Chapter 8: My Quest

After hearing all those information from the general I made up my mind I need to make Akashia trust me more to let me help her. I ran back to the temple as fast as I can

"You're going to persuade her" i hear Camilla asked

"If I won't persuade her who else could besides you heard what General Luke said. If I am not mistaken Akashia should know something and so as that Priestess" I said

"The priestess?" she said questioningly

"Like I said we were childhood friend, I meet her around when i was like 5 years old and stayed in that village for 2 years. That's actually the longest time I've been, the following months me and my mom kept on moving from one place to another. That went for more than a year then I was given to grandpa together with you" I explained

"Just don't forget, I still want Leah for you so don't try to look for other girls" she said. I just didn't mind what she tild me and continue to run reachibg the temple in no time. There I saw the village Chieftain, Layden, praying.

"Ahem" I purposely made a sound to make my presence known

"And do you want?" he asked

"Umm, about Akashia"

"I already did what I could, she wont talk to you again"

"No, you don't understand. I had to. I need her to listen to me. Just once please I promise if it doesn't work out I'll leave, we'll leave" I pleaded

I heard him pull the deepest breath and let go of it.

"Just this once kid" he said and recited a mantra, after a while Akashia appeared

"What do you want?" she asked me

"Just once, just this once Akashia listen to what I have to say" I said showing my pleading eyes to her

I heared her sign and gestured to enter the temple. I first went inside followed by Akashia. She shifter from her goddess look to a more normal look.

"So?" she said as she procees to sit down

"A while ago I heard from the general about what happend ten years ago and I know the reason why you spirit deities hated priestesses, and that is because they kill spirit deities and shamans who refuse to join forces with the queen" I said and I think I hit a spot that I shouldn't have

"You dont have the right to tell me what happend before, you were only a child and you know nothing. Your mother might be a shaman but you're not so you don't havw the right to even speak to a deity or even own one!" she shouted and range making the whole forest ground tremble.

"I know, but have you ever wonder why did all of these happend. There are causes to every effects and I'm sure you know that. Have you ever wonder what priestesses really do, what their purposes are and how they came into view" I said and basing from her expression she seemed really confuse

"According to our history the former queen had a dream, a vision rather which no one knows what it is about beside her eldest child Prince Philip. Prince Philip was suppose to inherit the throne but he refuse so her younger sister got it instead soon after her coronation the prince was exiled"

""No one knows the reason but a lot of speculations aroused and because of this the crown was nearly given to the youngest child. No one knows this except the Prince and us spirit deities but he visited a shaman, after sometime the law regarding the killings of shaman and capturing of spirit deities began" She said looking at me waiting for a reaction to be given but I didn't gave her that.

"I know that cause that shaman is my mother" upon saying this world I saw her snap her hand s and within seconds we are back at her realm

"You said what?" she asked

"I barely remember it but 10 years ago when I was 8 a good looking man came into our house, he and my mom talk about something. Later when he went away I saw him wearing a necklace with a royal seal. After that man left my mom started fixing our stuff, saying that we must leave immediately" I narrated

"If I'm not mistaken he is Prince Philip."

"Then what does the seal looks like?" she asks

"There are two lions facing opposite sides at seemed to be fighting something and around it was olive leaves, on the upper sides a name was written but I couldn't remember what was written and on the lower part was an ancient letterings which I dont know how to read" as I describe it to her she closes her eyes nd started to visualize it. Seconds later she opened her eyes and using veins she formed a replica of it

"That's what I remember, yes that's what it looks like" I said inspectioning it.

While carefully looking at it I sense her stand up and went to a drawer near by and started rummaging through her things.

"I think I believe you" I then heared her say

I look back only to find out her holding a medalion that has the seal on it, it was made of pure gold and silver, the medalion has a mix color of grey and golden yellow

"Ten years ago we were given a medallion that has the royal seal of Prince Philip. It was distributed by a shaman though no shaman knows who she was and what does she lookes like. According to this shaman we need to keep these medallions and when the time comes it may come in handy. Every spirit deity and shaman that existed during that era was given one piece each. Including my former master." She pause and a sad look on her face was shown

"Your former master?" I asked

"Yes. I meet him when I was wondering through different forests. He was only 10 years old back then but I immediately know that I would be serving him as my master so right there I gave him my words that I will be his spirit guardian"

"When he turned 18 he was able to acquire the powers of a true deity holder but 10 years later a tragedy happend. He was killed by a priestess"

"Since the I quit contact with humans and hid myself but one day I found a new hope in me when I came into this village. They accepted me here and willingly let me stay even if they know the danger that it may bring" She narrated

"Now, tell me how can I trust a priestess?"

"Cause they're once a shaman just like my mother and so as your master" I said Camilla and Akashia seemed equally shocked

"This friend that I was talking about, she's 10 years older that me. The last time that I saw her was when I was 7. Three years ago I decided to go on a quest to look for my mother but instead I found her. Shocked to know that she was now a priestess I didn't dare to say any word about my mother being a shaman but surprisingly she brought out that topic. I stayed ther for a day and right before I left she told me that a lot of shaman had turned their back because of fear. That puzzled me a lot, now it all makes sense" I didn't bother to give further explanation cause I'm sure that they already get what I want to say

"Akashia, trusting in us and letting Aiden get the priestess can help us all. Maybe this preistess know what really is the reason for all that happend 10 years ago and what is the use of that medallion" Camilla said and for the first time I heard her agree with me. Camilla smiled at Akashia and she nod her head.

"I'll tust you two, no. I pledge my whole loyalty to you, once all this ends. I'll help you out when you also need mine" she said and with that after going back to the temple I went straight to our hotel pack some my clothes and some important stuffs and set out to find her; Priestess Leona.
