Awakening

At the same moment Aurelius was caught up in the explosion, something amazing happened. The original purpose of the machine was to modify his genetics to produce Power Factor over time in an effort to improve his immortality. He wanted to be able to survive anything, from nuclear explosions to the vacuum of space. The machine would have worked as intented, but the explosion exponentially increased the effects of the machine. Aurelius produced so much power that he could no longer be considered human. His body started undergoing a metamorphosis, one that the universe was incapable of withstanding.

Fortunately, Aurelius acted on instinct, and transported himself into the void beyond worlds. He was able to think, but he could not move. He observed the world for a while, and began to realize how insignificant he had been. Why settle for being a god when you could be an outer god. Aurelius continued observing the world and was intrigued by how it changed the moment it began to focus on Izuku Midoriya. Aurelius began to question the world. 'I don't understand. What is so special about this child. He doesn't have any powers other than enhanced crying, so why is the world so focused on him?'

Eventually, Aurelius regained control over his body. He could have re-entered his world, but he wanted more power. He began to observe other worlds around him, different iterations of the universe he came from. There were many similarities, yet many differences as well. Some worlds had new people, and others had people no longer exist. Worlds where the quirkless had quirks and worlds where the heroes turned bad. He observed many worlds, and found that there was one thing that Aurelius found even weirder than the world where every hero was female, including All Might.

He didn't exist.

He wasn't supposed to exist.

There was not a single world within the void that Aurelius lived in. He explored hundreds, and then thousands of worlds, but he never found himself. He was a singularity. At that moment, Aurelius noticed someone gazing upon him. For the second time in Aurelius's life, he felt fear. But this time, it wasn't a question. He knew that whatever was observing him could kill him. He was nowhere near the top of the food chain. As he tried to come up with a solution to this problem, he found only one answer. Become more powerful.

Aurelius began to absorb the void around him, empowering him even more. Then, he felt pain. Pain beyond comprehension, infinitely worse than being burned alive. He almost gave up, but managed to hold on with a simple mantra. 'I don't want to die. I don't want to die. I DON'T WANT TO DIE. I DON'T WANT TO DIE.'

And then he died.

And then he lived.

Overwhelming power flowed through his body. Every cell saturated with the energy of the void. He was beyond space and time, and he could see everything. 'It's all so insignificant," thought Aurelius, 'What good is a single world when there are an infinite number.'

Turning his gaze away from the multiverse, he discovered more worlds. A multiverse contains an infinite number of worlds, but there are also an infinite number of multiverses. Every book, movie, anything that had been or will be created existed somewhere. Aurelius was no longer bound within his multiverse. He could traverse them all.

Now, it would have been simple to start traveling to other worlds, but there was one thing that Aurelius wanted to do first. Conquer his own.

(Day of the Kamino Incident)

At the start of their battle, All For One taunted All Might. "You really are similar to the previous One for All successor, Nana Shimura." All Might responded harshly, "Do not sully the name of my honored master with that filthy mouth of yours!"

"She was a woman with no skill whose ideals got ahead of her," said AFO. "She was an embarrassment to me as the one who created One For All."

Suddenly, the world seemed to stop. Both All Might and All For One stopped fighting to gaze into the sky. A figure appeared in the sky, seeming as if stars were sculptured into a human form. It's features began to change until it resembled Aurelius, and then he was recognized.

All For One shook in terror, and got down on his knees. Seeking to take advantage of this, All Might attempted to punch AFO shouting, "TEXAS SMASH!". Shockingly, All For One made no attempt to dodge. He didn't need to.

A voice echoed from the sky, "Toshinori Yagi. End your fighting. I don't wish to observe children fight each other with their fists."

"Who are you?" shouted All Might.

All For One answered his question. "He is Aurelius. The immortal who could kill us all. He created the world as we know it, and then disappeared after gifting humanity quirks."

"That would be correct. I am Aurelius, the Immortal King. I lived for 1,500 years on this planet, and then spent eons in the void. I am unkillable, I am a god."

"That's not possible," spoke All Might, "nobody is a god. Nobody is above the law. If you try and hurt people, I'll show you why I'm the symbol of peace."

The world watched this exchange. Previously they had been enthralled by the fight between the two titans, but who was this man that scared someone who could fight All Might?

"I returned to this world for one reason. To conquer. Before me stand All For One and the previous One for All. The brother of Yoichi Shigaraki and his eighth successor. Two men who have fought against each other their whole lives only to be defeated by their new god."

Aurelius's words could be heard by the world through the broadcast, but it wasn't enough for him. Fueling his voice with the power of the void, he spoke in a whisper, yet it could be heard and understood by every living being. "Earth, rejoice. For years you have been plagued by heroes and villains, but no longer shall you suffer. Earth, rejoice and worship, for I am Aurelius the Immortal, AND I WILL RULE OVER ALL!"
