When Ian showed up once again, it was on an island where one of the branches of the marines existed.
He showed up from the fog carrying with him the three idiot admirals.
He threw Kizaru away with a kick and laid down the two injured ones gently.
He then sat down on the ground in shock.
'What the fuck was that?' He couldn't help but question.
Before he had reached them and helped them, he had just reached Marijois.
And the moment he had teleported in front of the castle, something unexpected had happened. Otherwise, he would have come much sooner and helped them all.
Just as he had felt their place and wanted to teleport there, he heard the sound of the wind 'Whooshing' as if something was coming towards him at a fast speed.
Ian got alerted and entered his Raijin mode immediately and then took his spear out.
He thought that Im had detected him or something but it was something else.
It was in the shape of a sword, but it was ethereal in looks as if it didn't really exist.
Ian stayed alert and when it came near too much he tried to hit it away, but to his shock, it actually dispersed into light particles the moment it touched his spear. The light particles then entered his spear, and Ian was able to know what had happened immediately, by images that appeared in his mind.
It was a weapon made especially to destroy the Diávolois. Ian didn't know by whom, but he could take a guess and say one of the two rulers…
The sword wasn't sentient, but it appeared someone had made it so that when one has it, they would know what its purpose was.
Ian guessed that it was some Devil fruit ability to put memories into objects.
In the images, he saw the sword cut a diávoloi, and they weren't able to regenerate. And then when one dealt a strong enough blow, they would die.
And now it had merged with his spear.
Ian didn't need it actually as he could kill them, but it would make it easier for him, so he didn't mind this at all.
But as he was standing there and looking at his spear, all of a sudden, a huge dark and vile aura exploded from the throne room.
Ian was shocked in place by the amount of power he could feel from the throne room.
Whatever that was, it was the strongest thing he had felt until now.
Was that the real power of Im?
Ian actually didn't go save them immediately this time. Instead, he reconsidered.
That's how much the power had left an impression on him…
But after a second, he resolved himself to do it. He won't break his promise to Garp. And he was not a coward that will run away just like that.
Plus his confidence came back.
Even if something went wrong, he could always run away.
And now after helping them and escaping, here he was sitting on the ground and pondering what hell that dark, corrupt presence was.
He knew that the dark tentacle was not the originator of the aura, and was more like just a part of the real body.
And that one alone was almost a hundred-meter tall… How big was the real body?
Ian for the first time didn't want to know something like that. He was better without it.
He could guess that maybe that was Im's real form. But considering the yell he heard before he had come to save them… maybe Im was just a minion actually.
And this presence was the real threat. It also felt like the diávoloi except it was much more evil and vile.
He would think more about this later. Right now he had to finish here and get back to his hip since his crew were just about to reach Elbaf.
For now, he got up and went towards Kizaru. Since he had the chance now, he would solve all the problems they had.
Kizaru got up from the ground, he was the only one who could move right now. Albeit slowly since he had a hole in his stomach.
He sat up in the ground and looked at his fellow admirals who weren't able to move as smoothly as him, still eventually they had managed to sit up similarly to him.
Ian stood next to Kizaru and started.
"That time when you fought me, did 'you' want to kill me?" Ian asked him directly.
Kizaru sighed. He guessed Garp or Sengoku had told Ian.
"I didn't want to no. I knew you were strong, and after you showed me about Im, I gave up on confronting you." He replied.
"But later on the thoughts to kill you kept getting stronger and stronger, and I don't know why." He added.
Ian nodded.
He knew he was saying the truth now.
He looked at Kizaru who had an arm replaced by a robotic one.
"Then, I will forget about what happened. But… Kizaru… And this goes for all of you… Don't take my kindness as a sign of weakness. I'll destroy you if anything similar happens." Ian said and warned them.
He was willing to let bygones be bygones, but if it happened again… then they were done for. He will not care about their circumstances… He will annihilate them from existence.
"You know what we are facing… I hope you can be on our side when the time comes…" Ian added before he went towards Issho and the reckless admiral, Ryokugyu.
He then started healing them, and once done, even the reckless idiot stayed his hands this time.
All of them there knew that they would have died today.
But their supposed enemy is the one who saved them. Right now, they knew that Ian was not an evil person.
Otherwise, why would he do that for them?
Ian then proposed.
"Kizaru, I can heal your arm for you. And as for you Admiral Fujitora, I can heal your eyes too. It's your choice!" Ian told them.
In the case of Kizaru, he knew that the new robotic arm bothered him even if he didn't show it. And since he decided to forget about what happened he will help him this time.
As to Fujitora, he knew that the guy expressed in the anime some regret in regards to his eyes. How he wished he didn't do that just so that he can see Luffy.
Ian can grant him that favor. Plus he liked the guy.
After all, he was the one who called an enemy to save his friends… That's how far he was willing to go.
Kizaru looked deeply at his robotic arm and sighed after a few seconds.
He removed it by clicking on a few buttons before smoke was released and it fell off. He then said.
"Please do… and… thank you." He then closed his eyes as he waited.
Ian nodded and moved closer, he then concentrated on his work and a few minutes later, Kizaru had his arm back.
Kizaru started having his feeling back in his hand and started moving it.
He noticed that it was a bit sluggish in comparison to his other arm, but he knew that that must be due to it being new. He had to train with it for a while before it would be perfect like normal.
He gave Ian a deep look and then bowed his head towards him before he got up from the ground and started moving his new arm around.
He didn't say anything but inside, he was vowing himself to never be against Ian and to somehow repay this favor.
On the other side, Issho who had been healed by Ian took a few minutes to think about it.
After a while he said.
"There are a few people I wish I could see with my own eyes…" He muttered.
And Ian understood his meaning so he put his hand above his head and concentrated on his work.
After a while, Issho opened his purple-coloured eyes for the first time in a while … The scar on his face was gone.
He squinted due to the light being bright for his sensitive eyes, but after a while, he adjusted and his eyes wandered around until it landed on Ian.
'You look as kind as you are, young Ian…' He thought to himself while a smile appeared on his face.
He bowed his head.
"Thank you for doing this, Ian-dono." He spoke with heavy feelings.
Ian smiled.
"No problem." He said.
He then moved towards the last admiral and extended his hand for a handshake.
"From now on we start a new page," Ian said.
Ryokugyu shook Ian's hand and nodded. He appreciated that Ian was this easy-going.
Ian then added after letting go and starting to walk away.
"Don't be so reckless in the future." He laughed and then he vanished in a black fog.
