Exiting the warehouse, William soared to the Empire State Building and perched atop a gargoyle, his expression vacant. Blood from a head wound stained him from face to chest, and his once vibrant green aura, which had been blazing wildly, was now dimming. As the last flicker of green energy dissipated, William began to lose consciousness but before he completely blacked out, he glanced at the quest notification in the corner of his vision and saw a portion of the quest!
"SYSTEM QUEST NOTIFICATION: QUEST: SAVE YOUR MOTHER - PARTIAL FAILURE
"Quest 1: Save mother - Failed - Punishment will dispense shortly."
"Quest 2: Defeat Enemies - success - reward will dispense shortly."
"Bonus: Injured Green goblin - reward will dispense shortly."
William was trying to view his rewards when his vision finally went dark consciousness left him.
A few minutes ago, shortly after goblin escaped:
Within a city laboratory, the screech of metal pierced the air as a glider, its main thruster severely damaged, struggled to land through the opening. Upon the glider's back knelt a green goblin, intently reviewing the video feed of his recent battle, his eyes ablaze with an intense fire of hatred.
He recalls the sensation of the creature seizing him; the force exerted by its fingers was enough to leave slight indentations on his helmet.
The video shows the being chasing after him destroying a helicopter with those hateful energy blasts and the sight of the blazing green aura sent a flash of anger through Goblins veins and he started smashing miscellaneous objects!
"CRASH!"
"SMASH!"
"AHHHHHH ILL KILL THAT BASTARD AND THAT SPIDERMAN ILL KILL THEM ALL HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! - Green goblin"
He hurled his glider at the wall, which erupted in a fiery explosion, scattering metal shards in all directions. One razor-sharp piece found its mark in the eye of the raging Green Goblin.
A Roar shook the lab scaring some of the staff nearby in an adjacent room.
In the present:
Spiderman traversed the cityscape with urgency, his every sense heightened as he sought the whereabouts of his formidable adversary. Despite his vigilance, the elusive Goblin remained out of sight, yet a foreboding sensation gripped him—a harbinger of the impending confrontation.
He stops at a lamp post to gather his thoughts, and his mind drifts back to the image of his brother, encircled by flames and soaring through the air.
"Today has been a whirlwind of bizarre events; it started with an unexpected attack by the Green Goblin and now, in an astonishing twist, my brother has transformed into a luminous green glow stick. - Spider-Man"
Spider-Man was deeply confused, but eventually he swung away to continue his search for his adversary
Tony Stark, the CEO of Stark Industries, exuded confidence as he addressed a gathering of military officials and media representatives in Afghanistan. His purpose was to unveil the newest breakthrough in missile technology: the formidable Jericho missile system.
"A marvelous explosion...! - Attendee 1"
""Just a trifle, merely a plaything that my team could easily construct in a brief period!" - General Ross"
Tony was unfazed by Ross's stubborn stance; years of acquaintance had immunized him against such quirks. Unlike Ross, Tony was the captain of his own ship, steering clear of the outsourcing squalls. So, in the end, it was Ross who had to swallow the anchor and deal with it!
After his Presentation Tony was driving to the militaries airstrip when a group of terrorists, known as the Ten Rings, emerged from the surrounding hills. They were well-armed and well-trained, and they quickly overpowered the military personnel guarding Tony.
"BOOM!"
"BRRRT!"
"RETURN FIRE... AHHHHHGH! - Soldier"
"BRRRT!"
"BRRRT!"
"THUD!"
an explosive landed near Tony, and he managed to see the logo and what he saw had him taken aback, it was his...!
[STARK INDUSTRIES]
"BOOM!"
Tony was caught in a state of shock as the missile detonated, propelling him through the air and embedding shrapnel into his chest.
Time seemed to stand still for him, and before he knew it, he was encircled by his assailants, some bearing the stark evidence of recent conflict with blood smeared on their worn equipment.
Tony regains consciousness, feeling disoriented. As his vision clears, he sees a diminutive figure in the corner, busily modifying the casing of a Jericho missile. The man, noticing Tony's awakening, approaches with a cup of murky water. The pungent odor makes Tony recoil instinctively.
