Paulin comes to the rescue

Even though Cain acted like he would kill anyone he encountered, he was really not the type to massacre when there were some worthy youngsters who were willing to become his followers.

"Becoming your followers? That's not gonna happen. Also, why do you think we will do that?"

Snowstorm scoffed at Cain when she heard his offer. She didn't even think for a moment before rejecting his offer because a summoner who lost his elemental spirits right in front of his eyes but still acted like it was nothing.

So, she knew that Cain just want some slaves who would do anything he asked for without questioning back. What's more, from the looks of it, he didn't care about the lives of his own elemental spirits, then how could she expect that he would care for the lives of the followers?

After considering all these things, Snowstorm directly rejected it with a mocking look on her face.
