"That's true," the maid murmured, her voice tinged with hesitation. She glanced back over her shoulder before nodding in agreement. "But my young master prefers not to be disturbed. Thank you for the offer." With a sigh, she turned on her heels. "Mister?" She addressed the captain, only to find him lost in his daydreams. Resigned, she slowly closed the door once more.

"Is this alright, young master?" After closing the door, the maid cast a helpless glance at her young master, a wry smile playing on her lips.
Laura returned to find their room in utter disarray. While she could certainly clean it up, the task would consume a considerable amount of her time.
"Yes, just leave it be. There are too many secrets to hide," Desmond replied without batting an eye. He simply didn't want any additional problems, and the thought of a stranger intruding into his room made him uneasy.