"Ahh!"
Pain racks Tony's chest as he finally notices the wires connected to his chest and an off-brand car battery, the small man sets down the water and tries to help tony to a better position before explaining what was going on.
"Hello Mr. Stark, my name is Doctor Ho Yinsen! - Yinsen"
The man lifted his hand in a friendly wave, which made Tony visibly unwind. He then mirrored the gesture and proceeded to ask his question.
"Where are we and what's going on? these people have my military hardware, and I want to know why! - Tony"
the man nodded and proceeded to explain the situation.
Shortly after, one of the captors outside opened a panel in the door and slid in a tray of scarcely edible food, accompanied by instructions for constructing the Jericho.
"YOU WILL BUILD OR YOU WILL DIE SLOW! - Terrorist"
Tony stared at the food with a frown, aware that action was necessary but feeling at a loss. Suddenly, his gaze shifted to the scattered metal sheets and various materials around him, sparking a brilliant idea in his mind!
"A suit of armor, it could work! - Tony Mumbled"
A few days later after tony had finished the suit and was in the process of starting it up when they heard the approaching footsteps of their captors, they were coming fast, and it was apparent that they meant deadly business so tony was forced to forgo some of the safety protocols in an attempt to speed up the process!
"BANG!"
"RATTLE!"
"BANG!"
The door opened in a fury and a few men entered and pointed their weapons at the small doctor who was standing close to the door.
"Where is Stark, you old fool? Have you forgotten what transpired last time you decided to be willful? - Terrorist"
The man was visibly shaken but only closed his eyes and said nothing.
they were about to shoot the legs of the poor man when something happened!
Whirring and clanking sounds soon caught the attention of the rest of the armed men and suddenly they were blinded by a brilliant blue glow!
"THUMP!"
"THUMP!"
The men were unable to react before the sound of footsteps echoed in front of them. As they attempted to fire a shot, suddenly, a giant foot emerged from the light!
"CRACK!"
"AHHHHHHGH!"
The sound of ribs shattering was lost in the terrorist's screams as he was flung out of the room and into the cave. Before the others could react, a massive metal hand grabbed the two nearest men, smashing their heads together with a sickening crunch, sending a spray of blood across the cave walls.
The room fell silent, but the quiet was short-lived. The man who had been kicked outside, with his last breath, blew a whistle that echoed through the cave. In an instant, gunfire erupted, lighting up the cave and sending sparks flying around Tony in his suit. The air was thick with tension and the smell of gunpowder as Tony braced himself for the onslaught.
Tony ignited the flamethrowers and advanced, the echoes of the men's screams in the cave haunting the entrepreneur, yet he pressed on. After eliminating the remaining adversaries, Tony spun around to search for the doctor, only to find him tragically sprawled in a pool of mingled blood.
Tony paused...
Unaware of his departure from the room, he now bears the weight of guilt for the man's demise. This revelation hardened Tony as he emerged from the cave, only to be met by an overwhelming force of terrorists. However, what truly astonished Tony was the staggering quantity of his own equipment now possessed by these criminals.
"POWER DOWN THE SUIT OR YOU WILL BE KILLED, DO YOU REALLY THINK YOU ARE GOING TO LEAVE HERE ALIVE? - Terrorist Leader"
Under the Face mask tony sneered at the insinuation and proceeded to activate his missile system sending tiny but deadly explosives in every direction effectively destroying out the majority of the equipment
"BOOOM!"
"BOOOM!"
"BOOOM!"
"BOOOM!"
The devastation was palpable, and with his point made, Tony engaged his thrusters. Gradually gaining momentum, he ascended, his speed increasing steadily as he soared through the sky.
He succeeded in flying a considerable distance before the suit's power was depleted. As he began to plummet from the sky, he soon crashed into the sand dunes. The impact sent shards of metal and slag hurtling through the air, violently shaking him within the confines of the suit.
