Chapter 26

I am currently in Akihabara, doing some shopping.

Well, I currently have so much money that doing something like this doesn't matter to me at all. At least not anymore.

[ Encountering Battle is Open! ]

But suddenly, while I was walking around, doing some window shopping, looking for the next thing to buy, clearly minding my own business... my phone suddenly rang and there it says that someone challenged me.

Now... this greatly weirded me out at first cause right now, I literally have an activated Shelter. Meaning, I should be immune to any challenge invitations for a certain amount of time.

But it didn't take me that long before I realize the exact reason why this happened.

It's because Shelter can only prevent incoming challenge invitations from the Class Match Battles. But Class Match battle is not the only form of battle in Darwin's game... There's also the Encounter Battle.

To make the long story short, If someone saw me on the street and decided to fight me on the spot then, my shelter would not be able to do anything about that.

Which is exactly what's happening right now.

"Holy sh*t dude! A B rank? We found a big fish!"

Also, the annoying giggles that I started hearing all of a sudden cannot make the situation more obvious. Cause when I then look behind me, I saw three teenagers who I quickly recognized as, based on the school uniforms they were wearing, students from my school.

Or at least, the school that the me of this world goes to.

"Ah."

Anyways, I immediately realized what was happening here. Cause at first, I thought that someone personally hunted me now. Made me worried there for a second not gonna lie.

Though this is probably nothing but a pure coincidence cause looking at the profile of my supposedly opponent right now...

"D rank huh?"

I saw nothing but utter garbage.

There's no way that someone would send a D rank Player here to personally hunt me. That's just outright insulting. If this is truly the case then I would probably be more glad if an A-rank player appears here rather than these brats.

In any case, I can probably summarize already the entire current situation based on how much I've seen this cliche scene in the countless anime I've watched in the past.

That this bunch is probably new to the game, or at least, has been in the game for not too long. And given their overall temper, questionable haircuts, and annoying faces that make me want to slap them just by looking at it, they might be your cliche bullies in high school. And if that's the case, then it's safe to say that the wins that these people got are probably from their own bullied victims.

Now since they have wins in their record, that means, they finally got a taste of this wonderful thing called points. They found out that by winning battles, they can get even more of it. But their victims, are out of it now, that's probably why they decided to go out in the city this time and find another victim that would bleed points for them.

And it just so happens that they are fortunate enough to stumble upon this "Big fish", which, unfortunately, is me.

"Hehe. Imagine how many points we can get by defeating him."

I mean...

*Sigh~*

Today is actually a rest day for me and I did not plan to engage in any kind of battle for quite some time. I've been through so much violence already these past few days that as much as possible, I want this to be a relaxing and peaceful day.

This reason of mine is probably obvious cause people would not waste points to buy a Shelter for no reason at all.

Oh well, it seems that a change of plan is needed.

In the first place, even if I want to avoid this fight and just offer a loss, which is a thing that I would absolutely not do, I can't cause my opponents, the three of them for some reason even though I only have one opponent, started whipping out their sigils already.

Clearly showing that the three of them, are planning to gang up on the poor me. I couldn't even see a single remorse in their eyes. Only extreme greed.

Now in this situation, sadly, I only have two options. It's either be beaten or beat them.

Obviously, I would choose to kill them. Violence never fails. The moment that they disturbed my day just because of their trashy actions and garbage intention, peace never became an option anymore.

That's why the moment their eyes started glowing, a clear sign that they are already calling out their Sigils, I too immediately brought out my Spell Book.

And before they could even materialize whatever they are trying to materialize...

"Teleport!"

I already cast a teleportation spell to disappear and then reappear behind them.

*Krackle!*

Not gonna lie, as much as I want to make fun of these kids, I became pretty serious in an instant cause one of the trio, upon his Sigil's activation, electricity started squirting out of his hands all of a sudden.

Now I don't exactly know the true extent of that ability. He might be able to cast lighting like some wizard or something, not sure. But what I'm sure is that whatever the case is, he's dangerous to be left around me, and that I need to take him out as soon as possible.

That's electricity. No matter how little that is, one touch of that and I'll be done... And that's why I dealt with him first.

*vhooosh!*

By sending him flying aggressively toward the nearby wall using my new spell, Air Blast.

*spladt!*

ACCIDENTALLY killing him cause the impact seems too strong that it cracked his head open. A pretty disgusting sight actually cause his brain matters even exploded out, scattering on the wall he collided into.

In any case, as much as I want to say sorry to him and to his friends, I'm not. In the first place, they are the ones who started this.

I'm just chilling, minding my own business, and they just had come in and ruined my vibe.

Yup, and that's why they will die right now. For that very reason.

What can I say? I'm a petty guy.

"That's one down."

Now to deal with the rest, I just pulled out the hidden knife in my pockets. And before any of the remaining two could even get out of their shocked state, I already rushed at them and...

"TAKASHI!!! YOU! YOU'LL PAY FOR, WOAH WAI- AGHK!"

"Two down."

Now for the remaining one, well, he immediately started running away upon seeing his two friends get killed. He did not even hesitate, unlike his other friend here that tried going super syan.

"Smart fucker."

Anyway, he's too far away from me now and I doubt my knife-throwing skills are that great to do the job.

"Ice Thorn."

That's why I just used a Spell for more efficiency.

"HE- HELP! SOMEONE HEL-" *thushk!*

Now with him falling on the ground after being railed in the face, the small empty alley that I'm in had finally gone quiet again.

Other than the notification that started going on in my mind that is.

But I didn't mind it. Cause this sound is literally the only noise I won't mind hearing every day.

If only that's just the actual case.
