Team Battles

Shoto and Shouji should be at the entrance.

'I want to fight using everything I have got but I can't let the traitor know about my full power.'

I finally reached the first floor.

I continued running toward the entrance.

After a moment I found Shoto and Shouji at the end of the long hallway. It looked like they were expecting my arrival.

I stopped and condensed a lightning bolt in my hand.

I shouted as I stretched my arm preparing to throw the lightning bolt.

"Shoto! Defend as if your life depends on it!"

Even before I threw the lightning bolt ice started to fill the long hallway at a frightening speed.

I threw the bolt when the ice was a meter away from me and started running behind the trail of the lightning bolt.

The lightning bolt tore through solid ice like it was butter and I used my quirk to zip through the hole.

It finally stopped when it was half a foot away from shoto and Shouji and extinguished.

Both of them were relieved when they saw the lightning bolt extinguish.

They heaved a sigh of relief only to be startled by Izumi breaking through the ice and punching Shoto in the face.

Izumi spun in midair and kicked Shouji in the back of the head but Shouji blocked it using his arms.

Izumi landed on the ground and instantly zipped toward the fallen Shoto.

Before he could get close, Shoto used his quirk and sent a large trail of ice toward Izumi's direction.

Izumi pushed himself in the air using the ground and used the ceiling as support to zip toward Shoto who was still dazed by his punch.

He used his speed and kicked Shoto in the stomach, sending him flying into the wall.

Izumi back kicked Shouji who was approaching him from the back.

He turned around, used his quirk to boost his speed and instantly approached Shouji.

Izumi rained down a barrage of punches on Shouji's stomach making him kneel.

Izumi looked at the kneeling Shouji and kicked him in the face knocking him out.

After knocking him out he jumped toward the ceiling dodging the ice trail that Shoto attacked with.

The ice trail carried Shouji to a safe distance away from the two of them.

The air around Shoto started to freeze as he pushed himself to send another large trail of ice which filled the entire hallway toward Izumi.

Isumi condensed another lightning bolt and threw it in the direction of Shoto.

The bolt left a blue trail of lightning as it tore the ice and hit Shoto, electrocuting him.

Shoto fell to the ground, unconscious.

"You would have died if I hadn't reduced the power of the lightning bolt."

Izumi said as he went to Shouji and tied his feet using the capture tape.

He did the same to Shoto, ending the battle.

"The villain team wins!"

All Might's voice rang through the speakers.

We gathered in the monitoring room to discuss the battle.

"Young Izumi, you were excellent. Your combat prowess, battle tactics and the use of your quirk were excellent, even perfect."

"Thank you, All Might."

Izumi spoke in his usual calm tone.

"Young Todoroki, you fought well. This battle should have shown you what you were lacking. You should practise using your quirk while moving. Or else when you encounter an opponent who has a stronger quirk than you then you will just be sitting ducks.

"Yes, All Might."

"Shoji and Hagakure, you should not be disappointed because of this battle. The battle itself wasn't in your favour from the start. But from this battle, you should have understood which battles you need to avoid. Cheer up now, both of you!"

"Yes, All might"

Shouji and Hagakure answered in unison.

As All Might finished speaking, Asui questioned Midoriya.

"Hey, Midoriya. Doesn't your movement technique look a little similar to Izumi's movement technique?"

"Now that I think about it. It does look similar. Except Midoriya's looks a little sloppy while Izumi's looks perfect."

Mina spoke before Midoriya could answer Asui's question.

Midoriya panicked after he heard them.

"Asui, Mina, t-th-that..."

"He saw me while I was training and asked me if I could give him some pointers on movement techniques. So, I taught him for a few days."

Izumi answered Asui's question as Midoriya was still stuttering and thinking.

"Oh, I see."

After this, the tests resumed.

-Team H vs. Team J

-Team E vs. Team F

"The final battle, match 5. Team G will be the heroes and Team C will be the villains."

Ayaka and Momo chose the top floor as their base.

"Momo do you have a plan?"

Ayaka asked Momo.

