Training week

Right as the three of them head out to the back of the gym they see Jasmine training her Magnemite and Steelix. Finn looks over at Ampharos who seems to be taking a break from training for the moment and walks over to him. Ampharos looks at Finn and smiles at him. Finn stares at Ampharos before saying. "You really trust her don't you? You try so hard just for her sake and you care for her so much." Finn smiles and puts his hand up to Ampharos' face and rubs behind his ears.

Jasmine walks over to Finn and rubs behind Ampharos' other ear. "He likes it behind this ear more. I over heard what you said and I want to know, could you tell his emotions and tendencies just by looking at him?" Finn stops petting Ampharos and looks at Jasmine "I don't actually know. I just feel like I know how he feels from looking at him up close."

Finn shrugs his shoulders at Jasmine and then turns and walks towards Michael. Michael flinches a little when Finn walks up to him. Finn steps right in front of him and then steps to the side and does a 180 "Jasmine, this is Michael and he has a fairly strong Shinx. but they need help with there electric power and team work. If you will allow him on my behalf, can he train with us?" Finn grabs Michaels head and has both of them bow.

Jasmine responds with a smile on her face. "Do you think I'm the type to say no when someone asks for help with training? I'm a gym leader after all. Yes you can join us." Finn looks at Michael and gives him a thumbs up. "Since there is an extra person now, I am going to be splitting you up this whole each with one of my Pokémon and that way my Pokémon will get ready to face Lance. Michael you will train with Magnemite so you can get better with your Shinx as a team. Emelia, you will work with Steelix. He isn't as mean as he looks, he's kind of a softy. Last but not least, Finn you will work with Ampharos since you seem to know more about Pokémon than you let on."

Jasmine "Now that everyone has their own set plans everyone let out your Pokémon." First Emelia let out her Cyndaquil and then her Teddiursa. Michael was next to let out his Pokémon. Out came Shinx and then a Starly that stood on his shoulder. Finn just stands there watching as everyone was releasing their Pokémon.

Jasmine "Aren't you going to send out your Pokémon?"

Finn "Oh, I don't need to. She sleeps in my hood."

Jasmine "What do you mean by that?"

Finn points his thumb behind his head "ACE. Let's go!"

As if it was straight out of a movie Eevee jumps out of his hood. Finn stands there holding his arms out waiting for her to land. Jasmine stands there slightly confused "I guess that works. Let's get started."

------(Time skip to the last day of training which is the day Jasmine faces Lance)------

Over the last week everyone has been working on their battling and their bonds with each other. The last day of training is different from the rest. Through out the last six days everyone had the chance to battle. There were two Pokémon that rarely battled and did more bonding training than anything else. Those two were Teddiursa who was too timid to battle Steelix, and Eevee who was selected by Jasmine to do mainly bonding training after hear about Finn's story up until now.

Jasmine "It seems like everyone is doing great on training, but today is different. There will be no more battling from you three. Instead you will watch my battle today and get a first hand visual of how a gym leader and the two region champion battle."

Emelia who has made great strides this week can't help but get excited at seeing Lance battle up close "I can't wait. When is the battle?"

Jasmine "Speaking of that. It's actually soon so we are going to head there now."

Emelia can't hide her excitement and runs off to pack her bag. Finn facepalms "I told her to bring her bag."

After some time had passed, Emelia returns with her bag and everyone heads off to Silver town for the big event. Jasmine discusses what will happen right as they get there. "Since the three of you are with a gym leader you get VIP passes. You can do whatever you want but you can't cause anybody trouble."

Jasmine leads the group as they go to the front desk to check in. Jasmine pays for VIP passes for the three and then they head towards Jasmine's locker room. Finn is walking in the back of the group with his hands in his pockets when Eevee suddenly starts shaking. "Ace, what's up?" Eevee doesn't respond but pulls the back of Finns hair cause him to almost fall. "Ace what the hell?" Emelia and Michael turn around to see Finn almost fall.

Emelia "Finn are you ok?"

Finn steadies himself. "Yeah, I'm fine"

As Finn responds to Emelia, Eevee pulls his clothes "Ace what are you...." Mid sentence Eevee jumps out of his hood knocking him down. "I told you not to do that! Where are you going?" Eevee runs of in the other direction. "I'll be right back don't worry." Finn chases after her for what feels like 20 minutes. Finn finally catches up to Eevee as she is sitting in front of a man and his Dragonite. The man turns around and it turns out to be Lance.

Lance looks at him and then his Eevee and pets her on the head. "You should probably take your seat soon kid, you don't want to miss the battle."

Finn stares a whole through Lance and responds "My name is Finn." He turns around and starts to walk away. "Oh by the way..." Finn stops and turns his head to the side just enough to look at Lance. "Don't call me kid!" Finn then walks away and heads to his seat in the front row of the arena in the middle of Emelia and Michael.

Michael "Are you guys ok?"

Finn "Yeah we're fine. I'll tell you both the story later."

Over the intercom "I hope everyone is excited for todays battle. First, to the left is the Steel gym leader of Olivine city.... Jasmine! And to the right. He is the Champion of our beloved Johto region and the Kanto region, He. Is. Lance."

Both trainers walk to the stadium and stare each other with fiery eyes.

Referee "Today will be a 3 on 3 battle and both trainers may substitute their Pokémon at will. If both trainers are ready then begin."
