Training to cause Genocide

It's been 3 months since Flare came to the one piece world and he was training like a madman. He immediately bought shadow clones from the system along with chakra. He wanted to use it to grind experience and learn stuff even faster and he was doing just that.

Flare: "Let me see my stats."

Flare: "Good, now it's time to go hunting. There was a pack of flying wolves in the mountains that chased me down for an entire week and they were roughly the same strength as the lion. I fought them off but there were 12 of them so I had to run... payback is a bitch!"

Roughly 4 days after coming to the island he went into the mountains looking for a place to train properly but instead ran into a pack of flying mountain wolves. They were slightly weaker than the lion but due to their amount flare decided to retreat..... but the damn wolves chased him down for an entire week with only 2 hours to rest daily.

Flare unfolded his giant 12 foot black wings as he shot into the air. Due to getting a race upgrade he could now hide his wings using magic and unfold them whenever he wanted. As he was flying he saw multiple black dots flying towards him. When they got closer flare could see that it was the flying wolves but there was more than last time. There was about 50 fully grown wolves along with a gigantic wolf leading them.

Leader: "You human, you dare come into my territory! I will strip the meat from your bones! KILL HIM!"

Flare: "Huh? I can actually understand youuuUU!"

Flare had to dodge as 2 wolves attacked him. He equipped Excalibur and swung it horizontally, bisecting the 2 wolves that tried to kill him. The other wolves were swift to act as he suddenly felt a presence behind him. He turned around to see a wolf flying towards him as it crashed into his back sending them into the ground, creating a crater. The wolf had used it's own to body to body slam flare into the ground.

As the dust cleared, the wolf leader along with the wolves saw flare standing in the crater without a scratch of him while the wolf that had hit him was crushed into a bloody paste. Flare now had a body that only haki infused attacks could damage so this attack wouldn't even scratch him. He flew into the air as flames from his back started wrapping around his body and even his sword. The leader felt danger as he immediately disappeared from where he previously was as flare cut towards the area.

Flare: "Gamma ray cut."

Suddenly the air around became boiling hot as orange flames engulf his sword as he slashes towards the wolves. Before they can even think they all felt a massive force wash over their bodies as their flesh slowly became ashes. The slash cut through all of the wolves and burnt their remains to ashes before their bodies even fell to the floor.

Leader: "T-This bastard! I took him easy... I'll just do it myself then."

Soon the large wolf began to shrink as it became more humanoid in appearance. He now had wild black hair on his head will blood red eyes. He looked like a hybrid between a human and a wolf but Flare felt like it's power was greatly increased.

Flare: 'Minks?.....or devil fruit? Check it's stats.'

Flare: 'Huh? a wolf that ate a devil fruit? What type of zoan is it?'

Flare: 'Well that's unexpected, and it's pretty strong too. It's two ranks stronger than me cause I'm currently captain level but it's rear admiral level.... meaning that I'm gonna have to be careful especially since it can use haki.'

The wolf man rushed toward flare at incredible speed, it was so fast that flare barely had time to block the haki infused attack that landed in his chest. He coughed blood as his body went flying into a tree. His eyes widened as he jumped back to avoid being stepped on by the incoming wolf man.

Flare: 'Oh shit he's strong, I feel like I want to cough up my lungs. I can't hold back against him, time to go all out.'

Flare was extremely durable due to his bloodline and his perk but this wolf could actually inflict damage to him. He didn't even expect a wolf to have haki and an ancient zoan. Flare shot forward towards the wolf and he imbued busoshoku haki into his Excalibur along with the hassoken. The wolf also swung his claw imbued with haki as the two clashed.

The 2 fought for over 3 hours before flare was finally able to cut it's throat, killing it. After killing it flare fell to the ground in exhaustion as he was fighting for nearly 3 and a half hours at full power. He was drained so he just found a tree to sleep under until he regained a little stamina.

When he woke up he found out that 2 hours had passed. All his injures had healed and his stamina was half full. He looked at his status and smiled.

Flare: "I knew I sensed something different about my haki, looks I awakened observation haki during the fight. Well it makes sense since I had to be dodging every single second. Also my system seems to auto extract a near by devil fruit once the user dies.... so I will automatically get the tremor-tremor fruit when Whitebeard dies."

Flare decided that this fight was a reminder to him that he is still weak and needs to get stronger faster. Usually he only used 2 or 3 shadow clones due to the mental backlash but he decided to buy a skill which negates the effect, making him able to use hundreds of clones to practice.

