Chapter 5. The End Of The Ward Part 2

In the midst of Yami's fight against Dr. 0020, another battle raged on between Father and three companions – Dave, Nanami, and Seven. Father utilized his quirk, 'Dark Limbs,' to keep the trio at bay. His powerful and agile black arms emerged from his back and moved at lightning speed, causing the three companions to struggle to avoid them, father stood with his arms folded, regarding them as mere ants.

Seven, a young woman with a petite frame, sported striking sky-blue hair and yellow eyes. Her quirk, 'Cryogenic Exhalation,' allowed her to breathe out frigid air that could freeze anything it came into contact with. Nanami, an older woman with green hair and piercing black eyes, possessed the quirk 'Oozeform,' which enabled her to morph her body into a slimy substance. Dave, an African American man who was appeared to be middle aged, wielded the quirk 'Ironclad Strength.' With this power, he could amplify his strength to ten times its normal level.

Seven utilized her quirk and unleashed her best technique, the 'Frost Bullet.' The technique proved to be effective as it froze the black arms upon impact. Father noticed that the trio was starting to comprehend the quirk. "Hmm… it seems you all are not just some nobodies. I guess that's to be expected when hiring people for my organization," he said in a detached tone. "But it doesn't matter. Even if ants struggle against a wasp, they are still just ants." With those words, he increased the number of arms, making his attacks more vicious and precise.

The three companions struggled to avoid the onslaught of attacks coming their way. Dave activated his quirk, 'Ironclad Strength,' and started to parry the black arms' strikes. Meanwhile, Seven used her 'Frost Bullet' to freeze every hand that came her way, and Nanami used her 'Oozeform' to absorb the attack damage. Father, observing their evasive maneuvers, activated another quirk, 'Lazer Gaze,' and emitted laser beams from his eyes, aimed towards Seven.

As Father's attention was fixed on Seven, Dave sprang into action. He darted towards Father, his fist clenched, and activated his quirk to increase his strength. However, before he could land the blow, multiple giant black fists pummeled him into the ground. Father looked smug and spoke with a smile on his face, "Did you really think I wouldn't notice you?" Father quickly used his heat vision quirk to strike Seven in the throat, blasting her away. She crashed into some trees and landed hard, cracking the ground beneath her. Father turned his attention back to Dave, using his arms to immobilize the man, squeezing him as hard as he could, suffocating Dave. Struggling to breathe and losing consciousness, Dave was on the verge of dying.

However, Nanami quickly acted, using her quirk to morph her arm into a whip and slamming it against Father's chest. This sent him flying backwards, crashing into multiple trees before he landed on his feet, brushing himself off. Father retreated his arms back, looking more serious now, as he stared at the duo of Dave and Nanami. Dave was still struggling to breathe, wheezing and coughing as he knelt on the ground. Nanami appeared ragged but didn't show it. "Are you alright, Dave?" she asked with concern, keeping her eyes on Father. Dave managed to respond between gasps, 'Cough…' "…yeah, I'm fine... just needed a breather." "Good, "Nanami said. "We need to finish this." "Yeah... we do." Dave said.

As they faced Father, both of them assumed stances and activated their quirks. Dave took the lead and dashed towards Father, activating another quirk, 'Earth Riser' he made multiple spikes of earth protrude from the ground. With impressive agility and strength, Dave lifted himself off the ground just in time before the spikes emerged. Meanwhile, Nanami used her 'Oozeform' quirk to absorb the spikes as they emerged from the ground. Maneuvering quickly through them, she followed behind. Using his boost, Dave propelled himself onto a tree branch. From the tree branch, Dave blasted towards father, appearing in front of him in an instant. Slightly surprised, Father quickly regained his composure and formed multiple black arms into fists. A barrage of punches assaulted Dave's body, propelling him away and crashing nearby, falling unconscious.

Nanami dashed towards Father, her fist aimed at his throat. However, Father was one step ahead and had anticipated her attack. With his palm outstretched, his hand turned a fiery orange red as he emitted scorching heat. Suddenly, a deafening explosion erupted as a furious tsunami of flames engulfed the area in front of him. "Die, ant, die!" he sadistically exclaimed, relishing in his power.

As Dave emerged from the flames, his body visibly damaged and distorted, he limped towards Father, his voice hoarse and weak as he asked, "Bastard, why won't you let the boy go?" Father simply laughed at the man's pitiful state and walked towards him, explaining, "Why… hmm, I guess it's because I own him. His body is my vessel, and with all the money and time I've invested in this plan, I want to succeed. But it doesn't make sense to explain, since I'll get what I want." He continued to walk towards Dave, his right arm increasing in size as he activated another quirk. "Let me show you true strength," he said indifferently as his right arm burst through his suit and his muscles bulged with raw power.

Dave, unable to dodge the incoming attack, activated his quirk and braced himself for impact. But Father disappeared and reappeared in front of him, delivering a devastating blow to Dave's abdomen that sent shockwaves through his body and knocked him unconscious. Father looked at the unconscious body of Dave and smiled, "I guess I'll try this quirk on you three." Meanwhile, Yami had retrieved his sword and was walking back towards Kazuki when an ominous feeling overtook him. Suddenly, a portal appeared and a man with only red eyes visible emerged from it. It was Father. Father walked out the portal and lowered his gaze onto the dead body of Dr. 0020 before turning his attention to the tired Yami. "Well hello, Yami," he greeted with a smirk.
