A lot of the artwork they looked at certainly provoked discussion, but usually along the lines of, What do you think this was supposed to be?, and How much do you think someone paid for this? Andrea definitely preferred the more traditional statues, where she could at least judge how realistic the artists had managed to make it look.
Kyle's favorite was an intricately balanced sequence of nested levers, like a set of scales balanced on a set of scales balanced on another even larger set of scales. Each lever was free to pivot, so the entire thing turned and spun in the breeze, always looking as though it were on the verge of toppeling without ever actually falling.
