10: Treating like a stalker
Santiago finally lose the last string of his patience and walked to her in a rush manner. The moment he stopped by her, he grabbed her by the arm and shook her violently.
" Hey! Enough is enough now. I have been seeing you for some time now, you are following me, right? Why? And who sent you here? ".
There was a blood rush in his eyes as if he would kill her if she is to say that she is indeed following him, he had the temptation to kill her then and there.
At first, when he grabbed them without permission, Nuri thought she doesn't have enough strength to shake him off, but then when she just slightly shook her hand, his whole body shook up, and his grip became weak, she pulled her hand back.
She was confused, did she just shake him entirely with her just a little strength?
Amazed by her sudden strength, she started at her hands for quite some time before Santiago shook her out of her thoughts.
" What? Do you think you can stalk me just because you are slightly powerful? You are wrong, I can kill if I want. So I will appreciate it if you stop stalking and following me so publically ", Santiago blurred out.
Nuri didn't mind him at first but was the hell was he shouting at her for? She was so pissed now.
" So annoying...", Nuri brushed her hair behind in annoyance but didn't look him in the eyes.
" Look mister, I don't know how you are. You are quite daring to shout at a stranger huh, don't you have a shame? And how dare you make allegations of stalking you. Fucking shit...".
Yeah, she was annoyed and it could be seen in her tone. It was all new to her and she was still struggling to adapt to this world after knowing she was restored in that antic lab for the last five hundred years. And now this old man blaming and putting allegations about her that she is stalking him?
Santiago flinched on the spot after hearing her swear. But there's no way he would believe her.
" Look! If you are here to catch me and take me with you, I am sad to say but I am coming anywhere you. You can go fuck wherever you want ", He wanted to swear and fight her, but for some reason, he couldn't bring himself to do or act bad in front of her.
' Fuck you say? That's what exactly will happen if I am to look into your eyes and that's exactly what I am worried about. So it's better to leave here ', Nuri thought in her mind, she laughed at her mind to even think about it.
She brushed her hair once again and then started walking down the bridge.
Santiago's eyes followed all her actions and he also started walking behind her. ' What is this woman saying? She is supposed to fight me and get me back to jail. Is she giving up? Why? ', Santiago felt upset seeing her ignoring him.
" Hey! Don't act like I am to blame here. You are the one who's following, how dare you ignore me ", He was getting worked up for nothing.
He was all confused and wants to open her head to see what was inside, she was acting all weird and suspicious. If she was not following him earlier, then why is she hiding her face, why can't she look straight into his eyes? Everyone knows this city is abandoned and hardly someone sets foot inside, so why is she here? What's her business here?
Nuri kept on ignoring him while walking down the bridge and he was walking after her still talking and blabbering behind. At first, she was annoyed but as time passed by, she was pissed and wanted to smack him hard in the face.
He was seriously taking advantage of her silence and doing whatever he was feeling suited to.
They finally crossed the bridged and were standing on the bare ground, the wind was strong and hot, and with every wind blow the sand and soil were mixing in the air.
Despite not knowing where she was walking, she kept on with her act and Santiago kept on blabbering. This kept on going for an hour until they reached a factor as quite a haunted house. There was a Closed sign hanging on the gate, it was locked, the factory was maybe closed for the day or maybe it was the weekend, she had no idea behind the closed factory, she just assumed.
[I think you should stop by here today. You must be tired and you still need the energy to process everything, so let's take a break ]
' You mean this factory? But it's locked, how should I go in? ', She thought.
[Break in. No one will be there inside anyway, right place for you to crash for the night ]
Nuri stopped in front of the factory, trying to figure out how she should sneak in when there was such a big lock hung outside on the gate.
She completely ignored Santiago, not like she had any idea that it was him the criminal.
" You have been ignoring me for the last hour, can you tell me what's going on in your mind? ", He asked her finally.
She kept on looking towards the factory, " You said I was stalking you, so why are you acting so anxious now that I am acting on my own? Are you perhaps taking me for someone else? Or you actually wanna stick close to me ", She smirked.
She could see no other choice but to climb the wall and she did exactly that. Seeing the gate was locked, she just climbed it and jumped on the other side.
Santiago was silky shocked, his eyes popped out like a crab. And without even looking back, he also jumped to the other side of the wall.
" Huh? Why are you following me? ", Nuri asked when she heard the thud voice and saw him land on the cement ground.
" I also wanna ask my heart the same question, but even my heart has no answer ".
