"Alright, folks, everyone is familiar with the rules of our auction venue, so let's proceed to the auction of the second item. I'm sure you all know Agnus Klein, the CEO of Angel Investment. He's quite the character, with a reputation for being ruthless in his business dealings. So, without further ado, let's get started!
Angus wasted no time, immediately pressing the button to start the bidding. He had learned from past mistakes and didn't want to face the disappointment of an "unsuccessful auction item" again.
"Fifty thousand dollars! Fifty thousand dollars once!"
The lights in the other boxes remained off as the other bidders watched the situation closely. But Agnus couldn't back down, quickly raising the price himself. He didn't want to sell himself short.
"One hundred thousand dollars! One hundred thousand dollars twice!"
"One hundred and fifty thousand dollars!"
In a flurry of quick bids, Agnus raised the price to three million dollars, the amount he had paid for participating in the auction this time.
"Three million dollars, once. Three million dollars, twice. Three million dollars sold!"
Alex pounded the gavel on the auction platform, signaling the end of the bidding.
"Congratulations to Mr. Agnus Klein, the new owner of this amazing item! Well done!" Alex announced Alex with a sly grin.
In the next second, a gunshot sounded. Agnus fell dead on the floor.
"What a self-centered narcissistic item. We don't sell such things in our auction," Alex said as he blew this imaginary smoke from his pistol.
"Now, folks, let's move on to the next item. As you all know, we have strict rules here at our auction venue. No self-price-raising, no prices that don't match the object's value. We want to ensure our customers never receive unsatisfactory service or defective goods."
The rich attendees finally understood or had to understand one thing - Alex probably didn't intend to let them go from the beginning. But it was too late. They had already sealed their fate.
Jack managed to find flaws with each and every auction item and turned up getting rid of them. The number of people in the auction room started to decrease as the number of bodies increased.
....
"And now, we are at our last item up for auction. Our final item Mr. Jonh is, waiting for the countdown to reach zero," Alex announced with a sinister tone.
In a last-ditch effort, the final item pressed the red button in front of him, spending all the money on his card.
"Five million dollars! Sold!" Alex slammed the gavel on the auction platform.
"Congratulations to this gentleman for successfully winning. But, this time, it doesn't seem to have violated any auction rules? Does that mean that I can only let you go?" Alex said with a raised eyebrow.
The man's desperate eyes glimmered with hope. Perhaps this lunatic had some credibility. As long as he obeys that rule, he can leave alive.
But what he heard next was different from what he expected.
"It looks like this is the only product we have successfully sold today. Congratulations! " Alex said with a sinister grin.
"Really? Are you serious?" The man asked in disbelief.
"Yup!" Alex nodded, "You are free to go!"
"Then I..." The man stood up tremblingly, still expressing unbelievable words in his mind, and was about to get freed when he heard what Alex said again.
"Then this auction will end here, and I will no longer be an auctioneer." The man's heart skipped a beat. He stopped going out, turned around, and looked at Alex with an inexplicable premonition shrouded in his heart.
"Since I'm no longer an auctioneer, as a nice person, of course, I can't let such scums as you live," Alex said righteously, raising the gun in his hand.
"This... No, you can't do this to me..." Before he finished speaking, the man went silent because he also joined the army of the dead along with the others before him.
So far, all the tycoons who participated in this underground auction have died. From the moment Alex stepped into this venue, their fate was already doomed.
"Killing them could have very serious consequences," Brian said, coming over after he had moved his daughter to a safe place.
"This is exactly what I want. There are wealthy and powerful forces behind each of them. Now those forces will also start to stir." Alex said with satisfaction as he put away the camera.
"This is... what you planned to do from the beginning?" Brian was shocked, "Why? Does it do you any good?"
The bigger the incident, the stronger the hostile forces involved. Wasn't this more unfavorable for them?
Alex replied with a sly grin, "I have my reasons, Brian. Trust me."
"Anyway, you'll see it later. Well, since you have taken your daughter to our safe house, I'll call the police to let them handle those unconscious girls."
The most convenient way to do things in this kind of place is that there is no surveillance, but this is normal. They can't install surveillance in such a place where obviously illegal activities occur.
Of course, it doesn't mean that there is no such possibility, but for Brian, who is a top agent, and Alex, who is equipped with a top agent entry, it has become almost automatic to detect and avoid surveillance. What's more, even if the facial features were photographed, it would have no effect as they are in disguise.
...
"Dad?"
"Kim." Brian sat on the edge of the bed and held Kim's hand tightly, "You're awake."
"I... I'm not dreaming, am I?"
Kimberly felt as if she had experienced a nightmare, being caught, injected with drugs, and then exhausted. Only remembering a few fragments in her brain and waking up completely again, the first thing that appeared in her hazy eyes was a stranger who saved her.
"No, you are not dreaming. We rescued you." Brian said.
"Dad..." Jimmy hugged Brian tightly, tears welling up in her eyes instantly. The past. All the accumulated fears and fears burst out at this moment, and it took her a while to finally react, "Dad, Amanda..."
Brian was silent, "We have already avenged her, and we have killed all the traffickers."
Jimmy stared blankly at Brian, not knowing how to react.
"Jimmy, you need to rest." Brian comforted her. "Go to sleep."
"Daddy... where are we now, and who was the guy from earlier?" Jimmy asked.
"Paris, The guy you meet earlier is Alex. He is a good boy," Brian said with a thoughtful expression,
"Dad... I'm sorry." Jimmy shrank, and although she didn't know clearly, she could almost imagine how much Brian had paid, how many things he had done, and what hardships he had gone through to save her.
"Just remember next time, sleep. Alex and I will always be outside the door." Brian kissed her forehead, got up, left, and went to another room.
"I thought you were going to take her away directly, or at least send her away first," Alex said while operating the computer without looking back.
"Official channels cannot be used, and I don't trust private channels now." Brian said, "And I promised you, if you helped me, I would help you too."
As soon as the words fell, Alex paused. Luckily, Alex opened the mission panel and looked at the [Mission: Brian Mills] item. Two lines of text flickered on the right.
