Haku woke up groggily inside the dome! He pressed his eyelids to open them after a long night of sleep.
While checking his chakra he found out something surprising, 'My chakra levels increased? Although it's little, it definitely did!'
He crawled out of the dome, getting some dirt on his clothes in the process.
'That's weird. As far as I remember from the anime, chakra is a mixture of physical and spiritual energy in an equal ratio. I am quite old compared to this body so my spiritual part should be higher than physical. That is also the reason my chakra was increasing slightly every time I walked long distances before.'
Haku was quite confused. He was sure that exhausting and refilling chakra wasn't the way to increase the reserves even in the cannon. Then why did it increase?
Haku sat cross-legged— he was going to have a lot of things to do.
After a while, a theory popped into Haku's mind.
'I think it's not increasing the chakra reserves but "refreshing" it. Let's say after an exercise my chakra is supposed to increase by 5 units— A unit of measurement I made for the sake of thought experiment—, then it will increase slowly but gradually over time maybe throughout a day or two.'
His eyes lit up as he had another chain of thought. 'Now this is where using almost all of your chakra comes in. If you do that then your chakra reservers get "refreshed" and directly assimilate the 5 units of physical energy hence increasing the chakra reservers all at once, making it seem like a huge increase. The person also sleeps soundly after using almost all of their chakra, so that's a factor to make it seem like that too.'
Finally satisfied by his self-made theory, Haku stood up and washed his face. He then proceeded to ready his kunai for some fish hunting!
The fish were already on a skewer, after a while. Haku looked at them, his mouth slightly watering despite the food being totally unseasoned and bland.
Hunger could really do a number on a man!
'Enough staring a the fish now! I need to train my senses and then I will train water jutsus after eating fish. I don't want the water to end up on the fish after all.
He got the headband that a certain genin had donated to him.
'This should be good.'
He then took out the wire Baki gave him and tied two kunai together through one end as for the other end he hung it on a low branch of a tree.
Now the two kunai looked like two Bells hanging from a wire, Bells that would make you bleed.
He used the headband as a blindfold. But before doing that, He created four walls around the trees, completely sealing off the area from wild animals.
He then caught the string and swung it wildly all over the place. He made sure to carefully hear the sound of two kunai clicking together.
After a while, all four walls went down. Haku came out of it, there were a few small scratches in his hand. Although the kunai was at head level, he barely managed to hear their sounds before they cut his face. He blocked them with his hands.
Such an exercise with risks will surely make him more successful in practicing his hearing for the hidden mist jutsu!
Haku sighed looking at his hands.
'Time to eat some food! Then practicing jutsus!"

A small boy, probably 5 or 6 years old, could be seen jumping from one tree branch to another. He was covering a distance of a few feet per jump, something any normal adult would never be able to do.
This boy was Haku! It had been two months since he ran from the city. He had ignored all the villages along the way. He really didn't want to interact or do business with any civilians, until his home was at least stable.
Then again, a person like Haku would never stay in the same place, especially in a world like this. This world was too interesting!
Throughout the previous months, He had continuously trained his boy, ears, and his jutsus! It was to the point where he could perform hidden mist jutsu and wild water wave with just one hand and one sign!
'Alright! Probably just a few kilometers until I reach the shore and then it's a straight way to the island!'
He had already abandoned his previous plan of going to the port city and deporting from there. A city as big as that was bound to have ninjas! It might even have a Jonin if he was unlucky!
Although he liked interesting things, he wasn't ready to throw his life away just to fight a Jonin. At Least not a Jonin.
'I am really lucky I didn't encounter any ninjas along the way. Although that might be because of the civil war and lack of ninjas too!'
He looked up, the sun was gonna set in an hour or so.
'Alright after I reach the shore, I will sleep there for the night and head out tomorrow.'
When the sky was dyed red, he reached the shore. The reflection of the red sky and the sun on the ocean sure looked beautiful.
Haku always liked nature even in the previous world. So, this was a sight to behold for him. A truly beautiful sight!
'I won't train for today. Tomorrow, I need to run on water for the whole day. Although I probably won't encounter any danger, I should still be careful.'
He hunted some good old fish and cooked them on fire. He stared at the fish and started stargazing.
'A sky without light pollution huh.'
He could see many constellations. There was one with the shape of a kunai which reminded him of the kunai throwing practice he did and the hearing training.
"There are people who don't live on the main island too?" Haku muttered to himself.
He saw a few lights singing on the horizon. He guessed that they were from homes on the island.
'Alright! Time to sleep.' haku weaved two hand signs— he still couldn't perform one-handed earth release— and erected a do around him.
After that, he drifted into the world of dreams.
