chapter 7- teacher

"fine, since I lost you can come with me" said Ace, he then muttered under his breath "Sabo isn't going to be happy". as Ace guided me to his and Sabo's meeting spot, I thought of ways to test out Sabo's combat ability.

'If he is like Ace, which he should be, I need to test his ability even further then I did with Ace to know what I'm working with. At the same time, though, maybe I can use this opportunity so that Ace won't call me a brat' I thought as I prepared all of the methods that I will use to evaluate sabo.

we arrived at a particularly large tree, where a boy wearing a black shirt with a blue jacket on top plus short jeans, and a black top hat with goggles on top was waiting.

'How the hell did Ace think that he was from the gray terminal? aside from some holes in his handkerchief, his whole outfit is kind of fancy, definitely not something you see some poor kid in'. "Hey Ace, who is the brat?" said the boy, "Sabo, remember the brat I told you about a month ago? it's him". "Okay, but why is he here?" asked the slightly confused Sabo.

"Well... we had a bet and I lost so I brought him here", Ace tried to play with what happened but I wanted a reason to fight Sabo and of course to mess with Ace. "What are you talking about Ace?", I asked using a dumb voice, "you said that if I can win a fight against you will take me with you so I won a fight".

I could see Ace cringing as he heard me, while Sabo tried hard not to laugh. "Sabo don't you dare..." Ace said with a chilling voice seconds before Sabo burst out laughing.

"Hahahaha I can't believe you lost to as small brat", and after hearing that Ace decided to challenge him to fight me. "Why don't you fight him then? if you're laughing you're ass off at least beat him", "oh wow Ace, never took you for that kind, but I suppose I will fight him to avenge you" Sabo teased him a bit.

*one traumatizing victory later*

honestly, Sabo exceeded my expectations. In Ace's case, I went easy on him but with Sabo, although I didn't use my full power, I didn't go easy on him either. I used this opportunity to measure my strength, I even used my devil fruit and a little bit of haki, yet Sabo was able to adapt to these changes mid-battle.

Although looking at the crying, bruised mess that he became at the end, and the horror in Ace's eyes, maybe I went too far. Just a little though. In any case, it's just a waste for them to go steal with this kind of potential.

Especially with Sabo since after thinking a lot about the whole thing, going to the revolutionary army really made him into an amazing man. Although it hearts my heart a little I think it's better for him, but that's all the more reason to train him fast because If I remember correctly I only have about three to three-and-a-half months until Dragon comes here.

With Ace, however, I have about six years so I will make it so that he is on par with a white beard division commander in terms of haki. It all depends on how Sabo's leave will affect his motivation. 'Now I need to think about how to get Sabo to join the revolutionary army. Of course this time Sabo won't "die" and get saved by Dragon so I need to think of a plan. This is so hard god damn it! but this is the best for Sabo and Ace so I guess I don't have a choice' I thought.

"Alright from now on we will spar for two hours each every day!" I announced. Sabo was about to argue but maybe I traumatized him too much since he looked like he expected death and not some spars. Ace, on the other hand, spoke up "and what if I don't want to?".

Smiling I said "then I will find you and beat you a lot worse then I did to Sabo here", After hearing that Ace began to nod as if his life depended on it. "then it's decided, from now on we will meet here exactly at ten in the morning", and so, me and Ace went back home while Sabo went to wherever he lived.

*2 months later*

During these two months me, Ace, and Sabo spared every day as per the plan but it had some unforeseen side effects. In the first half month everything was going as expected, Sabo and Ace still tried to get their hands on some money but they started to train some more so that they wouldn't be annihilated by me every day.

After that, however, they completely stopped trying to get money and asked me to train them full time. from what I understood from them, they became arrogant one some of the training results came through and decided to hit Bluejam for a lot of his money.

This didn't go well and Bluejam sent his stronger underlings after them which resulted in a fight they couldn't win just yet, so they wanted me to train them so that they could rob Blue jam for all of his money. Not the noblest of causes but I've seen worse.

so I dedicated the rest of the month for their bodies but then I decided to start teaching them haki. I waited with awakening Ace's conquerors haki because I didn't want to lower Sabo's motivation. in the middle of the second month, Garp came to check on us, needless to say, Ace and Sabo, since Garp heard Sabo's talk about pirates too, tried to beat him with haki.

Garp was Surprised but honestly, his reaction was a bit underwhelming. Then, of course, he retaliated with his own haki and the boys didn't stand a chance. Since I knew it was going to happen I hid in a tree and hid my presence, since I'm not powerful enough to take him on and I remember the pain his "fist of love" caused me.

But the results were better than expected since they came back from the fight twice as motivated, as a result of the fact that Garp "had to use haki too to defeat them" honestly I wish I had what they where smoking but results are results.

and for the rest of the month, they trained like crazy. of course during this time I came up with a plan on how to make Sabo join the revolutionary army. my plan goes as follows:

step one- slowly make Sabo sneak into the city and get him familiar with it.

Step two- making Sabo sneak into the nobility area of the city and overhear the plan to burn the gray terminal.

Step three, and this is a risky one- go meet with Dragon and ask him to go search for Sabo at a certain time.

Step four- make so that the desperate Sabo "accidentally" bump into Dragon and tell him the story.

Step five- convince Sabo that he needs to go to the revolutionary army, I'm sure Dragon will accept him since his own son asked but I do need to figure out how to make Sabo join.

And that's it. For now, we went up to two, Sabo's outfit doesn't exactly look like it's made for the poor so he could bearly sneak into the nobility area without arousing suspicion since he is a child and all. Now all that's left is to wait until Dragon comes and Sabo hears the news. Well, let the games begin.
