New forms? plus Ryou
It's been 8 months since his fight and his rate of training had only increased. Everyday he would make 200 shadow clones and have them train all day then dispel at night. He did this to the point where he started to get mental fatigue. He didn't receive the backslash from so much clones but he still had to bear the fatigue but his body eventually adapted to it.
Currently Flare was blindfolded as 3 clones were swinging at him with haki infused bamboo sticks. He was dodging it all effortlessly as he jumped back. The clones all rushed after him but he blocked and dodged all of their attacks without turning his head in their direction.
Flare: "Side of the head."
Flare tilted his head to the side as a pitch black bamboo stick swung past his face, just barely missing him.
Flare: "Back of my foot."
Flare jumped to avoid a leg swipe as another clone rushed him but he infused haki with his fist as he punched the 1st clone making it dispel. The 2nd and 3rd lone immediately started swinging the sticks at flare but he kept on blocking them until he jumped towards the colnes as he sends a fire attack towards both of them causing them to burst in smoke.
Flare is seen in the middle of a field as he slowly took off the blindfold while smiling. He had been training hard for months and he was beginning to see some results. His body was an average look before but now he had developed muscles all over his body.
Flare: "I'm finally seeing some results, my observation haki is way better than before. I can't see in the future yet but I'm close. Astaroth let me see my status."

Flare: "I'm Vice Admiral level... well I'm vice admiral level but I can fight any of the admirals in a 1 vs 1. I'm pretty sure that this is where the weaker yonko commanders are generally classed. They can usually clash with an admiral but they will lose if the fight drags on too much. Marineford starts in a month from now so I have a little more time til it happens."
Flare was working on trying to develop different forms, similar to Luffy's gear 2nd form. He was trying to use his flames as a replacement..... it wasn't going so good but it wasn't all bad. He just wanted to have a technique as a backup plan just in case. He went on one knee as red crimson flames started forming around him similar to armor. His leg gained bird like talons while his arm remained the same but it was covered red flames. The only part of his body where these flames didn't cover was his head.
Flare: "Heat level 1: Red death."
This form was made my Flare by accident. He wanted to make his flames cooler but this made them lose their golden color and get a red hue. While the red flames were weaker than his golden flames it was far easier to shape into attacks. The form gave him a minor boost in strength and a major boost in speed and defense.
Flare: "This form drains stamina too quick, maybe it's insufficient or I have to increase my mastery. I have to test this some more before I use it in battle, let me test the second mode before I practice my ryou."
Flare: "Heat level 2: Golden carnage."
Suddenly the red armor slowly shifted into golden flames as the armor became thicker around his hands and legs but thinner around waist and shoulders. This form increases strength and speed drastically but lower defense compared to Heat level 1: Red death. He became so hot that the rocks around him started to melt into lava and trees were burnt into ashes. Suddenly the form dispersed as flare fell to his knees panting.
Flare: "This form is hard to hold, I have to train to use them more efficiently like what luffy did with both gear 2nd and 3rd. Well let's get started on ryou, I remember the old man telling luffy about ryuo. I'm already advanced in busoshoku haki so I should be able to get it. Hmmm just flow my unused haki...let's try!"
Flare had bought a giant thick wall of iron from Astaroth that only ryou could damage. Flare stood in front of the wall as both his hands were covered in haki as he began to punch the wall.

