Chapter 7: Village lord

Noah continued training with the stone dummies, the wooden dummies did not give him any more stats so he had to use the stone ones to further raise his stats.

Once the stone dummies stopped giving him stats he started using the iron dummies, in total Noah spent 2 days training up all his physical stats, this included speed, speed could be trained by dodging attacks of the dummies in certain patterns, it was quite sad that he wasn't able to get a quest from Gerald for training his speed.

His stats looked something like this now;

Noah was honestly amazed by his stats, they were incredibly high for a level 3, if he had to fight the bandits from before he'd be much more confident in winning as his stats most likely surpassed that of the bandit leader's, at least his physical stats did.

All Noah had to do now was get the secret rewards from the starting village and reach level 15, once he did that he'd unlock the global server where every single player in the world would be placed into the same sever spread over multiple continents, countries, and regions, many of these places held secrets that Noah didn't know, Noah was sure that even the regions that he had conquered in the past had secrets that he was unaware of, that was why he was excited to once again play the game, even if he knew the dark truth that lied ahead.

Noah decided to take a small break and eat some food.

Noah sighed as he stretched his body out, he could barely wait until the next version of the pods was released, they would allow players to stay in them for months without having any side effects, losing muscles wouldn't be a problem as the pod would keep your body active.

Noah checked his phone but he didn't receive any important message other than Matt sending him a few memes and TakTiks, it was used to friend each other in-game, you could send messages and request the location of the people on your friend's lists, it was a very useful tool to have.

Noah ate some food and did some exercise, the pod allowed you to stay in it for at most 3 days without any side effects so he didn't really need to do it but Noah liked exercising and it was great for his body so he didn't mind doing it.

Noah laid back down into the pod and started the game.

Noah had two choices at the moment, he could rapidly level himself to level 15 and get some better monster parts or activate the quest that would unlock the first dungeon.

If Noah waited too long the quest to activate the dungeon would eventually be taken by someone else that Gerald found to be of appropriate strength so Noah decided to go to the village lord's office.

The office of the village lord was a large square building that was decorated quite nicely and was heavily protected by guards, it housed both the lord of the village and served as the village's treasury, it was the village's safest place other than the training grounds where Instructor Gerald always was.

Noah walked up to the massive double doors and was stopped by two guards, he showed them the emblem that Gerald had given him and they allowed him to enter without much difficulty, the lord would be able to receive him without him having to wait.

Noah walked along the hallways until he arrived in front of a large dark door which he knocked on, a few moments later he heard a powerful voice say enter.

Noah opened the door and was greeted by a well-lit room, the room had two large bookcases a large desk, and a table with a few chairs.

A man with a large frame was sitting behind the table, he had a well-kept beard and shoulder-length hair kept in a bun, this was the village lord, he was currently the strongest and most influential person in the village, of course, Noah knew of a few ways that he could beat the man but most of them involved him becoming a criminal which wouldn't really work in his favor.

The man looked at Noah with sharp eyes, his voice strong and powerful "So you're the man that Gerald told me about, I heard you needed a few quests, my forces are currently spread quite thin and the monsters have been more active lately, especially the wolves, I have reasons to believe that a dungeon has been formed, if you feel that you are up to the task then I would appreciate you locating and verifying the existence of a dungeon." The man said without missing a word.

Noah smiled "Of course village lord, I would be grateful if you allowed me to help, I have been summoned only recently so I do not have the strength to defeat a dungeon just yet but I will do my best to see whether I can locate one." Noah said with a small bow.

The village lord nodded "Good, I don't like weak-minded people so I like your personality, I can tell that you will be strong one day, if you manage to find it I'll have some rewards ready for you."

[Find the Dungeon!

Description: The village lord has heard rumors of there being a dungeon in the forest, he wants you to investigate it and report your findings to him, once you complete this quest you will be able to enter the dungeon, you will be the only one allowed entry for a period of 1 day.

Rewards: 250 Exp, 1 silver coin, E-rank armor.]

This was the easiest quest that the village lord gave, you simply had to find the dungeon's location, the forest easily spread over an area of a hundred kilometers so if Noah hadn't already known the dungeon's location he would have had to search for it for quite a while.

Noah bid goodbye to the village lord and immediately left to go to the dungeon.
