Chapter two: Joining A Crew?

'Who the hell is Garp, and is Xebec a terrorist or something. I continued to read further and I found out I'm living in a world where pirates get captured by marines, people have bounties, and get hunted by bounty hunters. even the currency is different, instead of dollars they use berries.

After leaving the restaurant I started wandering around aimlessly listening and looking for any useful information about this world. Luckily I overheard these two pirates talking about selling a fish-man they caught at an auction. It took me a while to find the place but only because the island is extremely large for my child sized body to travel through. But other than that It wasn't hard to find the place because it had a big sign saying 'Auction Hall'.

Once I made my way in I found myself in this theater-like hall with a stage towards the bottom with seats surrounding it. Entering, I noticed the auction was near its end so I didn't have to wait long to see them auction off the mermaid lady they had.

It was something I have never seen before,It was an actual mermaid! From what I was hearing from the people in the auction hall there's a whole island full of fish-men, merfolk and mermaids at the bottom of the ocean.

So I decided to try my luck to find a way to make it to this fish-man island. I make my way to the docks because I figured that would be the reason for pirates being here, considering they make money from selling the fish-men and mermaids.

After making it to the docks and listening around for about an hour I hear this pirate say, "Hey Cap, it's going to take three days to get our ship coated to make it to fish-man island, what should we do till then? '' Captain,"Just enjoy yourselves for the next three days but as soon as the ship is done being coated, Be there." random pirate," aye aye captain".

'Hmm So that's how they make it that far down without dying, they use those bubbles to protect them from the pressure of the water. I wonder if I would need a bubble to get that far down? ….,.,...Probably not but I might get lost considering how dark it get'

'I do wonder how they navigate underwater? They probably use a compass or something'. 'Ugh yet another thing to look into.' So I head on another mission to find a way to navigate myself to fish-men island.

Looking at all the pirate crews at the docks I notice something similar to a watch on the wrist of one or more of the crew members. 'I can't exactly ask for the thing on their wrist or what it is, or maybe I could'. So I walk up to the captain that I was spying on her earlier and say," Hey mister, can I join your crew I want to go to fish-man island and see all the mermaids and eat so many delicious foods and go on a big adventure and become the most powerful person in the whole world,"

Cap: "Whoa whoa so slow down their kid first can you give me your name,"

Amai: "my name,...."

Cap: "yea kid do you have one "

Amai: "umm...yea …my name is …. dohrnii .....Amai….. yep dohrnii Amai is my name"

Cap: "okay lil Amai why do you want to join my crew"

Amai: "I told you already I wanna go on big adventures, eat delicious foods and meet beautiful mermaids".

Cap: "mmmm...Alright lil Amai I'll give you a chance to join my crew in three days we leave to head to fish-man island. You have exactly three to impress me with any skills you may have along with any task I'll be giving you during these three days. Do you agree with the terms?'

Amai: "I agree, you will be so impressed you might want to make me your right hand man"

Cap: "Cacacaca It sounds good, but talk is cheap, if you really want to impress me you will have to show me through your actions".

Amai: "That's easy, But captain what's your name?".

Cap: "i'm not giving you my name right now, you don't have the qualifications. But if you are able to make it into the crew your at liberty to know and ask anything you want,"

Amai: "great, Then whats my first task mister".

Cap: "Your first mission is to gain as much knowledge about fish-man island and how to get there as possible and relay it back to me at the end of the day, you can meet me here at the docks, good luck kid".

As he walks off I think to myself ' how am I finna get any information about fish man island'. Then I remember I have camouflage. So I make my way back to the Auction Hall hoping they didn't ship that mermaid off yet.

Once I got back inside of the auction hall it was mostly empty, just a few people finishing up their final payments. So I camouflage myself and start to crawl on the walls till I get to the backroom. There I then search for where they're keeping the mermaid at. I finally come across one of the back rooms where I find two men discussing the transport of the mermaid while the tank is in the middle of the room. I then spray my toxin to where the two men can inhale it.

Obviously this didn't go unnoticed. They made an attempt to find me but they were unsuccessful in doing so. After a minute or so they fall victim to the toxin becoming paralyzed no longer getting any neurological transmissions to any muscle-group. I then went to wake the mermaid from her tank./prison," Please don't hurt me, Just let me go please I'll do anything." I reply,"calm down, I'm not the one that captured you but I do need your help". Than she opens her eyes and realizes I'm just a little kid

Mermaid: "Yes I can help you out, just let me out of here first".

I ignore what she said completely and continue on with my questioning,"So I need to know everything about fish-men along with the island and how to get there'' so she replies,

Mermaid: "why should I tell you that your just going to capture more mermaids and sell them off"

Amai: "No actually i'm also a fish-man'' revealing my octopus tentacles bringing her into a state of confusion and shock. After she recollects her thoughts she begins to explain to me all about the fish-men and the island.

Mermaid: "So fish-man Island also known as Ryugyu Kingdom resides 10,000m below the surface containing all different types of fish-men and merfolk. Who's ruler is king Pluto with a son named Neptune.

Mermaid: "The reason for fish-man island being where it is because of the sunlight tree eve that emits light even at the depths of the ocean,"

Amai: "So how did fish-man come about and why are they hunted by humans?" She replied," I don't know why fish-men exist nor do I know they came to be. But I also don't know how humans came to be. We exist Just like them. But the reasons why humans hunt us merfolk and fish-men is a whole different topic.

Mermaid: "As you know mermaids tend to beautiful and the lustful humans crave that to no end. Also when humans view things or people as a threat they do anything to eradicate or ostracized them. You might not know but the avg. fish-men tends to be ten times stronger than avg. human. Giving fishmen a huge advantage over the human population if were to outgrow them numbers wise"

Mermaid: "But there is also the simple fact that we are different from them and humans tend to detest anything unknown or different from them".

Mermaid: fish-men also have their own fighting techniques called fish man karate which cater to them specifically and is extremely versatile and dangerous "

Amai: "Okay thank you, but you still didn't answer my last question, how do I get their,"

Mermaid: "Most fish-men just know the way for living their for so long but for people that's their first time mostly human they use this thing called a log pose which latches onto the magnetic field of an island and once you reach the island the log pose will reset and switch to the next island but each island has different reset times."

Amai: "Thank you, really helped me out a lot, and I'm planning to go to fish man island in about three days. You can join me if you like."

Mermaid: she replied ecstatically,"yes that would be great, just help me get out of this tank and we can leave," So I break the tank open with my tentacles and before we leave

Amai: I say to her," You have to keep me being a fish-man a secret otherwise I will kill you here and now,"

Mermaid "No problem, your secret is safe with me,"

Amai: "great! So let me introduce myself, I'm Amai nice to meet you, what's your name"

Mermaid: " The introductions are a little late, don't chu' think, But my name is Kotae".

Amai: " Okay Kotae, let's go get one of those log poses you were telling me about ".
