Gomon broke his promise and showed Roja and Fujitora how to create a makeshift sleeping spot using discarded materials. He decided to stay with them.
As night descended, lying on a bed made of tough, abandoned bricks, the stench in the air surpassed even Bianzhen, making it hard for Gomon to get any sleep.
He questioned his decision to return to this filthy place, wondering if it was foolish. Maybe it was the moment when that unique boy approached the garbage mountain, delving into the refuse and actually choosing to live amidst the trash that fueled Gomon's seemingly absurd belief that this young man could truly change the world.
"It's absurd," Gomon chuckled at his own thoughts.
After a restless night, a quiet murmur escaped him, "Let's give it another shot."
The following morning, Roja and Fujitora rose and explored the uncertain array of items in the terminal. True to form, Roja clutched his iconic paper and pen, jotting down notes.
This routine persisted for the next few days. Gomon couldn't have imagined that the aristocratic young man he initially doubted would endure in such circumstances.
Their once-neat clothes now bore slight tears, and their faces and hands had acquired a layer of dirt.
In this realm of uncertainty, cleanliness was a luxury. The more time spent here, the more one resembled the refuse around.
Nevertheless, Roja and Fujitora pressed on. They delved into the harsh environment, immersing themselves in the lives of those residing in the uncertain object terminal.
Observing their transformation from pristine and radiant to progressively dishevelled was quite remarkable.
In the chat room, instead of experiencing disgust or contempt, people felt admiration. Quite a few even developed a sense of respect.
"I am nowhere near his level," sighed Long Yi.
It wasn't a mindset of winning or losing but rather a sense of shame Long felt about himself. Despite always considering himself a practical, humble individual, he couldn't help but acknowledge the impact this person had, making him question his own beliefs and potential to bring about change in the world.
Yet, when measured against Roja, he falls significantly short.
The Goa Kingdom is his birthplace. He has resided here for almost three decades, and theoretically, he should be more acquainted with it than anyone else.
But the reality?
He hasn't contributed anything to this country.
Despite being aware of the country's darker aspects, he remains aloof, observing from a higher vantage point, detached.
He has traversed the uncertain object terminal many times, but he has never truly lived there, never halted to understand, investigate, or delve into its intricacies.
What he did happened after many years had passed.
When the rulers of the Kingdom of Goa destroyed the place where uncertain objects were kept, they also captured those who sought freedom.
It seems that he never truly grasped the desires of those who sought freedom, nor did he consider how to make things better in this place.
Witnessing the spread of darkness, Roja decided to explore its essence and find a way to overcome it.
Fujitora: I envy that world where such a character can lead.
Garp: If someone can reach that level, it's only natural to follow them.
Bartholomew Kuma: How exactly will he transform the country?
The Bear once journeyed to the Terminus of Uncertainty in the Kingdom of Goa, which had decayed under the rule of those in power.
He wanted to see what Roja would do in such a dire situation.
Even the dragons and others back then couldn't change this place. Can Roja, who was weaker than them at the start, truly make a difference here?
Ten days later, early in the morning, Roja and Fujitora arrived at the beach and washed themselves thoroughly with water.
"Are you finally leaving?" Ge Meng's appearance had transformed from that of a petty thug to a grimy, sinister look.
During those ten days, he had shadowed Roja and the others, never straying from the terminal of the uncertain object.
Seeing Roja and Fujitora cleaned up now, a hint of disappointment flickered in his eyes.
"Yes, anyway, this place has always been a dump, and no one pays attention to it. Frankly, I'm surprised you lasted ten days," Roja remarked.
"What do you mean, Gomon?" Roja held up the notebook in his hand and smiled. "Our research on this place is almost complete, and the next step is to transform it."
"Reform? Are you planning to renovate this place?" Ge Meng exclaimed in surprise.
"It's us. We want to transform this place," Roja said, gesturing to himself, Fujitora, Gomon, and the entire terminus of uncertain objects.
"The power of one person is limited, but the power of the masses is boundless. Transforming a place relies not only on individual strength," Roja explained.
"Please, Mr. Smile," Roja requested Fujitora.
"Don't worry, leave it to me." With a flourish of Fujitora's sword and cane, a brick soared into the air, supporting him as he flew towards the Kolber Mountains.
"Let's go," Roja said to Gomon after Fujitora departed.
"Where are you off to?" Ge Meng asked, still in a daze.
"Go and rally the people," Roja said with a smile.
Afterwards, he produced a large plastic board from seemingly nowhere and tossed it to Gomon before heading towards the edge of the terminal.
Ge Meng caught the plastic board and read the simple message written on it: "Clean up the garbage and feast on meat."
"What does this mean?" Ge Meng was puzzled.
"It's as simple as that," Roja walked and shouted loudly repeatedly: "Those who come with me will feast on meat."
The terminal was actually quite large. When Roja had a bird's-eye view before, it appeared to be almost half the size of the king's capital.
At this moment, prompted by Roja's shouting, dirty individuals emerged from the garbage piles one by one.
They were no strangers to Roja. Over the past ten days, word had spread about Roja and Fujitora, a pair of outsiders who were quite powerful but lived amidst the rubbish.
Due to their trust in Roja's strength, many people who begged for a living in the garbage dump followed suit at that moment.
They weren't longing for just a piece of meat. For them, the prospect of enjoying a clean, hot meal was already a significant blessing.
With Roja's resounding calls to action, it didn't take long for a considerable number of people to gather behind him.
Led by Roja, they made their way to the outskirts of the terminal, near the Korpo Mountains.
