First Fight

"Where are you taking me, Grandpa?!" Luffy shouted as he squirmed in his grandfather's grip, having by the collar of his shirt.

He knew where Garp was taking him, but he didn't know the specifics. He was taking him to Mt. Club, it's a mountain behind Foosha Village that is full of mountain bandits. Well, less full after he beat the hell out of that stupid bandit.

"I'm taking you there to introduce you to someone. He's ten years old and I'm sure he'll be a great friend of yours." Garp replied, making Luffy all the more curious. 

No way was Garp leaving Luffy where he could meet any more pirates. Luffy was going to be a great Marine! That red-haired bastard already did that damage by giving Luffy that hat, and don't even get him started on that damn cutlass...

They arrived at a house in the middle of the wilderness. Garp banged on the door. "Oi!! Dadan, you old bag!! Get the hell out here!!" Garp shouted. A second later, an older woman and two men came to the door.

"Garp! You old bastard! I can't handle another one!" The now-named Dadan shouted as she pointed at Luffy.

Luffy looked at her and got confused. His grandpa just explained to him what the difference between guys and girls was earlier today, and what he was seeing made him question what he learned. It made sense with someone like Makino or Uta, but there is no way this Dadan person has the same stuff as them. 

"Well, too bad! Where's that brat Ace?" Garp said as he looked around. Luffy felt his instincts tell him to dodge, so he listened and took a quick step to his left. He looked down and saw the spit that landed where he was standing. He turned around and looked up.

He saw a boy a few years older than him looking at him with a look of aggression. He looked pretty familiar, but he couldn't think of it so he ignored the feeling.

This is Portgas D. Ace, born as Gol D. Ace. He is the biological son of the late pirate king, Gol D. Roger, and the late Portgas D. Rouge. His heritage has been hidden by Garp for his protection after adopting him after witnessing his mother hold him in the womb for 20 months to protect him from the World Government killing off every newborn and pregnant woman to ensure the Pirate King has no descendants.

He was dragging a dead buffalo, looking at Luffy even more pissed off than before. Luffy narrowed his eyes at him.

"That isn't nice, you know." He pointed out. Ace narrowed his eyes at him and spat at him once again.

Luffy dodged it calmly, making Ace growl. As he went up to this brat the old man dragged here to put him in his place, he completely lost sight of him, only seeing the massive grin on the old man's face.

"If that's how you want to be…" Ace heard from behind him as he whipped around, only to see a fist right in front of his face.

"Then I should teach you some manners!!"

*BAM!!!*

The next thing Ace knew he was waking up in his bed with a pounding headache. The headache only got much worse when he looked up and saw the same kid that caused it.

"Hi!! My name's Luffy!! Wanna be friends??" Luffy said with a massive smile as he saw Ace wake up. He was worried he hit him too hard, but he was still breathing so he thought it was fine.

"No. Leave me alone." Ace said as he rubbed his temples, trying to get rid of his throbbing headache. Luffy pouted at him.

"No way!! I'm gonna become your friend no matter what!!" Luffy shouted as he watched Ace stand up and walk toward the door. He hurriedly followed.

"Wait for me!!!"

"No!! Go away!!"

Ace started running as soon as he got outside. He turned back to see the brat was nowhere in sight, which made him smirk.

"Whatcha smiling about?" Ace jumped as Luffy showed up behind him out of nowhere. Ace scowled at him.

"Stop following me, Damnit!!"

"No Way!!"

Ace can be seen at the top of a hill, with his knife about to cut a rope. He sees the brat come into view and immediately cuts the rope. He watches with satisfaction as he will finally get rid of this kid. Luffy just smirks at him and unsheathes his cutlass.

*SHINK* *SHINK* *SHINK*

The logs got sliced down the middle, falling on either side of Luffy, leaving Ace astounded. Luffy smiled at him as he sheathed his cutlass and ran, teleported from Ace's perspective, up to Ace, and stuck his hand out.

"Hi! I'm Monkey D. Luffy!! Let's be friends!!"

Ace and Luffy can be seen walking side by side in the wilderness, the former with a massive scowl and the latter with an equally massive smile.

"So where are you going, Ace? What's out here? Dadan said you come out here every day." Luffy asked getting more excited as he talked, which made Ace scowl harder.

"Shut up. I'm not going anywhere with you." Ace said which made Luffy pout.

"No can do, Ace. I'll follow you to the depths of hell till you become my friend!!" Luffy said which made Ace snort.

