Chapter Three: Captain?

Amai: " Okay Kotae, let's go get one of those log poses you were telling me about ".

Kotae: "That's fine with me but how am I going to leave with you without getting seen..''Plus we don't even have any money".

Amai: "Well money won't be a problem, 'I'm sure this generous auction house can lend us some money". "But as far as getting you out of here…that might be a bit of an issue".

As Amai and Kotae look through the backrooms trying to find any money they can.They are none the wiser of the person spying on them. The Vice Captain of the infamous Ghost pirates, Momoku the phantom. Holder of the Suke Suke no mi (Clear-Clear fruit) which allows its user to turn himself and anything they touch invisible has been watching Amai since the moment he left the docks.

Flashback:

Cap Pov

Cap: "Alright, your first mission is to gain as much knowledge about fish-man island and how to get there as possible and relay it back to me at the end of the day, you can meet me at the docks, good luck kid".

As I walked off, I thought to myself 'What a strange little kid' than I proceeded to call my vice-captain Momoku immediately.

Momoku:" Hello, what's going on cap"

Cap: " I need you to follow this kid I just met, For some reason he wants to join our crew. I don't know if he is a plant or not, I just need you to watch what he does and where he goes,"

Momoku: "Do you know where he is headed or what direction he went?"

Cap: "It looks like he went in the direction of the auction hall."

Momoku:" Alright cap consider it done, talk to you soon,"

After hanging up the call Momoku leaves the restaurant he was in even though his food had just arrived. But that mattered not, because to him, his duties came first.

I had reluctantly sped off into the direction of the auction hall. Once I arrived, I spotted this little kid that looked to be around six years old surveying the entrance of the auction hall. Bot noy even a few seconds later the kid vanished.

Momoku: ' Maybe he has a similar devil fruit to mine'

I than make my way into the auction house trying to find any traces of this kid or anything abnormal. and I eventually find my way to one of the backrooms and see a blue inky mist spray out from one of the walls. And not even a minute later the two people in the room drop to the ground paralyzed.

Momoku: 'maybe he ate a zoan fruit that lets him camouflage and has venom'

After the two dudes fall to the ground the kid reappears. He begins to wake the mermaid and reveals…

Momoku: 'He's a fishman!, ooooh cap is going to love this.'

Right then and there Momoku begins to call his captain and tell him what he just saw and lets him listen to the explanation the mermaid gave to Amai about fishman and the Ryugyu Kingdom.

Cap: 'I love how plans Just come together, looks like we're going to have a new addition to the crew'

Amai: Pov

As Amai is making his way to the docks, he's checking out the two different types of log poses he just got. Learning that the one with a singular compass is for the first half of the grand line which is called paradise because of how safe it is compared to the new world.

And the new world log pose has three separate compasses on it, to indicate which island is most dangerous, by the different intensity of vibrations in the poses.

Log poses isn't the only thing I got from the shop. I also got a lot of different maps including a world map that had alot of blank spaces. I also got this thing called an eternal log pose to the island I'm currently on called the sabaody archipelago.

Which is a log pose that stays in the direction of a singular island and doesn't change. Then I bought a to fit all of my new stuff in. I would've Just held them inside of my tentacles but that's where Kotae was. Hiding at.

Once I made it to the docks, I greeted my future captain.

Amai: "Good Evening captain."

Cap: *Smile* "Follow me"

Amai: 'That was weird.' But I proceeded to follow him to what I assume to be his ship. It wasn't a small ship either; it dwarfed most ships that were at the docks but there were other ships that made his ship look tiny as well.

We make our way onto the ship without a word being said. Then he has me follow him to the captains quarters is what I'm assuming. We also run into one of his crew members standing outside of the office and once we enter he says

Cap: "My name is Obake, Captain of the ghost pirates, welcome to the crew Lil Amai." Before you ask, I had someone follow you, so I know you completed the task, But I also found out your little secret."

After hearing this Amai was panicking in his head because he didn't know how Obake was going to react. Was he going to kill or sell him it was anyone's guess.

Cap: " You don't need to worry lil Amai. "You see our goal for going to fish man island is to learn fishman karate and train to be ready for the new world. Lucky for you, you're going to be a crucial part of this plan." " So you and the little mermaid you have with will remain unharmed."

Amai: "What would be my role exactly, In this plan of yours"

Cap: "In due time you will know everything you need to... But for now, let's all get acquainted with the rest of the crew, well, all the important members anyway."

I released Kotae out of my tentacles then we made our way to the deck of the ship where we were greeted by a single man. This was the same guy I was spying on at the docks when I got the information about the coating of the ships. I'm guessing they're getting their ship coated later tonight or in the morning considering there's people still on it.

Cap: "Go ahead and introduce yourself first lil Amai"

Amai: " Okay, hello my name is Dohrnii Amai, and this is Kotae" I say while pointing at the mermaid beside me. " It is a pleasure to meet you and thank you for letting me join your crew. "

Momoku: "Hello there Amai, I'm Momoku the vice-captain of this crew, That's Kiyone, She's the ships doctor." Pointing to the lady sitting on a chair reading a newspaper. "The one over there at the mast is Umiyo the navigator of the ship", "Last but not least we have Hiyone he's the crew's chef. He was just leaning against the edge of the ship watching the sunset. "Fun fact Hiyone is actually the older brother of Kiyone, A chef and a doctor, great family talent am I right?"

-Clap-

Obake: "All right then, now that introductions are out of the way, we're going to the inn we rented out and you can get to know everyone there."

As we're making our way to the Inn, Momoku walks up and asks me," What kind of devil fruit did you eat?" I replied," what's a devil fruit," he didn't respond, he just stared at me for a couple of seconds and walked off. But now he has me curious, 'Is that how they were following me, they used a devil fruit?'

Once we made it to the Inn I realized they had way more crew members than I had thought. They have around 80-100 crew members excluding them and they're all in the bar area enjoying themselves drinking, laughing and having fun.

Momoku and the rest joined in, leaving me and Kotae and Obake at the entrance. Obake then stepped forward gathering everyone's attention.

Obake: "LISTEN UP EVERYONE, WE HAVE NEW EDITIONS TO THE CREW, MEET AMAI AND KOTAE, I WANT YOU ALL TO GIVE THEM A WARM WELCOME AND SHOW THEM HOW PIRATES PARTY!!!"

Everyone: " YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Random crew Members: " He's Just a little kid though" he says whispering to his buddy "I know right, maybe he has a special devil fruit or something that why cap is making an exception"

All night we partied, Dancing, singing , laughing and enjoying each other's company. It had been so long Since I had communicated with other people like this. Including my past life as Thomas. It made me feel like I belonged. It gave me hope for what the future would hold. So we spent the next three days partying waiting for the coating to be done on the ship.
