Chapter 40 - Victor versus Sakazuki, Part 4

Down at the battle ground, Sakazuki who had nearly accumulated enough power to his attack narrowed his eyes.

Like everyone else, he also had the same thing on his mind.

What was this ridiculous posture like your hand was a bazooka about to launch some invisible rocket.

Victor ignored the skeptical expression and spoke suspiciously. "This is the first time I'm using this attack... I don't know how it would fare against your trump move."

Victor wasn't lying, he really did not know what would happen after what he was about to attempt.

He's had this idea for a while now, and this is the first time he was about to put it into a tryout.

A small, less than a centimeter, invisible ball of pure energy condensed, and at that same instant, he directed enormous amounts of Armament Haki towards it, now making it look as if he had a black marble hovering in front, at the center of his outstretched palm.

The process was instantaneous. None of the onlookers, even Kong and Garp failed to detect the presence of pure energy.

Even if they could, they could best only speculate, but wouldn't know what it was.

His plan was to imbue Armament Haki over pure energy, and 'plagiarize' Uzumaki Naruto's 'Rasenshuriken'.

Of course, the pure energy ball he had condensed was calculated enough to cause minimal destruction, as he did not want to obliterate Sakazuki into molecules.

The result, however, was beyond his expectations that even Jaya had prompted multiple alarms inside his head.

Victor was startled. "Will this cause permanent damage to my body?" He asked.

He would terminate his actions immediately and give in, depending of Jaya's response. After all, one defeat is nothing compared to any permanent damage to his physique.

[No, sir. However, it would take more time to recover from heavy cellular injuries to the arm, since you had advised that you will not be able to use the rejuvenation chamber often.]

"Oh… Then it's ok… I can still recover completely, right?"

[Yes, sir.]

"Good."

Just after the momentary conversation with Jaya, Victor supplied even more Haki to the small sphere of pure energy he had condensed.

It was pure black, and the size had increased from less than a centimeter to about the size of a tennis ball.

Victor wasn't sure what would happen, and even injected a bit more pure energy, until, purple-black lightning started flickering on the fist-size black sphere's surface.

"Fuck… Did I just… Is this… Counterfeit Conqueror Haki??" Victor was startled, while the small crackles of purple-black lighting started flashing even more vigorously, to the ground and surroundings, eradicating the rocks and debris it made contact with.

Meanwhile over at the walls.

"Color of the Supreme King?" Zephyr spoke in a high voice. He was surprised, of course he was. This was something rarer than Devil-Fruits.

"No! But… Something even more ridiculous…" Kong corrected. He sounded same, extremely excited. After all, Victor was to be his subordinate.

"Is he…" Sengoku spoke. He had a guess of what was happening, but the absurdity of the thought made it unable for him to complete his words.

"Bwahahaha… What Ridiculous Haki… I wonder if I'd be able to replicate that…" Garp laughed, however, in his mind, he was also feeling the same as Sengoku.

"I don't know… But… Look at his arm…" Kong pointed, while the latter's followed.

Victor's outstretched arm was visibly withering on the surface, as if it was a coat of paper being burned.

"That move, it seems to cause a lot of damage to him…" He further added.

"It seems so… But… to actually… Condense Armament Haki?" Tsuru also remarked, and like everybody else, her tone also sounded disbelieving.

After all, what Victor was attempting, that they unanimously theorized, was something unheard off, ever.

Only a few seconds had passed, Victor and Sakazuki had now accumulated enough power to their attacks.

"Heeh…" Victor gave one final smirk before saying, "Don't die, you wannabe living tribunal…"

And utilizing some minuscule amount of pure energy, — so little that it was invisible, — he pushed the extremely unstable, Haki imbued energy ball.

Simultaneously, Sakazuki also released his attack.

*Major Eruption*

*Boom* … *Boom*

At this moment, the people in the audience had all held their breaths.

Victor's attack moved, flashing black lighting, while destroying anything that it came in contact with. The ground below cratered a one-meter-wide line, that followed the path of Victor's attack, even though it was two meters above it.

Sakazuki's * Major Eruption* likewise wasn't idle. Like a blazing eruption, it destroyed everything on its path before finally colliding.

"…"

Different to everyone's expectations, there came no sound of a collision, nor a follow-up shockwave. Victor's attack, it literally disintegrated Sakazuki's blazing magma wave, first from the front, and while drilling its way through, reduced the following magma in to withering particles.

Sakazuki watched in disbelief as his powerful attack, that he had poured nearly all his remaining power into, got disintegrated like a withering piece of paper. The gap in power was too outrageous.

And this wasn't all.

Feeling the unprecedented threat coming his way, he immediately got ready in a stance to block, as it was already too late to dodge.

He crossed his arms and hardened them with his best Armament Haki, before getting ready for the imminent contact.

*Crackle* Crackle*

*Boom* *Boom* *Boom*

*Crackle* *Crackle*

The tiny, yet powerful sphere of energy stopped while spreading purple-black lighting randomly, destroying anything that came in contact.

*BOOOOOOMMMM*

Subsequently, a powerful shockwave spread creating a large crater from the center, while dragging rocks and debris outwards in a circle towards the surrounding walls.

"DAMMMITTT!

AAAAARRRHHHH!!!"

Using every bit of Haki and stamina he had left, Sakazuki momentarily halted the advance of Victor's attack.

But.

It lasted only for a few seconds before his skin started visibly peeling off then turning in to dust, — indifferent to him being a Logia Devil-Fruit user.

Kong up in the wall was the first to realize, and he shouted "GARP! SENGOKU!… MOVE!! NOW!!"

The said men did not question, as they too had realized that the magma ability user was ironically about to get incinerated.

Sakazuki barely held on, and just before he lost consciousness, he saw two silhouettes appear to his left and right.

*Armament Emission!*

Garp and Sengoku both used the highly advanced form of Armament Haki to counter the volatile attack of Victor.

*BOOM!*

To no one's surprise, Victor's attack immediately ceased its advance, but the two men clearly felt the destructive power behind it.

However, the combined Haki emission from two of the most powerful marines, eventually had completely countered the volatility behind it.

And fortunately, the shockwave had not reached the walls before the sphere of energy completely scattered into nothing.

Silence.
