ANOTHER DAY

Dennis felt bad for not seeing Valeria off, he walk into his dorm banging the door angrily.

"Where the hell is Felix?" He shouted angrily and the other guys in the room looked at him with surprise.

"What happen?" Eric, Dennis' favourite roommate asked

"Was it Valeria he played his silly game with?" Joshua asked walking up to Dennis

"How dare that pervert?" Dennis shouted angrily.

"Calm your nerves Dennis" Eric said not believing Felix did that to Valeria

"How can he be calm? That boy needs to be thought a lesson" Joshua said and Felix entered the room.

"What did I do wrong? The girl hit me when I was trying to help" Felix said walking towards them. Dennis couldn't hold down his anger and punched Felix which turned to a fist fight between them. The other two tried to hold them down but to no avail.

"Let them punch each other" Eric said locking the door so others won't come in and make it known to the dorm master that a fight was happening. Dennis and Felix stopped punching each other while breathing heavily.

"Is she really your best friend?" Felix asked angrily

"Her relationship with me is none of your business. Why did you do that to her? Didn't you read the room that she was uncomfortable with what you were doing? Not every girl will fall for that thick jaw of yours! Valeria is not every girl" Dennis replied angrily

"Fine at first I was all flirty but I really wanted to help her" Felix said now calming down

"She doesn't need your help Felix. Let Valeria be" Dennis said still furious

"I will apologize to her next time" Felix said and leave for the bathroom.

"The matured conversation you should have had from the beginning" Eric said walking back to his bed

"You might need first aid" Joshua said and Dennis storm out angrily.

Dennis went to the school field to cool his temper, football is the only way he can lessen his anger. He played against himself for a while before trying to call Valeria who picked almost immediately like she had been waiting for his call.

"I'm so sorry for what happened Valeria" Dennis said sadly

"It's fine Dennis. So did you sort your issue with Shelby?" Valeria said not beating around the bush

"Shelby?" Dennis asked surprisingly

"I know you did not see me off because you wanted to talk to her" Valeria said sadly, her parents were asleep.

"I'm sorry Valeria, she was being creepy" Dennis said sadly

"I understand. So how did it go?" Valeria asked still sad

"She's sorry" Dennis replied

"There must be a reason why she was all over you, stalking you and trying to get your attention" Valeria said more as a question than a sentence

"Shelby is like that sometimes" Dennis said not knowing what to say

"Goodnight Dennis" Valeria said hoping he was going to say the truth. Dennis was sad but knows he deserved it.

The next day, Valeria woke up early to make breakfast for her parents.

"Good morning Valeria" Geraldine greeted yawning

"Good morning mother" Valeria greeted with a smile

"You are up so early. Any plans for the day?" Geraldine said pouring water for herself

"Nothing for now! Maybe later" Valeria replied smiling

"Let's go to the factory together. Pick some new trendy clothes for my customers and you" Geraldine said with a smile

"I will love to do that" Valeria replied happily

"We leave after breakfast" Geraldine said and leave the kitchen.

Valeria pick up her phone after her mother left and send a text to Esmeralda

[Good morning Miss Raldy(･´з`･) I'm really grateful for last night]

She felt so great and special sitting with the career lady, she continue cooking and serve breakfast. The family ate breakfast and left for their workplace

Valeria and her mother were still selecting clothes for sales and some for her when her phone rang, without looking at it she knows who it was.

"Excuse me mother" Valeria said and walk a little bit far away from her mother

"Good morning Dennis" Valeria greeted after picking up the call

"How are you doing Ria?" Dennis asked

"I'm good and you?" Valeria asked back

"Good. Are you available for lunch? I have another friendly match with another division of the school team maybe you want to watch? And have lunch later" Dennis said hoping she won't reject

"And have to see someone creeping around, stalking me then another flirting with me, harassing me and playing victim card. No thank you Dennis" Valeria replied trying to be calm

"I know I was wrong and I'm truly sorry" Dennis said apologetically

"Sorry? You can't be sorry Dennis" Valeria replied angrily

"I need answers Dennis. Why was she stalking you? She was being creepy and you said that is how she is. No one is like that Dennis, she wanted to know if I was only your best friend or a girlfriend too. I need answers" Valeria said angrily

"You won't believe when I say Shelby is like that and I'm truly sorry if she scared you" Dennis replied

"Seems you are not ready to tell me about it, have a nice day Dennis!" Valeria said and end the call. She breath in and out heavily to relax her mind, her mind flashed back to what Esmeralda told her the night before, she hopes and pray it's not true that something is between those two. She walked back to her mother after making sure she doesn't look angry.

"Who was it?" Geraldine asked

"Dennis, he heard what happened yesterday. A big news in school" Valeria replied

"Don't worry it will die down soon" Geraldine said with a smile. They continue picking the clothes.

Dennis on the other side didn't feel good after his conversation with Valeria, he became too scared and needed someone to talk to.

"Spill it" Eric said sitting next to him

"Gosh man! I feel so terrible" Dennis said holding his hair

"What's wrong man?" Eric asked

"I don't know if I should be saying this to you but you are my favorite why not" Dennis said looking around to make sure no one was around

"I have a girlfriend" Dennis said still looking around

"Wow! That's some great news, who's the girl?" Eric said happily

"It's Valeria" Dennis said still looking around

"Did you just ask her out?" Eric asked softly

"We've been dating for a while now but we are in private or should I say secret relationship" Dennis said as low as he could

"Wow! Your anger last night was called for" Eric said recalling last night fight.

"I need help...." Dennis said and the door cut him off

"Hey man" Joshua greeted

"What's up?" The boys greeted

"Did I interrupt something?" Joshua asked feeling like they were at the middle of something

"No, Dennis was just telling me...." Eric said

"....about the friendly match today" Dennis cut him off

"You better kick their ass and make them beg for mercy" Joshua said even if he found it weird.

"I will! I will leave now" Dennis said and left the room

"Weird" Joshua said looking at Eric who shake his head.

Two hours later, Valeria and her mother were done buying clothes and were back home preparing dinner when Valeria's phone rang.

"Hello?" Valeria said after picking up the call

"Hi Valeria, It's Hannah" Hannah greeted from the other side

"How are you dear?" Valeria asked smiling

"I'm good and you?" Hannah replied happily

"Great. So what's up?" Valeria asked

"My parents will be having a farewell and wedding anniversary party, so this is me personally inviting you as my favorite roommate to be" Hannah said happily

"Oh that's nice. I will love to be there" Valeria replied smiling

"Tomorrow night darling and the dress code is style your wardrobe" Hannah said excitedly

"Weird dress code but sure. Let me ask for permission" Valeria said looking at her mother who smile at her

"I will let you know if I would be coming" Valeria said

"You better be there, I have a whole table and food for my roomies" Hannah said excitedly

"No problem Hannah" Valeria said and end the call.

"Who was that?" Geraldine asked with a smile

"We didn't get to talk about my roommates yesterday, she's my roommate, the talkative from the train" Valeria said

"Oh really? That's like amazing" Geraldine said happily

"Was surprised to see her and now she's inviting me to her farewell party and parents anniversary tomorrow night" Valeria said

"You should go. Have fun and move away from yesterday stress" Geraldine said smiling

"Won't you have to tell Dad first?" Valeria asked knowing her parents can't make a decision without consulting each other

"He will want you to go too but I will still tell him" Geraldine said weirdly

"Okay no problem. I will wait for his decision before he thinks you are trying to take his duty as breadwinner of the family" Valeria said and they laugh. The mother and daughter duo continue to make dinner while having fun.