Flare immediately tested out this skill has he made 200 shadow clones. He felt as if he could now handle the memories from all of them so he sent them to train. He sent 50 to practice Observation haki, 50 to practice Armament Haki, 50 to practice swordsmanship while the remaining 50 practiced the hassoken. He would now eat his first devil fruit which was the bird-bird fruit: model sun phoenix. He took the fruit from his inventory as he took a single bite while he dropped the rest on the ground.

Flare: "Ughhh! This really taste like shit, I don't think I can ever un-taste this."

Flare felt his entire surrounding heat up to the maximum as even the rocks started to become lava, he could see his body on fire yet he felt like he was being getting a massage; it was a really relaxing feeling.

Flare: "Mythical zoan usually give a boost to the user but this one takes the cake, I wonder just how much does Kaido's devil fruit boost his stats. This boosted me straight from commodore straight to rear admiral. Is the beast form better than the hybrid form?"

[The Beast form is physically stronger than the hybrid form, however the hybrid form is better for combat. Hybrid form is currently unavailable due to low mastery of fruit but beast form has been unlocked]

Flare: "Well let me test it out."

Flare jumped into the air as his body expanded into a blazing inferno of golden orange flames. There was also blue flames that replaced his normal flames on his back but it went right down his spine and even beyond to form a blue fiery tail. He saw his arms morph into golden orange wings made of fire as his body became larger than before. He was 7 ft before but he wa now a 15 ft tall phoenix with golden fire covering his body along with blue flames on his back.

Flare: "These blue flames are different.....Did my devil fruit make my natural fire powers stronger, maybe this is similar to king when he used his devil fruit. He has flames on his back while in his zoan form so maybe since I had a fire fruit it somehow made my fire even stronger."

He flew over the water to look at his appearance and he wasn't disappointed. He saw a giant bird made of flames in the reflection. He was way bigger than marco's phoenix form but smaller than Whitebeard and sengoku's budda form. He flew into the air as he flew into the mountains, he couldn't before due to the wolves but they were dead now. When he arrived at the top of the mountain he noticed there was a massive cave with bone lying every where.

Flare: "Is this where the wolves lived? smells like hell but I wonder if there's anything interesting in there."

Flare walked inside the to see a bunch of dead animals along with decaying corpses and bones. He was a bit disappointed because he expected there to see some sort of treasure due to the wolf leader having the ability to talk... or maybe that was just a perk of this devil fruit and he had the brain of an average wolf. Just as he was about to exit the cave he saw a box with a small lock on it. It was buried beneath some bones so he moved the bones and broke the lock.

Flare: "What do we have here? maybe that wolf did have some sense afterall. Let's see what he had hiding."

He opened the box to see a devil fruit, it was crimson red and it looked like scales. He told Astaroth to scan which devil fruit was in the box and he was surprised.

[Fish Fish fruit- Model Crimson Dragon]

Flare: "Isn't this Kaido's devil fruit....or maybe something similar to it?"

[Fish Fish fruit- Model Crimson Dragon- This gives the user the ability to transform into a crimson dragon or crimson dragon hybrid at will. This fruit enhances the user's natural strength, speed, agility, defense to the point that only advanced armament haki and advanced conqueror's can damage the user. The user also has control over wind, lightning and fire.

This also one of the only devil fruits that are naturally immune to the sea itself. Being submerged in water will not affect the user and only seastone can be considered a true weakness.]

Flare: "So this is basically a red version of kaido's devil fruit, well ain't that nice. Probably not gonna eat it for now cause I want to train my current devil fruit before eating another one. Well this was a good find, I wonder why none of them ate it?"

Flare left the cave as the flew back to the coast where he had set up base. There was a small cave near a waterfall where he used as a house. He walked inside and sat on the bed as he felt a little sleepy. Fighting the wolf leader was exhausting but making the 200 shadow clones was even more tiring.

Flare: "I never thought I would be so tired, not gonna like but I kinda got my ass kicked by a wolf... well at least I won in the end."

He was gonna see if he could learn an advanced version of haki before he leaves because haki itself was rare especially in the blues but it was essential for living in the grandline. Advanced haki was almost non existent due to the small amount of people that possess it due to it being obtained through either extreme battles and training. Maybe he would try to master busoshoku haki first due to it being the simplest out of all the others.
