After 15 minutes of washing his body in the knee-depth water haku got out and started practicing water walking without putting his clothes on.
And he was right about that decision! He fell in water twice after which it took him 1 hour to properly Water Walk.
'Time to hunt some tasty fish!' Haku imagined the smell of cooked fish as he put his clothes on.
Haku got himself a kunai and started catching fish. He silently walked over to the fish and threw the kunai through them successfully catching 3 fishes after a bit of trial and error.
Haku looked at the dead fishes lying over a clean rock and thought 'I can't eat them as it is… I need to clean the scales off, the guts and the gills it think!'
"Alright! Let's try this for the first time ever!"
Haku picked up a kunai and started descaling the fish in the river. Although he created quite a mess and even lost some flesh while cleaning the fish, the experience was worth it!
Haku then gathered some dry wood and sticks and lit it up using his lighter! A ninja should always be prepared!
He skewered the fishes and put them a sizable distance above the fire. He obviously didn't want his food to be brunt.
'Now then! What should I do while the food is cooking? I should train my body, calisthenics might be a good idea! I wonder if I should steal 8 inner gates techniques from Konoha later on?'
Haku's devious thoughts were interrupted when he saw a brown furry figure walking towards him.
He put his hand above his eyes and said "Is that a bear? Did it get attracted by the smell of cooking fish? What an excellent time for it to arrive! Fighting is surely a way to level up my taijutsu!"
Haku's current body was already as strong as an average adult's because of the passive chakra enhancement but by actively using chakra… he would have been physically unbeatable in his previous world.
ROARRRRR—
The bear roared loudly seeing the food behind Haku, it didn't even give a thought to Haku's small body!
"Heyyy! Bear! Fight me first!" Haku picked up a stone and threw it towards the bear, taking a fighting stance.
The bear, now angered, pounced recklessly towards Haku. Little did it know, Haku was now a ninja!
Haku dodged the bear's pounce and punched the bear in its back, after which the bear turned back and swung its arm towards Haku. Haku had already expected the attack as he stepped back and safely dodged the swing.
The bear sped up to be faster than a normal bear, which shocked Haku! This was a bear of the Naruto world!
It tried to tackle Haku but Haku jumped in the air and kicked the bear's back. The bear, visibly in pain, tried to stand up but before it could Haku had started elbowing its head and throat, killing it in the process.
"Well that was boring…" Haku looked severely disinterested. "Although the bear is strong, it lacks an essential thing most humans have. Proper technique. When two people with similar strength fight the one that will win is the one with the better technique."
Haku barely broke a sweat on that one. He realized that he needed to exercise instead of going on a monologue.
After doing some pushups, situps, and squats for a whole thirty minutes without resting Haku looked at his food! It had finally finished cooking!
But Haku disliked too hot food so he left it in a clean rock for 30 more minutes to cool down. He also trained for 30 more minutes.
Overall he trained for one hour that day.
He dragged His wobbly legs towards the fish and ate while savoring the bland and flavorless fish. He didn't like to eat flavorless stuff but food was food!
After finishing the food and resting for a while he looked at the sky. The dim sun was still at the top of the sky.
'I don't really want to sleep in the open sky during the night, I should practice the earth dome jutsu now.'
Haku tried weaving hand seals for the jutsu but quickly realized that, unlike water, wind, and ice release, using earth release was… harder. In other words, It wasn't like a second instinct to him!
He needed to practice earth release! Baki and Haku's minds never went to the issue while talking!
'If I remember correctly there was an earth-release jutsu called practice brick in the anime. Apparently, it is so easy that even people who don't have primary earth affinity can learn it in a matter of seconds… but that is with hand signs. And, I don't know it's hand signs.'
"I guess the only way to do it is to brute force."
Haku slammed his palms on the ground and seeped his chakra all over the ground, trying to raise a wall in front of him.
But he failed! He tried to do it again and failed again! Worse of all, His chakra was slowly but surely getting consumed.
He scrunched his face, "So this is why brute force creating a non-primary affinity jutsu is hard. Earth must be one of my worse affinity too!"
He tried again and again and again. Only after one hour did he manage to raise a small bump in the ground!
His eyes suddenly lit up!
"So that is how you perform it!" He once again tried to do it and this time! A three-foot wall rose in front of him.
"Hahahah!" Haku's laughter was truly jolly!
"So this is what talent is! I basically created a non-primary affinity jutsu in an hour. Although it is the lowest of low jutsu, it's still an exhibition of my talent."
"Well, no time to waste! I need to be able to erect a 5 feet wall in 2 hours at least. I wish I knew the handseals but practice is practice no matter how much extra chakra it consumes compared to the jutsu."
After three hours of practicing earth release, he finally did it! In front of him was a five-foot-tall wall made out of soil and stones from the ground!
'I have already exhausted half of my chakra and the Sun is probably going to go down in an hour or two. I need to practice on the Earth dome fast! I don't want to sleep among animals and insects!'
Haku weaved the hand seals he remembered. Thankfully he had a really good memory, although not photographic.
He slammed his hand on the ground, only to find his chakra consumed and a weird circular wall rising from the ground around him. Yes, a wall! Not a dome!
Haku sighed.
'I need to practice more.' Haku continued making his earth nature chakra move precisely and moulding it precisely too!
One hour later, he was sleeping, fainted from chakra exhaustion, inside a rough-looking dome.
Although it was rough, it was still a dome!
