First Fight

Lex bit the end of the tie pulling it tightly around his hand, he now had some padding so he wasn't punching the bones of a skeleton with just his bare fist.

He peeked around the wall looking at the Skeleton again.

Skeleton Level 1

'I can see their levels now!?' Lex thought to himself as he watched the Skeleton sway as it attempted to stand upright, he knew this was his call to action, he had to fight to get stronger.

Lex b-lined towards the Skeleton as it turned its back towards Lex, upon reaching a close enough distance to the Skeleton he swung a wide right hook that connected with the Skeletons right temple.

The Skeleton's skull slightly cracked from the impact of its head bouncing off the wall, however, Lex didn't stop there he let out a barrage of attacks against the Skeleton's skull and ribcage with each punch damaging its bones.

Stamina: 9/15

Lex's knuckles were starting to feel quite numb and a dull pain from constantly hitting against the Skeleton. Eventually, Lex saw a message pop up in front of him.

Defeated Level 1 Skeleton: EXP 21

'I am usually strong for a human, I was expecting that to go on for a lot longer.' Lex thought to himself as he looked over to the now pile of bones that was laying on the ground.

'I don't think this is an intermediate dungeon but just in case.' Lex thought to himself as he stomped on the Skeletons skull crushing it after a few stomps.

Lex didn't want to take any chances so he decided to crush where the essence of the monster originated from. Usually, this would be the heart of the monster, but, since Skeletons didn't have hearts their essence came from their skulls.

All monsters in this world had essence. The essence they had was what allowed the monsters to become stronger. Each monster was born with a certain amount of essence, the more essence the stronger the monster would get, if a monster wanted to become stronger it would only be able to by killing people or monsters.

Lex quickly checked his level to ensure that he had gotten his experience and also to see if this was really real or if this was just a dream.

Level: 1 (21/100)

'I guess this is my new reality.' Lex thought to himself whilst smiling, he was actually pretty happy about this. 'I can't wait to get stronger!' He thought while looking at the Skeletons bones.

Lex grabbed both the upper leg bones of the Skeleton before smashing them against the mossy brick a couple of times, snapping off the top of the bones.

'It really might be World Of The Chosen!' Lex thought with wide eyes as he looked at his two new weapons.

In the game players could use almost anything as a weapon, in fact, some players would even clear intermediate Dungeons or peak beginner Dungeons with cutlery to show they were the top dog.

The reason this was possible was due to weapon mastery, it was possible for players to level up their weapon or speciality masteries by either being taught mastery, practising with their weapon such as sword swings or killing a certain amount of monsters with their desired weapon.

Being taught mastery was the quickest way to learn it since you were learning from someone who had a higher mastery.

The other two were only gained as quickly as you did them, for example, if you wanted to practice sword mastery you would have to practice the correct amount of swings, if you only swung your sword three times the mastery wouldn't just appear out of nowhere.

The same would apply with killing monsters, the more you killed the quicker your mastery would increase. However, to increase mastery Lex would need to have a weapon crafted by a blacksmith, not two broken bones.

Lex knew it was time to level himself up, he needed to get stronger to beat the Dungeon, although he didn't need to, he wanted to beat the Dungeon to become stronger.

He looked towards a corridor to his right, just as he looked another Skeleton appeared around the corner of the corridor. 'It's time to level up!' Lex thought to himself with a large grin as he started running towards the Skeleton.

I hope you enjoyed the chapter!
