Ch. 75 - The Rebellion

"He doesn't deserve to be the Kingpin! He's done nothing to improve our community!" Inside a meeting room, a circular table, with multiple people surrounding it was sitting on their chairs.

"But his presence alone gave us many opportunities." Another man voiced out.

"Yes, his suggestions also gave us quite a lot of income." The man beside the person who voiced out earlier, chimed in.

"Tsk! But still, we barely even see him try to improve our community. In my eyes, he's probably just lazing around somewhere with beautiful ladies by his side, ignoring the Underworld that he should focus on instead. I think we should call a vote to replace him. In today's society, I'm sure no matter how strong he is, he won't be reckless in making a decision. Besides, I heard the Stark Industries are making brand new weapons more stronger than in the past." An old man spoke out proudly and arrogantly, forgetting the horror that Doflamingo showed them years ago.

"I object. If you all want to stage a coup d'etat, then keep me and my family out of it." Another old man said, this old man is Joseph, the current head of the Gambino family. One of the first families to surrender under Doflamingo's rule.

"Joseph, we expect nothing of you. All these years, you have always been a coward." A younger man mocked him and laughed, followed by the other heads.

Joseph didn't say anything and just quietly stepped outside of the room, followed by 2 other heads who doesn't want to participate in the rebellion.

*Bang!* x2

Suddenly, the two men that followed Joseph outside was shot in the head, as Joseph froze in his place.

"Where you all going? We can't have you leaving this place knowing that we'll stage a rebellion." The man who mocked him earlier, smirked and said while holding a still smoking pistol on his hand.

"Carlo, what are you doing? Do you want to make war with our families!" Joseph angrily glared at the man, who is now known as Carlo.

"You're too old for this shit, old man. How about you let me take over now. I think I'm more than qualified than you." Suddenly, behind Joseph, a man in his forties walked in while pointing a Glock 7 at Joseph's head.

When Joseph turned around, he was shocked to see his own son, looking at him in mocking eyes while pointing the barrel of a gun at him.

"Marko! What is the meaning of this!" Joseph realized that he has been betrayed and by one of his son's at that.

"I won't bother telling you much, old man. Just know that you have been past your age limit, so I think you deserve to get some sleep. Goodbye father." Marko smirked for the last time before pulling the trigger.

"Noo-!" Just when Joseph was about to shout, the gun had already been triggered and a speeding bullet left the barrel and pierced through Joseph's head, effectively killing him on the process.

"From now on, I'll lead our family to glory." Marko coldly said before holstering his gun on his waist.

"How is it? Am I qualified now?" Marko raised his head and turned to look at the other heads of the Mafia gangs, especially towards Carlo, the main instigator of the rebellion.

"You're more than qualified. Welcome to the group. Starting tomorrow, we'll proceed with the plan..." Carlo said with a smirk before continuing.

"We will bring down his empire and build ours. This world should fear us again." Carlo coldly smiled.

Meanwhile, the Kingpin, Doflamingo was now walking back to the Sanctuary, which is his secret base.

[Donquixote Doflamingo Access Granted. Welcome, sir.] Alice's voice can be heard by him as he walked inside the base.

Just when Doflamingo was about to greet her back, he suddenly sensed something fast dashing towards him and almost collided with him, if it wasn't for Doflamingo raising his hand and caught the perpetrator using nothing but his bare hands.

"Looks like you're doing good. How's your training going on?" When Doflamingo saw a silver haired boy, he naturally smiled and said.

"What? How can you catch me? I swear I'm going faster than my limits." Pietro, who was breathing heavily due to exhaustion, said in astonishment.

"You're completely out of my league, so stop dreaming that you'll surpass me because even if you train for thousands of years, you'll just be eating dusts." Doflamingo sneered and arrogantly said, earning a growl from Pietro.

"Just you see! I'll show you my true speed someday! I swear I'll be faster than the speed of light!" Pietro pouted and said to him before leaving in a flash.

