'Aguamenti'

Water-Making Spell is a charm that conjures a jet of clean, drinkable water from the tip of the caster's wand. This spell, in addition to being a charm, could also be classified as conjuration, an advanced form of Transfiguration.

As the Horntail breathed a stream of fire towards me, I used this advanced form of Transfiguration. The powerful jet of water impacted the powerful fire and caused massive amounts of steam to be generated.

*TTSSSSSSCCCCHHHH*

'Apparate'

I apparate on the Dragon's back without him noticing it. And when he did notice, it was already too late. I pointed my wand into the air and in the next moment, powerful lighting struck down on my position.

*BOOOOM*

"RAAAHHH!"

The lighting struck the Dragon and caused his muscles to spasm. I made sure not to damage her too much as she was still expecting dragon chicks after all.

'Arresto Momentum'

I use the slowing charm but it doesn't work. The powerful resistance is stopping me from helping her. Well, time to get creative. I focus my will on what I want to do and spread my arms. The winds pick up and a powerful stream of air blows against the Dragon, filling its wings and slowing down our descent. After getting slower, we land very gently on the ground.

The mother dragon stands up and looks at me. I can feel her confusion. I had her at the perfect place and could kill her easily. But that wasn't what I wanted. After fighting and 'taming' many dragons already, I knew how to handle a dragon. Different Dragons had different characters, but essentially, they respected the strong. That's how it was in the world of the powerful. Only the strong are respected.

I transmitted to her my feelings and showed her that I didn't mean her harm. And to seal the deal, I took out a thick piece of juicy meat for her to eat. That always works. Love goes through the stomach after all.

.

"Where are we going next?", Nuna asks me as we are enjoying some tea in the afternoon after I bring the Horntail back to my home.

"East, there is another type of dragon that I want to add."

"Another one? How many is that now? How can you not be scared when dealing with those?"

"..."

"Right, but even if you have magic, it should be dangerous. The wizards in my tribe were scared of them and that is why the sacrifices even started."

"I'm just built different."

"Aha. What's the name of this dragon then?"

"I will call him, Ukrainian Ironbelly."

"Is that the name the country will have in the future?", she asks me. Throughout our travels, I have often called the countries we were going to by their modern names, which confused her. So I told her that I could use Divination and knew that the countries would have those names in the future. She accepted that.

"Yes. How are you holding up, Nuna?"

"Very good. Why do you ask?"

"You have a melancholic feeling to you in the last few days."

"..."

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing."

"Very well then. Let's get to it."

.

We travelled to Ukraine where I was looking for a Ukrainian Ironbelly. The Ukranian Ironbelly is to be the largest dragon species in the world ... for now. I had something planned that would change things up quite a bit.

[Picture]

The Ironbelly is a bipedal breed, metallic grey in colour, with an immense wingspan, long talons and rough scales said to be as hard as steel. It is the largest breed of dragon which reaches up to six tonnes, with deep red eyes. More rotund and slower in flight than other dragons, the Ironbelly is nevertheless extremely dangerous, capable of crushing the dwellings on which it lands.

He could produce jets of flame up to 3'560 degrees Fahrenheit, 1'960 degrees Celsius. I created a new spell just for this occasion. There were a few Spells already but against Dragonfire to this degree. The Freezing Spell, 'Glacius' was a charm that froze a target with icy-cold air created from the tip of the wand. This, in turn, could freeze water, extinguish fires, and cool off Fire Dwelling Salamanders.

I tried to change things up for the spell I would create. I focused on stopping the movement of molecules and atoms. By stopping the movement of atoms, their internal energy will decrease and the temperature will drop. So that's what I did and it worked splendidly. My spell-creation talent is impressive, if I say so myself.

'Motus Subsisto'

It was amazing honestly. I could freeze the molecules in front of my wand in a defined area. I was also a rather dangerous spell if I didn't watch out. If there was someone in the range of the spell, he or she would freeze to death, very quickly. After I mastered the spell, approaching the Ironbelly was rather easy.

.

My travels through the world were slowly coming to an end. From Ukraine, we travelled west again and collected various magical creatures and plants along the way. In the mountains, the Graphorn could be found. Large and greyish purple with a humped back, the Graphorn has two very long, sharp horns, walks on large, four-thumbed feet, and has an extremely aggressive nature.

Powdered Graphorn horn is used in many potions, though it is immensely expensive owing to the difficulty in collecting it. Graphorn hide is even tougher than a dragon's and repels most spells. I used Transfiguration to restrict the Graphorn's movement. I thought that the Graphorn were an impressive species and that they would make good magical creatures to guard the area where I would build my magic school in the future.

After leaving Ukraine, we continued to travel all around Europe. There were many different magical creatures and I managed to collect those that interested me. There were three more types of Dragons I encountered. Europe had many different Dragons.

In Norway, I got two Norwegian Ridgebacks. They resembled the Hungarian Horntail, except for the black ridges on their back, and the browner texture in their scales.

In Great Britain, I found a few Common Welsh Greens. They were green in colour and had two spiked horns that resided on top of their heads. The tail was vert stream-line with a single pointed tip at the end. It had a distinctive, melodious roar and shot fire in narrow jets.