After extricating himself from the confines of his suit and removing the almost exhausted battery, Tony set out on foot across the barren desert. Fortuitously, a U.S. military helicopter happened to be in the vicinity, and in time, he was able to signal it down and secure transportation back to the United States.
Almost a week after their loss, the Parker family held a private funeral service to honor their beloved matriarch.
William embraced his younger brother, and Ben joined in, wrapping them both in a comforting hug as they grieved together. However, as rain began to fall, Ben led the teenagers back home, offering them a chance to rest after the day's emotional events.
Ben switched on the television, his gaze empty as he watched, punctuated only by sporadic sniffling. He tuned in just as the news segment concluded, which detailed the emerging threat to the city, an entity now referred to as Viridian.
Before long, the Parker house dimmed into darkness as its inhabitants opted to slumber through their sorrow, in a manner of speaking.
The following day, the Parker family welcomed friends and distant relatives into their home. Before long, the space was filled with individuals familiar with Ben and May, along with several friends and acquaintances of the children.
Suddenly, the room's atmosphere shifted as Norman Osborn walked in, accompanied by his son Harry. William caught sight of the man, a fleeting look of animosity crossing his features before he swiftly composed himself. With a composed demeanor, he beckoned Harry over for a conversation.
Norman's eye twitched, a fleeting sense of threat washing over him, but it dissipated as quickly as it had come. Shaking off the feeling, he made his way over to his acquaintance, Ben, who greeted him with the warmth reserved for an old friend of his brother.
"Peter, William... I'm so sorry for your loss!" Harry said, hugging the brothers.
William and Peter embraced the hug; after all, they had received so many that day, what was one more? Shortly after, the boys found themselves in another room, engaging in lively conversation, while the sound of the news broadcast hummed softly in the background.
In the dim glow of the room, Peter Parker was encircled by faces he knew well. His elder brother William and his closest friend, Harry Osborn, faced him from across the space. A heavy silence filled the air, a reflection of the solemn reason for their meeting—the recent loss of Aunt May.
The television broadcasted in the background, with the news anchor continuing: "...in local news, the Queens community is uniting in grief over the passing of May Parker, a cherished figure in the area. Her absence will be profoundly felt."
Overwhelmed by anger, Peter turned off the TV and collapsed onto the couch, allowing himself a moment to soothe the sharp pangs of pain and grief that eclipsed all else.
William, who had been like a big brother to Peter since he could remember, placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder and squeezed lightly. But William's thoughts continued to linger downstairs at the man who was responsible—Norman Osborn.
"Peter, William, it's hard to express the depth of my feelings... Aunt May was like a second mother to me," Harry said.
Peter's eyes welled up with tears. "I just wish I could have protected her. She didn't deserve to go like that."
William's hold on Peter's shoulder grew firmer. "You can't hold yourself responsible, Pete. This wasn't your doing."
A silence filled the room.
Harry spoke up, his voice filled with emotion. "We're here for you, Pete. We'll get through this together."
As they mourned, Peter's thoughts turned to the pain of losing Aunt May, and his determination to bring justice to those responsible.
"I'll make sure they pay for this," Peter whispered, his jaw clenched.
William and Harry shared a look of concern.
"Pete, let's focus on celebrating Aunt May's life," William said gently.
Peter nodded, inhaling deeply. "You're right. She would have wanted us to cherish the happy memories."
Together, the trio shared a moment of resolve, honoring Aunt May's memory.
Later, when the sun went down, Obadiah Stane, Tony Stark's uncle, was sitting across from Tony as they were having drinks.
Suddenly, Tony's body went limp.
"Tony, I'm sorry," Obadiah said.
"What's going on, Obadiah?" Tony asked, disoriented.
"You're becoming a problem, Tony," Obadiah replied.
"What...what did you..." Tony stammered.
Obadiah removed the Arc Reactor core. "I'm just taking care of the company, Tony."
Tony lay unmoving, staring hatefully at his former colleague as Obadiah walked out the door with his trophy in hand.
