Chapter 17: Navigation in a new world.

Oh, yeah I was supposed to get the navigator skill. System menu, buy me the navigator skill!

Just as I thought it works with all of us. Our minds being linked like this is amazing how my clone's memories can help build this skill.

The system keeps saying stuff, it's all literally popping off every ten seconds to tell me something. What's it say this time… oh I sorta remember the path now back to helmsmouth cave…or maybe I should hell's mouth, haha.

Anyway it seems to me that this little pit monster of mine is going to go on an experiment tonight. How far can my mental connection keep up with.

The other me just caught wind of the idea. He said as long as he can run it back and forward he'll be fine. Looks like everyone is in on the plan, at least I pretended to check.

I sent him outside. Let's see if I can keep up. After a couple minutes of running the connection between me and the third body begins to get hazy. Hey, stop, come back… Why is he running off still? (faint whispers from body two) Midnight exercise huh… if it was me I'd either one just enjoying the fresh air, two having an air of confidence thinking I can take on the world, or three trying to find a weak monster to pray on. If I remember correctly one of us should be counting… okay good. It looks like the second body is hitting the ten minutes mark.

I know I could run for at least 13 when I was still human… 30 if I was still in shape. Ah okay so I am more fit then I was on earth. He is at this point, you know the amount of time it took for me to hit my max and turn around and get back into range of proximity chat erh I mean my mental magic. Uh duh right haha. He must be dead. I'll wait for him to contact me. You wanna keep counting. I know ten mins straight is a long time, try patting it out or something, give yourself a little game to it, make it less boring. oh it's my turn. Okay you are going to wait with the Mental magic then for him. 1, 2, 3, 4… 20min 5 seconds. Your turn second body. 

I'm sorry, I'm not counting anymore. He's dead there is no other reason for him to be taking so long.(Body Two)

Wanna give it five extra minutes… maybe I ran too far. We were supposed to be like holding him right at the line and having him take one step at a time. What's wrong with me…(Main body)

Well it's been at least double the time according to my internal clock. Never lies to me, always ticking 

Oh there he is, no not magic silly, the navigator skill it literally lets us mentally map out his distance according to the trail. We have almost a live action recording of his position minus the obvious parts Haha.

Looks like he isn't 60 mins out anymore or we can't reach that far. hmm At least our map mental pin is running easier. Where did I go? I wonder if I'm practicing my footwork. Ninja! Honestly these steps feel like I'm writing a poem when I fight. Please don't forget about me.(Main body hallucinating third bodies response) I'm sorry I didn't go myself. It feels weird to mourn yourself.

So many internal thoughts I can't wait to get them all filed properly haha. Whatever that means. I can only imagine the amount of faucets I'll have if I don't recombine with my parts. This might hurt our minds when he comes back. I have to learn to be gentle with this power. Too bad I'm all alone in this world. My family is probably sick and worried about me by now. Where'd Gravitas go, where has he been, what is he doing, is he okay???

Looks like he has been out there for two hours now. What am I doing running a marathon or something? I begin to wonder if I should wander myself, outside that is. Maybe just to feel the night breeze.

I take a quick peek outside. The night surrounds me, cloaking the forest in a shroud of shadows broken only by the silvery moonlight that filters through the dense canopy. The moonlight filters through the leaves in silvery beams, casting intricate patterns of light and shadow upon the forest floor. The forest seems alive with hidden creatures, creating a sense of enchantment. The breeze carries with it the earthy scent of the forest, mixing with the subtle fragrance of the dojo's wooden structure. The air is crisp and refreshing, invigorating my senses. I notice above me past the clouds three moons. I definitely know now this isn't earth anywhere close to when I was on it last.

Hold on your telling me I'm dead when did that happen? I only ran for what felt like a good five mins. (Body Three)

THE PIT MONSTER LIVES! As I barely clasp on to him with my magic it turns out he was getting scared and building a Mental tunnel back to me. I guess I wasn't supposed to know his fear, but it reeks all of his mana, which I can somehow smell mana now. Way to go system! you did it weird.(Main Body)

(Body Two) Did you do any fancy footwork out there while you were at it, it looks like he missed the path slightly. What's that all about? Haha I beat you he was being chased. Well at least it isn't the main body… 

(Main Body)Don't you think it is about time to come home now?

(Body Three) NO! shit! sherlock!

These are the facets I'm talking about. What is he even doing? 

(Body Three) I'm trying to get back to you what you expect. I wanted to test how far we could run and… how did you already guess that. Why is it like you guys know more about the Navigator skill than me, i'm the one who did all the running??? Am I missing something? Hello? Are you there? Me, What are you doing? Did the call get dropped again? What's that supposed to mean? You're saying I'm supposed to be doing what out here? Why are you being like that, all quiet? 

(Main Body) I think I'm like clocking my brain at a billion Giga-hertz per hour at this point. I forgot I'm the only one with the navigator skill and I'm literally mapping out everything as he is running. It was all running through my mental magic using their memories. Does this mean If I wanted to I could imprint the skill on these guys from just thinking it into their minds. I try to imagine the formations then a sudden burst of pain shoots through my mind. AH! What's happening? I feel my mind splitting and twisting horrifically into a pattern I've never felt before. I almost feel myself lose consciousness before getting a heavy serenity off it. At a frightening pace I feel an intensity like none before. Then I begin to relax. I feel my brain twisting back into place. It felt like something almost teased a part of my brain out. IT HAPPENED AGAIN!!

I feel myself regress back to a normal way of thinking. I need the clone to get back to me sooner. That's the part that didn't make sense; did he grab a gland on his way out there? Something must have gone wrong. I can't believe it, counting really paid off. It looks like he spent his biomass to have a mental magic gland. 

You're only so far away from the trail. You need to turn right, no your other right. It looks like he was chased through the woods by a monster. I can't believe he made it out alive. He narrowly found a hiding spot and everything. 

(Body Three)Thank God for the Silent Lotus Dance.

(Main Body) No, come back here and thank Master Shikan, he is the one who taught you. Now hurry back here. You have to go left now. Does this area look familiar to you yet or do you need me to guide you back. No, I'm good from here. This is going to take all night, i'm just going to tell you a direction and you're going to run it. Turn just a little more to the left. Run!