"Yes, it is the reason why I chose the top floor as our base."

"I am listening."

"Since neither of them has speed-type quirks it will take them some time to get to this room. During that time we will convert this whole room into a trap."

Momo used her quirk to create a large number of unusual metal canisters and barricades.

"I will use these canisters to set the trap while you can use the barricade to close all the exit points. Be quick please, Ayaka."

"Understood."

Ayaka used her quirk to lift the barricades and started to close all the exit points of the room except for the entrance.

By the time Kaminari and Kyouka reached the top floor, Momo and Ayaka's preparations were completed and they were waiting for them to arrive.

Kaminari and Kyouka stopped a few feet away from the entrance to the room.

Kyouka used her quirk and scanned her surroundings.

"Both of them are inside. They look like they are waiting for us."

"Alright wait for me here. I will finish this in a minute."

Kaminari said and walked inside the room while electricity danced around his hands.

He immediately found his opponents.

Ayaka was floating in the air while she hugged Momo's waist.

Kaminari looked at the two people who were wearing gas masks that covered their faces.

If it wasn't for the gas mask, he would have noticed Momo blushing as she looked at Ayaka.

Ayaka stretched her free arm and made a pulling gesture with her hand.

Kyouka who was standing outside scanning the situation inside the room was forcefully pulled into the room.

The moment Kyouka entered the room, a heavy barricade fell from above the entrance and closed the last exit point.

"Wh-what is going on?"

Just as Kyouka asked that question, she heard a sound.

*Beep*

She looked toward the masked Ayaka and Momo.

She noticed that Momo was pressing a button on what appeared to be a remote control.

Kyouka realised what was happening and shouted at Kaminari.

"Hold your breath, there's something in the air."

Kaminari heard Kyouka's shout and held his breath.

They both held their breath for a few seconds while looking at their surroundings, searching for something they could use to attack the duo floating in the air.

But they couldn't find anything. The whole room was empty except for the weapon.

They could see the weapon but couldn't get to it because Ayaka and Momo were floating in the air between them and the weapon.

After a few seconds, they couldn't hold their breath any longer and breathed in some air.

After a few seconds, they fell unconscious to the ground.

Ayaka waited for a few more seconds, she then gently floated back to the ground and without letting Momo out of her embrace, she stretched her free arm again and made a gesture of swiping in the air.

The barricade of one of the windows was crushed and all the gas inside the room rushed out of the window.

Ayaka and Momo removed their masks.

"That was a great plan, Momo."

Ayaka said as she looked at Momo and smiled.

Momo blushed looking at Ayaka's smiling face.

"We-we-we should use the capture tape to t-tie them."

"Right."

Ayaka removed her arm and walked toward the unconscious Kaminari and Kyouka.

She used the capture tape to tie their hands together while giggling.

Momo only shook her head as she looked at Ayaka's behaviour.

"The villain team wins!"

All Might announced the result of the battle.

"That was a brilliant plan Momo. Its execution was also great. Both of you, well done."

"Thank you, All Might!"

Ayaka and Momo thanked All Might for the praise.

"Kaminari, your quirk is powerful but it becomes useless in situations like these if you can't figure out a way to direct it. And Kyouka, you should figure out a way to use your quirk offensively."

"Yes, All Might."

"All the students who failed or gave a poor performance do not be dejected. This is just the second day of high school. If you work hard you can become stronger. This ends our class."

All Might scanned all his students.

"Izumi, Bakugo come to my office after school ends. I need to discuss quite a lot of things with you two. Now, watch how a pro exits like he is got somewhere to be."

All Might finished speaking and ran back to campus at an insane speed.

"All Might is amazing!"

"So cool..."

The students returned to their classroom after showering and changing into their school uniforms.

The classes continued till 4 in the evening.

Bakugo was dazed most of the time during the classes.

After school ended, Izumi and Bakugo went to All Might's office.

"You guys are here. Would you like some tea?"

All Might, who was in his muscular form asked.

"Yes, I will have some."

I answered.

All Might nodded his head and looked at Bakugo.

