JEALOUSY

Dennis felt glad after hearing Valeria's explanation and he was happy for her, the post he refused to like or comment on before, he went back to it and did the necessary. He checked the comments on the post, he was smiling and frowning at some and didn't notice Shelby's presence.

"Why are you smiling?" Shelby asked sitting next to him

"The comment section is so sweet" Dennis replied still not giving her attention

"Let me see" Shelby said looking at his phone

"Wow! EmJay has a new model?!" Shelby asked with surprise

"Yes and she's very beautiful" Dennis replied still not looking at her.

"Really? More beautiful than I am?" Shelby asked feeling jealous

"She's the most beautiful girl I've ever seen" Dennis replied now looking at Shelby

"Let me see her" Shelby said collecting the phone from him, she left the comment section to check the picture and was surprised to see who it was.

"Is she a model?" Shelby asked herself and Dennis collect his phone back not replying her. She stood up and walk away from the place, she walked as fast as her leg could take her while Dennis watch her. He doesn't understand her, she's too complicated.

Shelby slammed the door of her room angrily, her friends look at her not understanding her reason for acting that way.

"Are you fine Shelby?" Tonia asked walking up to her

"How dare her?" Shelby asked angrily

"Who is it this time?" Tiana asked removing the duvet she was using to cover her face

"That girl stole my spot! That was supposed to be me and not her" Shelby said with more rage

"No one will understand your foolish parable" Tiana said getting angry

"Can you be more gentle?" Kiara asked walking up to the angry Shelby

"Tell us what happened so we can know how to react" Claire said caressing Shelby's hair

"Check EmJay's instagram account" Shelby said breathing heavily with anger. The girls bring out their phone to check the page.

"A new model? So how does this concerns us? Or you?" Tiana asked not understanding why she's getting angry

"That's Dennis' best friend Valeria" Shelby replied fuming

"So?" Tiana asked still not understanding why she's this angry

"Can you be a little bit nicer?" Kiara asked not liking Tiana's behavior

"Let's hear it Shelby, what's wrong?" Jennifer asked from her bed

"I applied to the model opening of EmJay, I'm yet to get in and now they've announced that girl as their model and only one person wins. She took my spot" Shelby explained bitterly

"Is it the modelling job, the girl or the fact that she's your dream best friend?" Tiana asked now understanding what's happening

"Everything Christiana! He even said she's the most beautiful girl he has ever seen, what about me?" Shelby said angrily

"He doesn't see you Michelle! Wake up and stop dreaming" Tiana shouted angrily. The other girls walk away knowing they are not suppose to say a word when this two are arguing.

"He sees me Christiana" Shelby shouted back

"Then why are you so insecure?" Tiana asked

"He loves the girl" Shelby said before realizing it

"Can you see she's stupid? He loves her and you are here dying for him" Tiana said facing the other girls in the room.

"He will eventually love me because they are best friends" Shelby said calmly but with visible anger

"Wake up Michelle Cory! Wake up and stop dreaming! No opposite gender can be best friends without having feelings for each other! They are both in love and you are the third wheel here" Tiana said calmly trying to reason with her.

"Enough Christiana. I've heard enough! I will date Dennis and rub it in your face" Shelby said and walked out of the room angrily.

"You all better talk to her and say the truth" Tiana said pointing to the girls and walk back to her bed. The girls look at each other and shrug, once again they are both right.

Valeria was eating the food she made when her phone beeped, she knew who it was.

"Hi Daisy" She greeted sweetly

"Don't hi me you snitch" Daisy said harshly and Valeria smile knowing what it was about

"What did I do Daisy?" Valeria asked playing innocent

"How did you become a model in short period? How?" Daisy asked and Valeria told her the same story she told Dennis

"Wow! She's such a nice person" Daisy said not believing someone can do that.