"Well, you'll be in hell forever then." He grumbled. He didn't say anything about Luffy walking beside him again. Luffy laughed as he asked again.

"But where are we going, Ace? You seem like you're going somewhere, not just walking." Ace looked at him with a raised eyebrow, not expecting him to be able to think that much, before shaking his head and answering.

"We're going to meet up with my friend Sabo. We have a treehouse that we keep our stuff in." Ace explained as he realized with how quick this guy was he wasn't getting rid of him. The answer made Luffy smile.

Luffy and Ace arrived at a treehouse. Luffy looked around with a curious gaze.

"Yo, Ace!"

Luffy heard someone call Ace and looked up at the person who was jumping down from the ladder. The guy was around Ace's age with short curly blond hair, a missing tooth, and A large black top hat with a pair of blue goggles wrapped around it.

'This must be Sabo. He seems like a pretty cool guy.' Luffy thought with a grin as Ace went up to him and gave him a high five.

"Yo, Sabo! How are you doing"? Ace asked as he saw Sabo look over at Luffy.

"I'm doing great, but who's this guy?" Sabo pointed at Luffy who grinned at him.

"Yo! I'm Monkey D. Luffy! Nice to meet you Sabo, let's be friends!" Luffy introduced himself before stretching out his hand. Sabo shook it with a smile.

"I'm Sabo, nice to meet you, Luffy." Sabo smiled and looked at Ace.

"Ace, I didn't know you had friends besides me. I didn't know you're able to make one, to be honest." Sabo teased. Ace looked at him with an angry face.

"What did you say?!"

"Nothing!"

"And besides, he's the one who kept asking to be my friend, and when I said no, he kept bothering me until I said yes. Oh, and he also punched the shit out of me." Ace grumbled which made Sabo burst out laughing.

"Hahaha!! That sounds just like you, Ace. Always-" As Sabo went to continue, they all heard a stick break and looked over to see about 10 pirates glaring daggers at Ace and Sabo.

"Finally found you little brats." The largest one said with a snarl, knuckles whitening on his hands. Ace and Sabo looked at him with resentment.

"Shit, Sabo we have to get out of here. Forget the treasures, we can't take on him and all his goons all at once." Ace said in a whisper to which Sabo nodded and started discreetly looking around trying to find an exit. The only problem, Luffy is now right in front of all the pirates.

"Hey! Stop messing with my friends!!" Luffy said with his fists clenched as he glared at the pirates. He didn't get it, but these guys are trying to hurt his new friends! No way he was just going to sit back and let it happen!

"Huh? Another brat? Alright, your fault for hanging out with these brats." The largest pirate said as he went to swing his sword at Luffy, only to freeze when the kid stretched his arm back about 10 meters.

"Gomu-Gomu no…"

Before he could process anything, the fist at the end of that stretched arm was right in front of his face faster than he could blink.

"PISTOL!!!"

*BAM!!!*

*BOOM!!*

"PORCHEMY!!!" The goons yelled out as they saw a kid no older than 10 punch their leader after somehow stretching his arm out and sending him through a tree. They all felt a shiver down their back when the kid turned to them, but before they could process it, two of them felt metal hit their jaw before everything went dark.

"I was wondering if you guys were just going to stand there and watch." Luffy said with a grin. Ace and Sabo grinned at him.

"No way I'm letting you have all the fun!!" Ace shouted as he smacked another one in the stomach, folding him like a lawn chair.

"Let us handle these guys, Luffy. They were after us, after all." Sabo said as he rammed his pipe into the forehead of one of the pirates, making him fall right on top of the one Ace was fighting, giving him an opening to knock him out.

Luffy watched as his friends teamed up on the last 5, easily overpowering their swords with their pipes despite being decades younger than their opponents. He started laughing when both smacked the last guy in the stomach, making him have to hold in his lunch, before getting knocked out to allow to the head.

"You damn brats…" Luffy turned to the trees to see Porchemy slowly hobbling over to him with a large frown on his face. Luffy smiled at him.

"Wow, you're still awake after that? You're not as weak as I thought!" Luffy said with a grin as he got ready to punch him again, only to see his opponent's eyes go white and fall straight on his face.

"Never mind. You are pretty weak." Luffy said with a frown, sad he didn't get to fight more. He looked over at his friends to see them panting, but not hurt, which made him smile again.

He walked over to them and they looked up at him and smiled. Then they looked over at the bandit they just knocked out with angry tint in they eyes.