"None for me."

I and Bakugo sat on one of the two couches and All Might sat on the couch in front of us.

He placed my tea in front of me on the table.

I picked up the cup and took a sip.

I nodded in satisfaction and placed it back on the table.

"Young Izumi, I understand that you had good intentions when you advised Bakugo. Your words were harsh, yes, but you spoke the truth. Bakugo you should have had enough time to think about Isumi's words. What conclusion did you reach?"

"I agree with his analysis. I underestimated my opponents. I also overestimated myself. I should have realised that there would be people stronger than me, like this bastard!"

Bakugo concluded as he glared at me.

"Young Izumi, now that we have solved the problem of giving advice I want to talk about you threatening Bakugo."

"Let me stop you there, All Might. I am not an idiot. I only did that to give him a reality check. If I just used words then this idiot would never have come to his senses. He would still think of himself as the greatest. I only used force because he is a hardworking guy with a strong quirk who can become a strong ally when fighting against that guy in the future."

"What are you talking about?"

Bakugo asked me as he didn't understand what I was speaking about.

"All Might will answer that for you."

All Might sighed and looked at Bakugo.

"We will have to battle a strong enemy in the future. He is as strong as me if not stronger. He also controls a large organisation of villains. He threatens the peace of Japan and even the world. Even I am not certain that I can defeat him."

"What the hell are you talking about All Might! Aren't you supposed to be the number one hero?! How can you not defeat him?!"

Bakugo shouted as he heard All Might.

"Yes, I am the number one hero. I also defeated him in the past but he still survived. Now, he will be stronger than he was in the past."

Bakugo was in disbelief.

'Well, it's understandable. The hero he looked up to, the hero he wanted to surpass, the hero who was synonymous with the word invincible said that he couldn't defeat an enemy that he had defeated in the past. Anyone would be in disbelief.'

Bakugo contemplated in silence for a few minutes.

Neither I nor All might rushed him to speak.

"I understand. I will work hard. I will work myself to the bone and I will surpass you All might. I will surpass everyone and become the number one hero. I will achieve what even you couldn't achieve. I will beat everyone who stands in my way!"

Bakugo finally got his resolve.

All Might smiled as he looked at Bakugo.

"Yes, but don't change this mindset when you get beaten by someone else."

Both Bakugo and All Might froze when they heard my voice.

"Did you really have to ruin the mood, young Izumi?"

"Yes."

I answered as I finished my tea.

"And don't just improve yourself. Help the people around you to become stronger. And stop getting angry at Midoriya. He was quirkless his whole life until a month ago. Someone whose name I can't tell you, transferred his quirk to him because he liked his spirit."

Bakugo looked at me in disbelief.

"What the heck are you talking about, you bastard! How can someone transfer their quirk to another person? Have you gone mad? Did you get hit in the head?"

"All might can confirm that for you."

"Yea, Izumi is speaking the truth. Someone transferred their quirk to Midoriya. That person's quirk had a characteristic that allowed him to transfer his quirk to another person."

After explaining this, All Might asked Bakugo to leave.

Bakugo left while digesting all the information that was given to him.

All Might sighed after Bakugo left. He reverted to his skinny form.

"Everything turned out well. You have a knack for this kind of thing. I am thankful for your help with young Bakugo."

"It's alright, All Might."

"I was amazed when I saw Midoriya's battle. He got quite strong and his control over OFA has also increased tremendously. I am eternally grateful to you."

All Might thanked me and was going to slightly bow which greatly startled me.

I immediately pushed him back not allowing him to lower his head.

"I will not accept that bow. I do not deserve it. I deeply respect and admire you. You nearly dedicated your whole life to other people's peace. Even when you can barely fight, you still push yourself so that the image of the symbol of peace doesn't get destroyed. You are someone whose head should never be lowered. So please, don't belittle yourself."

I got up and walked towards the door.

"I will be leaving, goodbye."

All Might stared at the door through which Izumi left.

After a few seconds, he smiled.

"I guess I don't have to worry about Midoriya or the future heroes."