"How's Aunt Zarah?" Valeria asked

"She's fine and we will be opening the business tomorrow" Daisy replied excitedly

"I really wish to be there" Valeria said wishing she was there

"Enjoy Chicago girl! How's school preparation going?" Daisy asked

"Going well and we are resuming in two weeks" Valeria replied

"That's great! Can't wait to wish you on your first day" Daisy said excitedly

"I can't wait to have a first day" Valeria replied excitedly

"I'm happy for you Valeria" Daisy said

"Thank you Daisy. How's Alexis?" Valeria said

"I shouldn't be telling you this but she wants to unfriend us" Daisy replied with sadness.

"Why? Is she still angry I didn't tell her we've settled?" Valeria asked not understanding why the anger was necessary

"She said she's the third wheel and she's done being that" Daisy replied

"Third wheel? How?" Valeria asked still not understanding the situation

"She has nothing in particular to say, she only asked how I would feel if I was treated the way she was treated which I don't understand" Daisy replied

"I don't understand this issue and I really want to understand" Valeria said with confusion

"Alexis is jealous" Daisy said

"Jealous of who? Me? What do I have to be jealous of?" Valeria asked with confusion

"You are smart, intelligent, scholarship girl, beautiful and also a model" Daisy replied

"All this doesn't make me a good person or a great person. There's nothing to be jealous of" Valeria said

"That's why she's jealous though" Daisy replied not wanting to argue with her

"I can't believe Alexis felt that way" Valeria said feeling sad

"You have to because she felt that way and is still feeling that way" Daisy said accepting reality that Alexis is no longer their friend

"I will still like to talk to her" Valeria said adding Alexis to the call

"I'm the third wheel again" Alexis said immediately she picked up and realized Daisy and Valeria have been on call for a while

"What do you mean by third wheel?" Valeria asked surprised she said it to her ears.

"You and Daisy have been on call for how many minutes and see when you just called me. You have Dennis as your best friend and you are Daisy's best friend, none of you wants me" Alexis said sadly making Valeria's heart break with confusion

"I'm not Daisy's best friend and you are my best friend too" Valeria replied sadly

"Alexis, if this is about the post I made about having a best friend then you are getting it wrong" Daisy said now leaving Valeria in confusion

"So it's another person outside of the friendship group and not even Valeria" Alexis replied with more sadness in her voice

"I was talking about my mom" Daisy replied with hint of anger and frustration in her voice

"Liar! The mother you hate with passion" Alexis shouted angrily with tears. Valeria was only listening to them not getting what's happening.

"Exactly! If there's anyone who's supposed to be called a third wheel then it's Valeria" Daisy said angrily

"You know about my mom, she doesn't. I tell you things I don't want to tell her, she didn't even know you failed a class and didn't graduate. Valeria is the one that's suppose to be calling herself a third wheel not you that have been let-in in all the secrets and juicy gist" Daisy added angrily leaving Valeria speechless.

"Wow! This is so much to process" Valeria said feeling bad, she might have not tell them about Dennis but she tells them every little thing and secrets.

"You've let the cat out of the bag, what else?" Alexis said angrily and Valeria doesn't get her reason for being angry

"Stop playing the victim, you are much as a villain as I am" Daisy said angrily not liking the card Alexis is pulling

"First of all, Alexis there's nothing like third wheel anywhere, in a group of friendship, we all have our favorites but then you two are my favorites just that I relate more with Daisy than I do with you, you are a very nice person but very difficult to deal with and I can see that Daisy does a good job doing that so it's understandable if you tell her personal things and if she does the same. I love you two the same way and that's why I tell you two everything and anything" Valeria said handling it maturely. She knows screaming and getting angry won't solve the issue.

"I'm sorry Valeria, you two didn't tell me you've solved your issues and it made me angry" Alexis said feeling bad

"I wanted to tell you but didn't have a story to cover up Aunt Zarah's part, I didn't want to be the one to tell you about her if Daisy doesn't" Valeria said and the other two felt bad knowing she has each of their best interest in mind.

"I'm sorry too Valeria and I'm sorry Alexis" Daisy said feeling bad for being a bad friend to her and Alexis

"It's fine, we are all just scared to lose our loved ones" Valeria said smiling. The girls continue to talk, they talked about how Valeria helped Zarah, her new roommates, the model and the party.
