then blink again and I'm on Hikari's bed and he's about to pour some type of liquid down my throat. "N..!" I try to fight against it when I recognise the smell. Hikari then poured the sap down my throat. I couldn't breathe and it was worse then last time. I felt like I swallowed lava and it was burning my insides. "Do you feel better Hailey?" Hikari asked me. I was burning up and there was nothing I could do. "M...mmmh!" I tried to say while nodding. I then used every ounce of my energy into sitting up. There are no words I can use to describe the pain I felt that day. The only fitting description is, it was worse then death.

I was able to sit up and then I coughed involuntarily. I repetitively did this for what felt like forever and each cough was more painful then the last. "Hailey...?" Hikari asked while looking at me with a worried expression on his face. I then gave him my brightest smile before I coughed again.

Everything then went black.
