It's A Yes

Isla woke up by a loud bang on the door.

"Ouch my neck hurts so much" she said while rubbing her neck.

She was cold probably because she was sitting on the floor.

She painstakingly stood up with a bewildered expression.

Isla looked around her to see if the man was still there.

He was sitting on the chair again but his eyes were locked on her.

His gaze was empty but she could feel like it was gleaming with an emotion she couldn't comprehend.

"You.. you.."

"You should open the door now, I think the person's knuckles must be hurting already" he said, interrupting her.

Isla frowned but anyway opened the door only to see Logan standing at the doorstep.

"Logan? What are you doing here?"

"No, what are you doing here?" He asked, scanning her length.

His brows furrowed "I was looking everywhere for you"

"Why though? We don't have anything to talk about, do we?" Isla raised her brow.

"Who is inside?" He ignored her question and asked instead.

"What do you mean?" Her heart was slowly accelerating.

"Just tell me the truth Isla" He said with a serious expression.

"There's nothing to tell.."

"Then let me in," He snapped.

"Logan there's nothing to see" she was scared, what if he sees Devon and thinks differently and out of anger goes to inform her father? Even worse, what if someone hears him and spreads rumors?.

"So you won't let me in then?"

"What is there for you to see?" Isla inquired.

He narrowed his gaze "you look sleepy." He pointed.

"I am not" She denied immediately.

"Or were you just waking up?" He continued to ask.

"I said no," she said with a firm voice.

"Then let me in," He demanded. He walked closer to her ready to find his way in.

"What is going on here?" A familiar voice asked.

"Papa?" She turned to see her father and uncle walking together.

"Isla? Logan?" Her uncle called.

"Logan, can you tell us what you both are doing here?"

"Good evening pappa, I found Isla here and she refused to explain as well"

"Isla" Her father turned to look at her.

Her uncle had a creased face, he was surely wondering why they were making a big deal out of it.

"I-I came here because I thought it was unoccupied"

"You thought?" Her uncle repeated as his frown deepened. He clearly looked like he was lost in deep thoughts.

"You mean you found out it was not unoccupied when you.." Logan trailed off as he saw the door widened behind her.

"To what do I owe this visit?" A deep voice enquired.

"Devon," her father said simply.

"Devon?" Her uncle repeated as a question.

Devon raised his brows "And you are?"

"Oliver" Oliver replied almost immediately.

Devon nodded and shifted his gaze to Logan.

Logan had no intention of introducing himself, his gaze was still locked on Isla.

He was upset, it was obvious. He tried not to look at Devon's penetrating gaze.

The man was perfect. The minute he came outside and stood before them, he was fazed, unable to react to anything around him as he got completely hypnotized by the unearthly beauty he saw.

"Umm, this is Logan," Oliver said.

He could feel the tension and it was really uncomfortable.

"Isla?" Her father called this time with a serious look.

Isla gasped, seeing the look of annoyance in her father's eyes.

"I need to speak with Devon," her father said. They immediately got the idea of what he meant.

They walked away from there. Isal spared Devon a gaze. His eyes were blankly looking at her father.

"Yes? Is there something I must know?" He asked.

"Yes. About what we discussed, I have finally decided on that"

Devon turned to face him with his narrowed gaze.

"It's a yes"
