Trial of Sense(1)

Days passed as I flew north, towards the Elven Kingdom, yet I didn't feel tired.

'I wonder how far the Elven kingdom is now.'

The turtle said the Elven kingdom is just a few days away by flight, yet I haven't found the Elven kingdom yet.

'Haa, I guess I'll have to land somewhere here to get some food.'

I sighed to myself as I felt my stomach rumble, I haven't eaten any food in days, so I was quite hungry!

Spotting a field of grass with some cattle munching on the grass, I decided to land.

*Whoosh*

The blades of grass fluttered as the wind caused by the fluttering of my wings hit them.

Gracefully landing, I looked around for the nearest cattle to hunt, before spotting a large bull next to some cows.

Quickly walking towards it and lunging on its side, tearing out its Organs, and beginning to eat it.

*Moooh!*

The nearby cow's Moo'ed out of fear, before running away.

As I munched on the meat, I was reminded of the 3 eyed bull I killed just a few days ago.

'I wonder, what was the name of its species?'

A bull that cannot charge at its opponent will be significantly weakened, but it made up for it with some kind of Paralyzing attack that didn't require and physical contact.

'Can I learn such an ability, system?'

I asked out of curiosity, it would be nice to have a Paralyzing attack.

...

'No answer huh? Oh well.'

Seeing as the System didn't answer, I continued munching on the meat.

'I should make a priority list.'

Ever since I was born into this world, every new day was full of unexpected things, and I never thought about the next day.

'It would be very nice to have a goal to work towards.'

I thought to myself while considering the importance of a few minor matters.

'First of all, I need Power.'

It was obvious, back on earth, money meant power. The rich could live a carefree life, and achieve their goals with ease as long as they had the money for it.

As I looked around at the fluttering blades of grass, the tree moving to the strong winds, and the wildlife chirping and making all kinds of noises, I was filled with a sense of peace.

'I just want to live for as long as possible, to explore and appreciate this world.'

I decided- back on earth, I was shackled by society- I had responsibilities, I needed to contribute to society.

'But here? I'm free to do as I want!'

'I just need to be powerful.'

I concluded, I didn't want to br a powerful ruler, leading an army into battle. Or a fearful Beast, that terrorized the world's inhabitants.

I just wanted to live in freedom, with no one chaining me down.

'Though, how do I gain power?'

My mind raced back to my first days in this world, where I found the bloodline crystal of the Demonic Skylord.

'The beasts that fought over it.. they were all significantly stronger than me, yet they were willing to fight to death just to get it.'

I wondered, how much potential did this bloodline truly hold? For powerful beasts who's level surpassed 3 digits to fight over it like beggars over a million dollars.

'It must be powerful.'

By now, I already finished eating the bull, and checked the system messages.

'Nothing short of Normal.'

I concluded, after seeing the system notifications.

'Now...'

There was another matter tha was on my mind, that I wasn't sure how to feel about.

'System, take out the treasure I found.'

I thought before a golden egg appeared on my paw. The light was reflecting off of it powrfully, giving it a slight shine.

'What is that?'

I questioned, yet to my surprise, A system interfaces popped up.

[Treasure: Child of Sense]

[Grade: Grand]

[Description: Has 2 uses, 1: User can swallow the egg and trigger The Trial of sense, which, if passed, will grant the User a significant improvement in his/her senses.

2: Will eventually hatch into a conceptual creature, upon hatching, it will immediately enter the Supreme grade and become an incredibly powerful beast that will steal the senses of all who are foolish enough to stay near it, friend or foe.

Time Remaining until Hatch: 13.5 Tredecillion years.

'Woah! That's quite useful.'

I Exclaimed, not every day do you come across a grand grade Item.

'Though, I'm definitely not gonna wait for it to hatch!'

I joked, in a Tredecillion years, the universe would have probably died already, and you're gonna make me wait 13 of them?

'Hell no.'

'Well, why not? I'm not on a time limit to reach the Elven Kingdom.'

In a far away land, a destroyed city was burning, with corpses littering its previously lively streets. 

A golem was walking on the streets, looking for a victim.

'I only need a few more to level up.'

The golem thought, it couldn't wait to evolve once again! 

It heard sounds coming from this burnt building, dso he rushed inside to find the source of the sounds.

The walls were broken, the furniture was trashed around, and blood coveted the floor with corpses of a couple young adults.

"Where are you.. Stupid Human..."

It burst through different doors, scanning each room slowly.

It scanned a large bedroom with a double bed inside It.

It scanned a children's room, with 2 double beds and paintings of white rabbit's on the walls.

It opened a book that was lying on the floor, looking through it out of curiosity.

The boom contained drawings of multiple characters, such as a small white rabbit, a cute blue bird, and a green lizard.

All the animals conversed with each other in peace, and went through all sorts of cute adventures.

The Golem dropped the book on the floor, it wasn't interesting, and was extremely unrealistic.

Such different creatures would never be at peace together.

*Achuu*

A high-ptiched sneeze came from the room it was about to enter, causing it to put on a wide grin.

It slowly opened the door, revealing its large figure to 2 small children who were hiding in a bathtub.

The Small Boy saw the Large golem and froze, and the small girl, who seemed a bit younger, started crying silently.

The boy, shouting in a language the golem couldn't understand, put himself between the golem.

He wanted to protect his little sister.

Such a rare act of bravery.

Unfortunately, The golem wasn't moved, as it put its hand on the boy's Head and made his head burst with its strength alone, the boy's brain matter scattering all over the floor.

The little girl shrieked in agony and fear, while the golem had a rare moment of satisfaction.

The golem continued walking towards the girl who was crying loudly, and raised its foot.

*BOOM*

The floor shook, and the crying stopped.

"Huh, still not enough EXP."

The golem sighed in disappointment, as it walked out of the room to search for more victims.

It only had 48 hours on the surface, after all!

What the golem failed to notice, however, was that there was another child, a girl, slightly older than the deceased children, hiding under the sink that was next to the door.

The girl, who seemed to be about 11 years old, was shaking silently.

She was the one who sneezed.

The girls face were full of tears and snot, but her mind only had one thing on it.

Revenge.

She would get her revenge on these cruel monsters, even if it was her last act.