"So, their base is in the Grey Terminal?" Luffy asked Ace and Sabo as they were climbing back up into their treehouse. A tied-up pirate with cuts all over his body was unconscious on the ground.

"Yeah, though I don't know when that Porchemy guy woke up and left?" Ace wondered as they all looked to where the pirate had previously fainted, now just a patch of blood on the grass.

"We have to move the treasures while we have the chance now. Who knows when they will send more guys." Sabo said, but both Ace and Luffy looked like they thought otherwise.

"Isn't that running away from them though?" Ace asked with a frown. As soon as Ace said that, Sabo knew they weren't going anywhere. Luffy nodded at that.

"Yeah, no way we are running away from those guys. Who knows when they will show up again, so in the meantime, I'm gonna help you guys get stronger." Luffy said which immediately attracted their attention. They had both seen how fast he was and Ace personally experienced how strong he was. It was obvious what the response would be.

"Lets get started!!" They yelled in unison with massive grins which made Luffy start laughing.

*2 Weeks Later*

*BAM*

Ace took a left foot that was going hard enough to knock a tree over to the face. He leaned into the hit and tried to counter with a right uppercut, only to feel like he just punched iron. He jumped back as he felt an attack aiming for the back of his head.

"Damn 'Iron Body'.." Ace mumbled as he looked at his opponents. Both he and Sabo were covered in welts. Luffy had a couple small bumps, but looked like he could fight a lot more. Both Ace and Sabo flopped onto the ground weakly, much to Luffy's amusement.

"Shishishi!! Nice guys!! It's only been 2 weeks and you already can use 'Shave' in a fight!!" Luffy said as he looked at his best friends unmoving forms with a smile.

They had all come a long way in these two weeks. Ace learned to use 'Shave' consistently within a week and Sabo followed along only a day later. Luffy became proficient in 'Iron Body' during this time when he wasn't training his friends. He also figured out how to combine 'Shave' and 'Moon-Walk' into a move called 'Razor'.

"Well, those idiots still haven't come yet and I'm bored of waiting! I'll go get us some meat and when you guys are ready, Lets go fight them!!" Luffy shouted in excitement, which made both of his friends break into tired grins.

"So, are we just gonna jump in and beat them up or what?" Ace asked as the three were looking at the base in the distance. Luffy had his pinkie in his nose.

"Yeah, we can kick their asses so might as well go do it." Luffy said as he flicked his booger at Sabo who punched him on the back of the head as a response.

"Sounds like a good idea to m-Zzzzz" Ace fell asleep mid-sentence, horrifying Luffy and making Sabo laugh.

"Don't worry Luffy, Ace has narcolepsy. He isn't dead, he's just asleep." Sabo explained making Luffy heave a sigh of relief.

*POP*

"Huh?" Ace woke up right after his snot bubble popped. Luffy and Sabo grinned at him and he grinned back.

"So what did I miss?"

A bandaged Porchemy can be seen on his knees, next to him, his still-injured subordinates, as they all look into the darkness of the hideout made out of garbage and rubble.

"A kid…" A voice started, making all of them cringe. The anger in the voice kept rising as he continued.

"You lost all our treasure to two kids, and when you went to get them back…" The light shined through the window, showing off Bluejam and his crooked crooked teeth in all his glory. The glare he was sending his subordinates was making them shake.

"Those brats aren't normal, Capt-"

*BAM!!!*

Porchemy tried to explain what happened to his captain, but before he realized what happened, he had a fist slamming into his face.

"Some weakling who loses to a kid can't call me their Captain." Bluejam said as he was staring at everyone with contempt.

"I have no use for someone who lets themselv-"

*BOOM!!!*

He was cut-off from what he was saying as he heard the door get smashed open. He turned towards the door and saw three kids no older than 10 years old after the dust settled. He scowled at them.

"Are you the brats who took my treasure? He asked, scowl growing as he saw all three grin at him.

"We're here to kick your ass, Bluebam!!!" Luffy shouted at him, which made Ace and Sabo facepalm. Bluejam growled and went to respond but he heard someone groan next to him and turned to look. He saw Porchemy sitting up with his hand on his head. Bluejam smirked at him.

"Oi, Porchemy!! Go kick those kid's asses" He yelled over as he saw him stand up. The man gave a scoff and a nod but before he could do anything else, Ace was right in front of him with his hand on his face.

"Stay out of the way." Ace said with a grin as the two disappeared. Bluejam's eyes went wide as Luffy and Sabo smirked at him. Sabo looked at his friend.

