Newfound Power

Two days had passed since Kurogiri took over the Grass Ninja Village, and he had made several improvements to the place and himself. Kurogiri, now sitting on an earth throne he made, had changed dynamically due to increased intelligence from High Spec.

One of the significant changes he made was constructing a thirty-foot wall surrounding the village using earth flow, leaving only two ways in and out. The villagers were initially frightened by the sight of the walls, but after seeing that it was done to protect the village, they quickly accepted it.

Kurogiri was more focused on the captured ninjas, as they couldn't go much longer without food and water and couldn't help himself from absorbing their chakra while inside the ball using his strength All For One. Rin didn't express any desire for revenge and left their fate up to him, providing plenty of chakra and possible subjects to become subordinates and Nomus.

Kurogiri didn't plan to treat them like he treated Rin because he only treated Rin that way due to their similarities. He didn't want to leave himself vulnerable to betrayal and thus decided to use some of the abundant energy in his spiritual space to create the perfect quirk for this situation.

Kurogiri's flesh was used to create Queen Bee, with the help of High Spec, because of the immense information needed to form the quirk and the large amount of chakra used. After focusing for a few hours and enduring enormous amounts of pain, Kurogiri succeeded in turning part of his body, his back, into a hive of bees.

Each bee was part of his quirk, and a part of his mind was connected to them. His quirk allowed him to control people and see and hear what they experience through the bees. Additionally, the bees served as a safety measure, as he could be reborn in one of them if something happened to his main body.

With High Spec, handling all the transmitted information was not difficult at all. However, because of Queen Bee's weakness, Kurogiri also created the quirk Pain Blocker which as the name suggests, prevents him from feeling pain.

This is a good thing because normally, he would feel the pain of everyone connected to Queen Bee, and that is not desirable. Using Pain Blocker with Queen Bee makes it the best quirk now, because he can also use it to inject his cells directly into anyone connected.

After Kurogiri created Queen Bee, he released the Ninja in batches and used his bees to directly take control of them, giving him hundreds of different perspectives. With so many ninja under his control, Kurogiri was able to allow them to eat and drink to replenish their chakra, as a renewable source of chakra was necessary to achieve his future plans.

With time to think and his new intelligence, Kurogiri decided on the type of Demon King he would be. He was determined to repay kindness with kindness, but anything else would incur his wrath.

The idea was to be the Demon King that others fear but that his people love, to the point of worship, as followers are essential. Kurogiri did not plan to do everything himself, even if he were able, so followers were a must.

Kurogiri had a discussion with Rin, who explained that ninja were not the majority of the population and that everyone had some chakra, but civilians had far less than ninja. Kurogiri learned that there was often disregard for civilians by ninja, leading to many deaths. He decided that targeting civilians could be a solution.

Knowing that he could offer them protection and power, he figured they would be willing to give him everything just to be under him. However, he put this off for later as he had to focus on the problem at hand, which was how the other Ninja Villages would respond to his actions.

With his newfound perspective, Kurogiri concluded that most villages would be sending teams, if not more, to capture or kill him. He understood that time was not on his side and that he had only a few days at best to prepare. This is where Queen Bee came into play.

With over two hundred and fifty ninja under his control, spread out keeping lookout around the village on the wall, Kurogiri was able to create smaller and weaker quirks using Queen bee and All for one. This also served as a test of Queen Bee.

Creating these quirks took a lot of chakra, but with Queen Bee, Kurogiri was able to use All for One to absorb the chakra of those he was connected to, so he could absorb the chakra and create the quirk. Now he had over two hundred pairs of eyes with infrared quirks and, keeping watch so that he would be prepared when they attacked.

Kurogiri was able to absorb chakra bit by bit from all the ninja he was connected to. He used the chakra to strengthen his own body and the bodies of the Nomus he created. The Nomus were reaching their limit of how many quirks their bodies could handle, so Kurogiri came up with an idea to combine the two.

He created a scanning quirk for himself, which would normally allow him to see other quirks and their power levels, but in this world, it showed chakra levels and affinities. Selecting the strongest ninja out of the group, Kurogiri began the Nomu creation process by placing his hands on the ninja. The quirk he wanted to create did not exist in the original My Hero Academia, but with High Spec, Kurogiri was no longer limited to existing quirks.

Injecting his cells in abundance into the ninja, Kurogiri focused on the quirks and their effects. The two quirks he focused on were Biomass and Fusion. He used these to create a Nomu that could absorb the other two Nomus' biomass and fuse together with them, creating a single Nomu with the combined abilities of all three.

Kurogiri created his own Gigantomachia, and after fusion, it stood a nine-foot-tall black humanoid monster in its base form. He placed his hand on it, using All for One to focus an abundance of chakra into it, forming three quirks: Energy Saver, Endurance, and Super Regeneration. With the final quirks added, his Gigantomachia was complete, combining all three to create his perfect protector, with its sole focus to do his bidding.

With his Nomu out of the way, Kurogiri could focus back on himself. During this time, he was always absorbing energy. Multitasking was an easy thing to do with High Spec, allowing him to be aware of all the information he was receiving.

His mind was also focused on siphoning chakra and absorbing it, while another part was in control of gathering chakra from the ninja under his control, enough to keep his spiritual space plentiful without affecting their performance. Since their chakra could replenish by resting, it gave him ample opportunity to absorb more chakra.

Kurogiri created two self-created quirks, which were unique to him and would be useful only to an All for One user. The first quirk was Quirk Destruction, which allowed him to destroy quirks in himself and others through touch. The second one was Quirk Synthesis, which allowed him to combine similar quirks.

He used Quirk Synthesis to combine Search and Sensing, creating a new quirk altogether, which he named Detection. By using Detection, Kurogiri could sense any being within a certain range along with their chakra level, even storing the information for later use. It was also capable of finding any safe target, no matter the location.

The range of Kurogiri's detection extended throughout the entire village and ten meters beyond the front wall, which meant nobody would be able to sneak up on him. High Spec made it extremely easy to activate Detection, and Kurogiri was unable to imagine how he could have done all this without it. He now understood Nezu's character if his mind was like this.

Kurogiri had accomplished all of this from his throne in the center of the village. As a result of absorbing so much chakra, he had grown over six feet closer to seven feet. With Pain Blocker, there was no discomfort, so he could let his body continue to grow.

Rin had visited a few times over the past two days and was astounded at what Kurogiri had done. She couldn't imagine what had been done to him to turn him into this form. However, she wasn't afraid because Kurogiri had already changed her and her daughter's lives forever.

At one point, Rin brought him some food, but Kurogiri told her that he didn't need to eat and not to bother him at the moment. Rin didn't take it to heart because she also knew that soon this place could become a battlefield due to people's fear of Kurogiri.

She told him she understood and would be available when needed. Before leaving, she asked if he had a last name and what he planned to call the village if anything.

Kurogiri heard Rin's questions and thought about it shortly. He decided to honor All for One and Tomura, so he told Rin his last name was Shigaraki, and that this would now be Shigaraki Village. Rin left to spread the word, but the amount of chakra and changes going on with Kurogiri were too much for her senses.

Watching Rin leave, Kurogiri couldn't help but appreciate her concern and promised himself to show the same back. Kindness for kindness and wrath for everything else.

With those passing thoughts, Kurogiri could see heat signatures in the distance using his surveilling ninja. Knowing that the enemy was coming, Kurogiri smiled, knowing that they were coming unprepared to face his newfound power.
