Brian stood steadfast, guarding his daughter like a fierce lion protecting its cubs. Meanwhile, Alex, with a curious gleam in his eyes, started delving into the recent changes he had witnessed. He had a hunch that the reason only the names of the corresponding individuals were displayed in the taskbar of the task section was due to one of three possible scenarios:
1. A simple display glitch, as the system was still loading and displaying everything properly.
2. The task was directed toward this person. Still, the details were vague and flexible, with the audit and changes being carried out only at a specific time node or when Alex exerted a certain influence on the individual.
3. The worst-case scenario is that the system was a low-quality pirated version, and the mission board was merely for show, without any actual rewards.
Upon closer inspection, it became clear that scenario 2 was the most likely one. Although the specifics were still unclear, Alex felt relief wash over him.
With a finger stroke, Alex enlarged the taskbar corresponding to Brian. The interface in front of him transformed into an eye-catching reward accounting interface, something he had never seen before. He couldn't help but feel excited as he delved into it.

Alex: "..."
It seems a very playful summary, but Alex is used to it... the thing that confused him the most was the Table Lamp. What does he need a table lamp for, to study for exams? Barely controlling his curiosity, Alex moved his gaze away from the table lamp. He began to analyze the description given by the system sentence by sentence from top to bottom.
"The lack of system AI is a real disadvantage," Alex thought.
"Some things aren't explained at all, so he has to explore and gather information on his own."
He then concluded after going through the system message. "It seems like the system encourages plot twists?"
Alex didn't dwell on it too much. Even without the system, he would still have fun messing with the plot. Not a fan of the canon. And now, with the added rewards the system will give him for that, it got even more fun.
"The system's hitting all the right notes for me," Alex thought with a smile.
His thoughts then shifted to the crystals. "I think with two red crystals. I would be able to make Alexander my loyal subordinate. I wonder what will happen when his tyrant personality finally awakens." he mused.
Alex then opened the warehouse. His crystal reserves have also gotten a significant boost. Now he has :
Green Crystals▪8
Blue Crystals▪5
Purple Crystals▪4
Red Crystals ▪2
Alex was curious about the extent and limitations of modifying someone's attribute, but he knew better than to experiment recklessly. He needed to be careful and choose his subjects wisely. He had made a wrong judgment in Laurent's case, and a red crystal almost got wasted. It was good that he could formulate a suitable plan for Laurent's use later.
His gaze then landed on the Table Lamp, which suddenly lit up and expanded into a detailed description box.

Why does the system always give out this kind of explanation? After much contemplation, Alex gave up on trying to find a reason and instead focused on the unique style of the system.
The description alone was intriguing; he felt that using it was fun, whether facing an enemy or observing their reactions. It can stop most attacks. So he is bulletproof. He can save his life if it is heavy weapons like the bazooka or grenades.
Although Alex was having a blast with his new agent attribute, he couldn't ignore that being an agent still meant that he was a human being and could be fatally wounded or dead if he got shot. This table lamp could block bullets. So it instantly became a life-saving tool for him.
Despite the lack of detailed information about the mission's second phase, Alex was confident that he could change the plot to insane levels and get maximum rewards.
Then he focused on the pile of video files on his computer. Alex's lips curled into a smile as he looked at them. He was preparing his "Armageddon." The fight was near, and now it all came down to how his opponent was preparing their arsenal.
"All this hard work and preparation better not disappoint me," Alex muttered under his breath, excitement and anticipation palpable in his voice.