"Luffy, you deal with him. I'll make sure no one gets in the way." Sabo said getting his pipe out as the goons started surrounding them. Luffy smiled at him before ramming his foot into Bluejam's stomach before the man could process he had moved.

"Don't take too long, Luffy!" Luffy heard Sabo shout to him as he ran after the idiot he just kicked across the Grey Terminal. Luffy grinned as he had something to make this boring fight more interesting.

Ace landed about 300 meters away from where everyone else was after throwing Porchemy at the ground as hard as he could. He took pride in the fact the pirate took a few seconds to even sit up.

As he waited for him to recover, he remembered the weakness he felt when Porchemy and his goons came to try and take their treasure. That weakness he felt is something he never wants to go through again.

Porchemy finally got to his feet as he stared warily at the brat. Just a couple of weeks ago, the kid was just enough to make him careful. Now, this kid is somehow as fast as that freaky brat and strong enough to carry him hundreds of meters.

Ace smirks at him when he sees the wariness in his eyes. He slightly bends his knees, takes out his trusty metal pipe, and disappears.

Porchemy immediately panics seeing this and whipped his head left to right, which gave Ace the perfect opportunity to appear right in front of him and throw a faint. This got the pirate to try to hit him with a right hook, only hitting his afterimage.

Ace reappears behind Porchemy as he swings his pipe right at the back of his opponent's head. Porchemy saw the kid disappear like before, but before he could do anything…

*DING* *CRACK*

Ace hit the pirate in the back of the head so hard, he cracked his skull. Porchemy's eyes immediately went white and he smacked into the ground with the momentum of the pipe.

"Pfff! You're even weaker than those monkeys Luffy introduced us to." Ace scoffed at his unconscious opponent. He grabbed him by the collar and started dragging him back to where the fight started.

"I wonder if we can get Grandpa to take these guys to get their bounties and give them to us?" Ace mumbled as he dropped the idiot he was dragging because of tripping on a rock. He shrugged his shoulders, grabbed him by the leg, and kept walking back.

Bluejam was very confused. He watched as his subordinate got dragged away easily by a child. Then he felt, not saw because he saw nothing aside from when the first kid purposefully slowed down to say he was separating him from everyone else, what could only be something like 100 sledgehammers slammed and not a kid's foot into his stomach.

He felt his world spin for a few minutes and when he could finally see again, he noticed he was on the complete opposite side of the Grey terminal. He could also see the kid who must've been the one to hit him strolling over.

The joy-filled grin that most would say is endearing or even cute, looked like the smile of a devil coming to claim his soul.

"W-Wait!! I c-can give you m-money!! Y-Yeah I can give you money! How about it? I know where the royals keep their treasure, we can split it!" Bluejam gained more and more confidence as he went on, not noticing how the little devil never slowed his steps or didn't unclench his fists.

Luffy didn't talk any nonsense, he unsheathed his cutlass and appeared right behind Bluejam.

The pirate panicked when he saw this and hastily threw up his sword to defend against it. This made Luffy grin.

Ever since he had finished his training, Luffy had felt an odd 'Buzzing' or 'Ringing' sensation. He couldn't figure out where it was coming from, but now that he was in a real fight he realized it.

The 'Buzzing' was coming from 'Ace'. It was coming from his cutlass.

And that wasn't the only place he could hear the buzzing.

"I can hear it! The rhythm of your blade!" Luffy shouted with a grin as he slashed straight through Bluejam's sword, terrifying the pirate. The blade continued until it reached its mark, leaving a deep slash mark on Bluejam's chest.

The wounded pirate jumped back and held his bleeding chest with his left hand and his useless sword in his right. Luffy grinned at him when he saw the look of horror in his eyes.

Luffy sheathed his cutlass and held it in both hands and he crouched down.

"Divine One-Sword Style…" Bluejam tried to run away but it was far too late.

"Divine Flying Dragon!!"

Luffy sent out a red flying slash in the shape of a dragon right at Bluejam. Before Bluejam could even think about dodging, he felt his chest get torn open again before everything went black.

Luffy watched as his opponent fell face-first onto the ground with a smile. He sheathed his cutlass while looking back towards where Sabo was. He started walking there, only to stop when he saw Ace dragging Porchemy back towards Sabo.

He shrugged before grabbing Bluejam's hair on the back of his head and dragged him back towards where Sabo was, who seemed to be done fighting.