Flare punched the iron wall with his full strength infused with armament haki but it didn't even dent the wall so he continued punching the wall. The continued punching the wall for 3 hours until he noticed something different about his haki. He felt as if his haki was like a river and it was rushing into his finger tips but he could feel himself unconsciously restraining the haki from flowing. He closed his eyes as he released a deep breath as he punched the wall with this new found power.
BOOM!
This time there was a different result. Instead of no reaction like before, there was a small dent in the iron wall, showing that he actually did damage to the wall this time. He smirked as he continued to rain attack down on the wall. This time the wall was getting damaged as flare could feel himself getting better with every punch but he also felt that he couldn't bring out it's full potential as only in battles can you truly understand haki.
Flare: "So this is ryou....this feeling is addicting. No wonder the strong people in this world are usually so battle crazy. I never understood why train and fight people stronger than themselves but now I get it. Let me make a shadow clone and continue practicing, let's see how far I can push myself in one month."
(3rd POV)
Flare fought his shadow clones for days at a time without sleeping or eating, he even had an all out fight against 2 of the clones which lasted 2 days straight. He accidentally ended up destroying half of the island by accident. It happened when he and one of his clones clashed using ryou and the collision ended up sinking the area where they were fighting. He didn't expect ryou to the that strong but he was still happy regardless.
Half way during the month and he had gotten the hang of ryou and was quite proficient at it. He wasn't an expert at it yet but he could definitely do massive damage. He had trained what he wanted so he decided to use the remaining time to train his swordsmanship. He trained this the least but it definitely wasn't weak at he received the skill at semi master level. He was currently master level but Mihawk was peak Grandmaster level which was absurd to think about as a grandmaster level was almost impossible to achieve as the only other person who reached this level was Ryuma, the sword god that lived in wano hundreds of years ago.
He was learning how to use Ace better as he could now imbue ryou into it, making it attack potency way more than usual. Surprisingly Excalibur's strength was absolutely insane when he imbued ryou into it as it could easily destroy a mountain, If he managed to make it become a permanent black blade then it would be even above the 13 supreme grade swords. As usual he had many clones practicing haki but he made a bit more to help him speed up training a bit.
[Host, Portugas D. Ace has been captured by the blackbeard and is currently on his way to impel down.]
Flare: "So it's starting now, well I gotta hurry up cause if ace dies then all this training to save him was pointless. I feel like Oda killed ace just for shits and giggles, he had so much potential yet oda sent him 6ft deep.....sigh well I guess it helped luffy realize that the world isn't all colorful and inspired him to get stronger."
Flare: "Astaroth spin the random devil token that I got for defeating the leader of the wolves."

Flare: "I mean it's strong if you think about it.....it was just eaten by a retard who used his own mucus as bullets. It might be good but I already have explosive power, I'd prefer a support based fruit like the door-door fruit or even the float-float fruit. Maybe when I form my crew I can give this to one of them."
Flare: "I should probably get ready to head off. I think I will head off in 2 days. Ace should be held in impel down for at least 4 days then transferred to marineford and it should take roughly a day arrive in marineford. Maybe I can recruit some of Whitebeard's crew? Or maybe they're too loyal to their captain to join another pirate crew..... When I get there my first objective is to save Ace, then probably kill Akainu next, I'll think about recruiting afterwards."
Orion could fly but where was the fun in that, he wasn't late so there was no need to rush it. He went to the shore and bought a boat. It was a modern ship with two power engines at the back. It had 6 bedrooms which had their own bathroom. There was a kitchen and bar which was equiped with food and alcohol.... lots of alcohol. There was a training room as well but it was located at the bottom of the ship. The ship was massive in size and was made out of metal and adam's wood which made is extra durable.
Flare went on the as he looked around, he decided to pick the largest room and claim it for himself. He bought some clothes and some other personal items and properly furnished his room. He also put a sign on his door that said the word 'Captain Flare' just to make sure that any future crew mates wouldn't try anything funny.
Flare: "Ok this is alright, I should probably do a final lava bath before I leave the island."
Lava bath was term he used whenever he flew into the volcano on the island. He did this to increase his heat resistance and also help him develop new attacks. He anchored the ship then flew into the air and started flying towards the volcano. He started catching on fire as his body grew larger and his legs became claws while his hands became giant wings. He flew towards the volcano in his beast form as he was training to get his hybrid-form which took training.
As he submerged in the lava, the surrounding lava began to boil as his body started to heat even the lava. He continued going deeper into the lava until the pressure started to affect his body but he didn't stop going down. As he arrived close to the mantle of the earth he felt that he couldn't go deeper right now as his body wasn't strong enough to endure the intense pressure. He felt that only his regeneration, insane durability and racial abilities were keeping him alive currently so he didn't go deeper but he stayed where he was and closed his eyes. He would be mediating in this spot for the next 2 days until he was ready to leave the island.
Flare: "Let me see my stats right now."