Tony, sprawled across the floor, summoned every bit of his willpower to inch toward the case nearby. Inside that case was his groundbreaking first attempt at miniaturized arc technology—a testament to his ingenuity and determination.
In the Parker residence, Ben Parker was watching the news.
Breaking News: Iron Man vs. Obadiah Stane
In an unexpected development, billionaire industrialist Tony Stark, widely recognized as Iron Man, has found himself in a heated conflict with Obadiah Stane, his one-time mentor and business associate.
The recent confrontation at Stark Industries' headquarters has left the city reeling in a mix of shock and amazement. The event, which unfolded at the central hub of the renowned tech company, has become the focal point of discussions across the metropolis.
According to eyewitness accounts, the conflict commenced with Stane, clad in an imposing armor referred to as the Iron Monger, initiating an unexpected assault on Stark.
The confrontation escalated quickly, with both individuals employing sophisticated technology and weaponry, resulting in considerable destruction to the vicinity.
William and Peter, each lounging in their respective rooms, were alerted by the news report—proving that sometimes, thin walls have their advantages. William quickly slipped into his battle-worn armor, grimacing as the material aggravated an existing bruise. With a surge of vibrant ki, he transformed into Viridian and sprang into action!
In the adjacent room, Peter hurried to don his uniform, stumbling over his foot in the process, which left him as red as his outfit. But within minutes, the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man was soaring through the air, heading straight for Stark Towers!
William soared through the skies at breakneck speed, arriving at the battlefield just in time to see Obadiah, clad in his formidable "Iron Monger" suit, gaining the upper hand over Tony. With a menacing intent to compress him into a metal pulp, Obadiah pressed on. In response, William summoned a potent orb of ki into each palm, hurling a barrage of precise blasts at the Iron Monger. Each hit took its toll, methodically disabling several of the suit's thrusters with unerring precision.
Obadiah's thrusters went rogue on one side, turning his graceful flight into a slapstick spectacle. He zigzagged through the air, limbs akimbo, before crash-landing with a thud. His colossal suit skidded across the rooftop, screeching to a halt just shy of the far edge—a comic book landing if there ever was one!
Iron Man, who was finally free of Obadiah's grip, noticed the gently glowing figure in the distance who lent him his aid.
"Thanks, but I didn't need your help," Tony snarked.
William smirked, knowing full well Tony was notorious as a douchebag but at least he was funny!
Obadiah steadied himself and started firing missiles indiscriminately, propelling Tony through the air and obstructing William's view of the combatants.
William watched closely as lights shifted within the cloud of dust and dirt, and two silhouettes became continuously more visible as they continued to blast each other with their respective repulsor cannons.
Obadiah held a slight edge with his superior energy source, yet as he prepared to unleash a final repulsor blast at Tony's silhouette, Tony, barely able to stand, was nearly depleted of power and could only close his eyes.
"WOOSH!"
"BOOM!"
Tony heard the whoosh of wind as he was yanked backward by a web-like substance, and almost instantly, the roar of a massive explosion sent him tumbling across the roof, his arms entangled in webs, hindering his attempts to wriggle free.
In a tense moment, Obadiah attempted to crush Tony under his colossal metal foot. Despite frantically pressing the lever, the foot stalled, hovering just above the man's head. Panic set in for Obadiah as he watched Tony valiantly hold back the immense weight. Suddenly, William intervened, heaving the foot aside with a herculean effort and unleashing a powerful energy blast towards the cockpit of the Iron Monger suit, making Obadiah recoil in shock.
William smirked and said with full confidence, "Made ya flinch, you old bald bastard!"
William floated backward, causing Obadiah to be confused. But when he tried to make a move, he started to fall as it turned out the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man had been webbing his legs!
Obadiah started to fall forward, and before anyone could intervene, he plummeted, cockpit first, into
the ground below, resulting in the man's demise.
Having extricated himself from the webbing, Tony approached his "savior" and, with a blend of grimness and his characteristic snark, started to introduce himself.
"hi I'm Billionaire, Playboy, Philanthropist Tony Stark I'm sure you have heard of me! - Tony Stark"
