58- Race

After hearing Mr. Aizawa, some had planned to study together after school. Aska wasn't concerned with that. He had aced every test since he came to this school.

"Hey Aska. I will have some of our classmates over for some studying, I know you have great scores and all, but do you want to come anyway?" -Momo

"Sure. When are you holding this study group?" - Aska

"It will be over the weekend" - Momo was happy he said yes

Aska nodded, "I'll be there"

After that All Might walked into class

"WELCOME BACK YOUNG BOYS AND GIRLS. GET YOUR COSTUMES AND HEAD TO GROUND GAMMA" - All Might said with his iconic smile.

The students got their costumes and went straight to training ground gamma.

Once they got there they used the changing rooms and then went to the meeting point.

"You all look more like heroes. But you still have a long way to go. Well then, let's get to today's exercise. It will be a rescue race. I will be stationed at a random place within this city. You're job is to locate and get to me. The first to reach me wins" - All Might explains

After that some names were picked and they lined up at different start points, ready to start the race.

Momo was in the first patch. She made a jet back, and heat vision goggles. She flew high up in the sky and used the heat vision to locate All Might in the center of the city. She was able to fly to him pretty easily.

After Momo won the race, it was time for another patch of students. This time it was Aska's turn.

He covered a huge area of the city with his observation haki before they even began. Aska was able to locate All Might, but the race hasn't started yet so he just waited for the signal.

Once the buzzer sounded, the other students started running around trying to reach the center.

Aska's feet turned into lightning and he flew straight at All Might.

All Might was standing atop a building, he was looking in one direction. He was thinking who would make it here first. When suddenly a hand touched his back.

All might jumped away and raised his hands in a combat ready position.

'How did he get here?' - All Might was startled

"We already fought before All Might. You want to go again?" - Aska said as he laughed a bit

"Young Minamoto, you startled me" - All Might said as he put his guard down.

All Might waited until the other four students made it, before he continued.

"Good work to all of you. And especially you young Minamoto, you won" - All might dismissed them before he brought out the next set of students.

Aska walked back that he viewing area with the rest of the students. He noticed Midoriya has started using full cowling.

After the other groups got to go, they were sent back to their classroom. On his way to his class after changing, he ran into the principal. Nezu seemed to be busy looking at a tablet with some data on it.

"Hello principal Nezu" - Aska greeted as he was walking by.

"Hello Minamoto" - Nezu didn't even look up, he just kept his eyes on the tablet

"Wait Minamoto!" - Nezu called back to Aska, who was a dozen feet away.

"Yes?" - Aska

"What class do you have right now?" - Nezu

"I have math class right now" - Aska

"You have a perfect 100% in that class, no?" - Nezu

"Yes, I do. Why do you ask?" - Aska

"I'll give you permission to skip that class for today. You'll help me with something else" - Nezu

"If it's fun then sure I'll do it" - Aska said as he followed Nezu

"I promise it will be more fun than calculus"

Aska was standing at the foot of the UA mountain. He had his eyes set on the tall blue building at the top.

"You can start now" - The principal's voice sounded from earpiece Aska was wearing

Aska took a deep breath as he put on his lightning cloak. He then dashed at a fast pace towards the top of the mountain.

Aska was able to see small sensor devices with his observation haki. Those devices were located all over the place. Even though Aska knows about them, he ignored them and just ran in a straight line.

"All right, stop" - Nezu's voice sounded again from the earpiece.

Aska came to a stop.

"How was it?" - Aska asked

"The sensors picked up on your presence after about a mile after entering the mountain." - Nezu

"Is that good or bad" - Aska asked

"From the foot of the mountain to the top is ten miles. The first half a mile from the bottom, has no sensors installed. So you were able to infiltrate about half a mile before you were found out" - Nezu explained

"I guess that's not bad, since there is still nine miles left" - Aska

"Go back to the bottom, but this time take your time and try to sneak instead" - Nezu

Aska made his way back down the mountain. Aska then started sneaking around. He can see the devises with his observation haki.

There were some cameras, that monitored the woods. Aska was able to sneak around those as well.

*UA Main Security Control Room*

Nezu was looking at a very massive wall with honey combs patterned on the all. Each one of those honey combs was a screen that showed the view from different cameras. He has been staring at it for the last ten minutes.

"He hasn't been located yet sir" - A man in a security uniform said

"..." Nezu didn't say anything back, he kept his eyes on the wall with all the screens

After observing the screen for ten more minutes Nezu finally spoke, "How about the sonar? Has that picked anything up?"

"Nothing sir. No camera, heat sensor, sound sensor, movement sensor, or the underground sonar has caught a sight of him" - The security guard

Another ten minutes passed, it has been thirty minutes since Aska started.

*PSSSH*

The sound of the mechanical door behind Nezu opens up as a tall dark haired man walked in.

"So Mr. principal, how did your little trial go? What do you think of my sensors? It will make it impossible for anyone to sneak through your forest, even if they dig through the ground" - The dark haired man said with a proud smile on his face as he approached the honeycomb wall.

"That's true. If the person infiltrating was a moron who ran at us in a straight line. Even then it took your sensors a half of a mile to catch on" - Nezu didn't sound happy

The dark haired man walked closer to the screen displaying the different sensors data.

"All of them seem to be functioning just fine. Is there actually someone out there?" - The dark haired man said as he looked over at the camera view screens.

"Yes. Aska Minamoto is out there" - Nezu answered as his eyes were still on the honeycomb wall

"I see. So your first year star this time huh?" - The dark haired man said

"Yes. Our third year first seat Mirio was able to infiltrate cleanly. His quirk lets him faze through everything. Since his body doesn't give off any heat or sound, the heat and sound sensors failed. His movement was undetectable by the movement sensors, and the sonar waves passed right through him, like he wasn't even there. Then our second year first seat used her Solar Plant quirk to control the light coming from the sun, and control the plants around her, to also infiltrate the mountain cleanly without a single sensor catching her. And now the first year first seat is doing the same. If your sensors can't even pick up on students, then how will they find out about villains?" - Nezu for the first time moved his eyes off the honeycomb.

Before the dark haired man can respond,

"Hello? You there principal?" - Aska's voice came through the speakers

"I'm here Aska. How far have you gotten?" - Nezu said

"I just walked through the main entrance" - Aska said

The tall dark haired man looked at one screen with a shocked look on his face.

'Just what the hell are these students?'

Nezu looked at Aska through the screen then he spoke through a microphone, "Thanks for helping Aska. You can go back to your class. You should be able to catch your last class of the day" - Nezu dismissed Aska before he turned to the dark haired man,

"Thank you for your proposal. Maybe your company and my school will find an opportunity to work together in the future, but for now, I'd like to keep the sensory system we have. I'll instruct our maintenance crew to assemble your equipment for you" - Nezu gave a man a hand shake before he left the security room.

Some time later the dark haired man made his way out of the school grounds. He got in his car and drove off the mountain. Some trucks followed behind him, loaded with the equipment.