[Picture]

And finally, native to the Hebrides islands of Scotland in Great Britain, I found Hebridean Blacks. They had dark rough scales, ridges along their back, and a tail tipped with an arrow-shaped spike. The Hebridean Black had brilliant purple eyes and could grow to be up to thirty feet long.

Those were the last dragons I added to my home dimension. And honestly, I was disappointed with the Dragons in the Wizarding World. I thought they were rather weak if I'm being honest. Which was also why I had a plan to create my own dragon. One that would be stronger than what this world has to offer. I got the idea from Herpo the Foul when I went through his knowledge about the Basilisk.

.

Apart from the Dragons, I also found many other magical creatures. Such as the Augurey, also known as the Irish Phoenix, was a thin and mournful-looking magical bird, somewhat like a small underfed vulture in appearance, with greenish-black feathers and a sharp beak.

[Picture]

The Doxy, sometimes referred to as the Biting Fairy, was a small fairy-like magical beast, sometimes mistaken for a fairy.

[Picture]

The Glumbumble was a magical grey, furry, flying insect, which looked like a grey bee. The Glumbumble produced a treacle that induced melancholy in those who consumed it. They had been known to infest beehives, which had a disastrous effect on the honey produced.

[Picture]

There were many more like the Golden Snidget, a small golden magical bird with fully rotational wings, best known for early use in the wizarding game of Quidditch, eventually being replaced by the Golden Snitch.

The Jobberknoll, a small, magical, blue speckled bird. The Knarl, that greatly resembled a hedgehog. Trolls, which I killed a lot in Europe and the Selma, which were aggressive water snakes. I didn't add anyone of the Selma to my home. I actually killed them when I saw them. They kill a lot of humans.

Nifflers, Jarvey, Murtlap, Aethonan, Moke, Gytrash, Crup, Porlock, Giant Squids and more.

And last but not least, was the Unicorn. These majestic equines possessed potent magical properties, with their tail hairs being used as the core of a wand. Unicorns were considered pure and sacred creatures. Drinking their blood to preserve one's life was considered a heinous and immoral crime.

.

The greatest treasures in Europe were two things though. Over the course of my travels, I have been collecting magical creatures and magical plants. And initially, I did that to gather essentially unlimited supplies for my wand-making. This changed over the years and I started to enjoy myself. I didn't see them only as a source of material anymore, some I still do, but others I don't.

One of the three treasures from Europe was the Thestral. The Thestral was a breed of winged horse with a skeletal body, a face with reptilian features, and wide, leathery wings that resembled a bat's. The Thestrals were visible only to those who had witnessed death at least once.

The Thestral tail hair could be used as a wand core and that is something which I did. I also found the best-suited wand wood for the Thestral tail hair core ... the Elder wood. I found a rather big tree of Elder also known as elderberry in the Alpes. I transferred the tree to my home dimension, but the fact that I had found the tree in the Alpes seemed to be an indication for me.

I was still thinking about where to create both my magic school and the main city for my future Empire. I didn't plan on conquering the world, but I wanted to have control over a country, or in this case countries. But then Empire would be the wrong word ... or would it? The Elder tree was the only one I had seen in the entire world. While it is true that I didn't see the entire world as a whole, I still saw a big part of it.

Elder was the rarest wand wood of all and was reputed to be deeply unlucky. Elder wands were much more difficult to master than any other. They contained powerful magic, but scorned to remain with an owner who was not the superior of their company; it took a remarkable wizard to keep an elder wand for any length of time.

Only a highly unusual person would find their perfect match in the elder, and on the rare occasion when such a pairing occurred, it might be taken as certain that the witch or wizard in question was marked out for a special destiny.

The most famous wand made of this wood, and perhaps the most infamous wand ever created, was the Elder Wand, one of the Deathly Hallows that was reputed to be the most powerful wand ever made. Which I can agree with, since ... well I created it. That's right, I created the Elder Wand.

How did I do that?

It was pretty simple really. The good Herpo the Foul, whom I met in Greece years ago, had already made plans for such a scenario. He had been doing massive amounts of research on how to become immortal and cheat death. As he was doing that, he created the Horcrux. An idea, which requires you to split your soul and attach it to an object.

The second idea, the one that he came up with shortly before I killed him, was to create certain powerful artefacts and then hand them out to different people. He was planning for their greed to win and for them to kill each other and then combine them. Herpo had created a set of rituals and curses which would have allowed his soul, which he wanted to 'store' in a Horcrux, to return and take over the body of that person, who had collected all three objects ... he called them the 'Deathly Hallows'.

.

So not only did I stop him from doing that, but I am the one who created the Elder Wand and I do agree, that it is indeed a powerful wand, but not something that would warrant killing over. The added power came from the rituals, which Herpo had planned to add to the Elder Wand after it had been created.

And for the fun of it, I will also do that. I will change the rituals of course, but still create the three or maybe even more of these 'Deathly Hallows' and then spread them in the world. Because I have finally found the perfect wand wood and the 'special' core for me.

My travels were coming to an end.
