Chapter 131:- Aftermath

The villains, getting the signal that their job was done, decided to retreat. The heroes had been left to deal with the consequences of the villains' assault on the students.

Amidst the aftermath, Bakugo lay battered, staring at Izuku in disbelief. The U.S.J. had become a battlefield not just between heroes and villains, but also between former acquaintances turned enemies.

The halls of U.A. High School was now marred by the remnants of chaos. The aftermath of the villain attack left a somber atmosphere lingering throughout the campus. Students were getting their injuries nursed, and the heroes were grappling with the failure to protect the next generation of heroes.

As the news of the attack spread like wildfire, the media descended upon the U.A., hungry for answers. Microphones and cameras thrust towards the pro heroes, demanding explanations for the apparent lapse in security.

The heroes, including All Might, found themselves facing the harsh scrutiny of the public eye.

A press conference was hastily arranged to address the concerns of the media. Reporters bombarded the heroes with questions, probing into the details of the attack. One reporter asked, "How did the villains manage to infiltrate the U.S.J. facility? Was there a breach in security?"

All Might, still recovering from the strain of the battle, stepped forward to answer, "The villains exploited a weakness in our defenses, catching us off guard. We are currently investigating the breach and will take necessary measures to reinforce security."

Another reporter questioned the heroes about the motives behind the attack. "What did the villains want? Why target the students?"

With a stern expression, Vlad King replied, "The villains' motives are unclear at this point. We are working closely with the authorities to gather intel on the assailants and their objectives. Our priority now is ensuring the safety of the students."

Meanwhile, behind the scenes, the police were diligently conducting their investigations. Detective Tsukauchi took charge of questioning the students involved in the incident. Each student's statement was crucial in piecing together the events that transpired.

In a small interview room, Bakugo, hospitalized due to him having the worst injuries among all the students, sat across from Detective Tsukauchi. The detective's voice was calm as he asked, "Can you recall the events leading up to the attack? Any details could be helpful."

Bakugo, his pride wounded and his body aching, grumbled, "I don't know, we were just doing our training, and then those bastards showed up. It was chaos."

Detective Tsukauchi noted the frustration in Bakugo's voice but pressed on, "Did you notice anything specific about the villains? Any distinctive quirks or features?"

Bakugo hesitated, memories of the unexpected punch from Izuku flashing through his mind. "I saw Izuku there."

That's when All Might entered his ward, unable to take it anymore Bakugo's gruff voice resounded, "What the hell just happened, All Might? I saw that nerd. Izuku. He's alive. What's going on?"

All Might, baffled, exchanged a glance with Detective Tsukauchi, who was in the room. Detective Tsukauchi was the first to say, "Kid, you're saying Izuku is alive? How can that be possible, there was no trace of him in Shizuoka and the nearby cities, we searched for him for 1 whole year, yet we couldn't find him anywhere, and most importantly how did he come to USJ all of a sudden?"

Bakugo, despite his battered state, sat up with a determined look. "I don't care what you saw. I saw him there, and he's not dead. Hell, he was fighting with those villains!"

All Might, a shadow of his former self, looked skeptical. "Bakugo Kun, we can't jump to conclusions. Izuku had been missing for a whole year and we used everything in our power to search for him.

How can he be in USJ when he doesn't even have a quirk, most importantly he wishes to be a hero, there's no way he could be involved in this."

Bakugo, frustration evident in his voice, retorted, "I don't know how, but he's alive. And not just that, he's got some kind of quirk. He said he'd kill me. You have to believe me!"

Detective Tsukauchi exchanged a worried glance with All Might. "This is highly irregular. If Izuku is still alive and involved in criminal activities, it changes everything, it also explains the disappearance of his books, and if that's the case, we are in huge trouble All Might."

All Might, struggling to come to terms with the revelation, spoke with a hint of disbelief, "Bakugo, are you sure about what you saw? Maybe the stress of the situation is—"

Bakugo cut him off, his eyes burning with intensity. "I know what I saw, damn it! And it's not just stress. Izuku is out there, and he's dangerous."

Detective Tsukauchi, realizing the gravity of the situation, sighed, "If Izuku is indeed alive, and with villains, we need to act fast. We can't afford to underestimate the situation."

All Might nodded reluctantly. "Bakugo, we'll investigate this matter thoroughly. But until then, focus on your recovery. We'll get to the bottom of this."

In the aftermath of the U.S.J. attack, the heroes gathered in a somber meeting room at U.A. High School. The air was tense, and the gravity of the situation weighed heavily on everyone present. Midnight, Snipe, All Might, Vlad King, and other prominent heroes were seated, exchanging concerned glances.

Midnight, known for her playful demeanor, broke the silence, "The media is buzzing with questions, and the public is demanding answers. We need to address this carefully and provide reassurance."

All Might, still grappling with the shock of Bakugo's revelation, nodded solemnly. "We must consider the implications of Izuku's supposed return. If he is truly alive and involved with villains, it changes the entire dynamic."

Snipe, usually reserved, spoke up, "Bakugo mentioned a quirk. We need to verify this information. If Izuku has developed a quirk or acquired one, it's very troublesome."

Vlad King, with a stern expression, added, "We need to find out if he has gotten a quirk from someone, who's the one who gave him the quirk, and we also need to investigate how he managed to infiltrate the U.S.J.

We can't afford any more security lapses, especially with someone like Izuku involved."

Listening to the term, "Who gave him quirk," All Might flinch as he thought about the only person who is infamous for giving people quirk, 'This can't be, he's dead, I don't think he would have survived it, and I know Izuku, there's no way he would join the villains'

Midnight continued, "The safety of our students is our top priority. If Izuku is a threat, we need to take swift action.

But let's not forget, we are dealing with a former bullied kid, someone we all have searched for a year."

Detective Naomasa, with a heavy heart and a sad look on his face, said, "I couldn't believe it at first, but Bakugo is adamant. We need to verify the truth and, if necessary, find Izuku and confront him."

Snipe stated, "We also need to prepare for the worst. If Izuku is allied with villains, he might come after us or the students. We can't afford to be complacent."

Nezu upon listening to all this said, "Indeed, the situation has become quite troublesome, divide the staff in two groups.

One group searches for the reason for the breach and how our security was compromised.

And the second group, search for Izuku, and where he can be if he has actually joined the villains." Instructed Nezu.

The heroes exchanged determined looks, understanding the challenges ahead. Vlad King added, "Let's coordinate with the police and conduct a thorough investigation. We need all the information we can get."

Heroes discussed everything they needed to before they went their separate ways, while All Might went to someone who could give him some answers.