"I'll be waiting." Doflamingo muttered with a smile.

Doflamingo then proceeded to look around the outer base, which is a bar. He thought of this because if someday his family gets bigger, he wanted them to get to know each other and what's the best place to get to know someone besides the school? Obviously, a bar.

In fact, Doflamingo was even thinking of making this simlar to an Adventurer's Guild like those in the fantasy novels that he read.

Too bad though, the current members of the family can only be counted in one hand.

"I should definitely get more family members." Doflamingo said before falling into deep thinking, trying to recall on the characters in the Marvel universe.

He also included the other movies not related to Marvel. Because of Matilda, John Wick and other non-marvel character's presence, Doflamingo is now more determined that this world is mixed with other small movies that won't affect the timeline of the marvel.

Meaning, he has so many opportunities to catch them like a pokemon.

"How about animes? Perhaps there are some anime characters that could be found in Japan? Hmm, a food for thought. I should definitely ask Natalya to make me a schedule to visit Japan, and besides, I think those guys are ready to make their Pokemon Franchise overseas." Doflamingo nodded his head to himself before making a call to Natalya and telling her to make a schedule for him to visit Japan.

"You're free on next week's Monday. So, I think that's a good day for you to visit Japan. Any reason to visit? Are you perhaps meeting a Business Tycoon?" Natalya said before asking a question.

"I see remind me if it's Monday and no, I'm just heading there for a vacation. I want to stretch my limbs for a bit." Doflamingo answered her question before saying his goodbyes and hanged up.

As Doflamingo was preparing to go out and drive around to sight see, he suddenly received a call from Alice, the A.I that Matilda created.

[Emergency, sir! There are currently mass shootings detected and reported throughout the entire New York. After researching, I discovered that it was the Mafia Gangs and Families under you, that are causing these shootings.] Alice's voice was heard through the speakers that are inserted inside the bar.

"What? Did Joseph and the others went against my rules?" Doflamingo growled in anger as this mass shooting could cause his reputation to plummet and his hard earned fame as a kind man might be stepped on the ground. Luckily, his Kingpin identity is still unknown in the public but who knows when there will be a chance someday that someone would discover his Kingpin identity and might spread it to the public.

[I went through a lot of cameras and found out that it was Joseph's son, Marko, who was leading his family's mass shootings outside.] Alice answered his question.

"Marko? I thought that guy turned to a new leaf. It turns out I was wrong." Doflamingo groaned in annoyance before sighing and shaking his head in disappointment.

"Send my the location of the shootings and tell Matilda about this, so she could use this chance to promote herself in the public." Doflamingo said before continuing but this time, it was a mutter.

"I think it's also time for this world to see a new hero." As soon as Doflamingo said that, he portaled himself to his bedroom, where a huge bookshelf can be seen.

After pulling a single book right on the top of the corner in the left, the bookshelf suddenly released a white smoke and opens up, showing an underground passage that leads to an unknown location.

What made it different from the other secret passages is that this passage is very clean and the walls are all white and looked very futuristic that could make one wonder if they're in the future.

As Doflamingo walked inside the passage, he finally arrived inside the secret base that only he knows.

Even Matilda doesn't have an idea about this place as he was the one to secretly build this place.

He named this base as the Gambit's Nest.

Why the Gambit?

If you look at the center of the room, you could see a very familiar costume that looked like something that came out of a comic book.

This costume contains a brown trenchcoat with a pink metallic suit inside it also wears a fingerless gloves with a silver wristlets while below his waist is a belt and a silver boots. Beside the mannequin, 5 deck of cards and a silver Bo-staff can be seen, placed neatly on the table.

Doflamingo has been waiting for an opportunity to show this new persona of him but hasn't found the best time yet but this time, this seems to be a good opportunity to introduce a new player in the board.

A persona that would surely play a major role in his plans for the future.

His superhero persona, or also known as The Gambit.
