Settlement barrier is destroyed

Everyone one was out in open space, scared and worried about what's going on as everyone was clueless about the situation.

"Is it earthquake?"

"Who knows."

People were asking and talking about it and then they saw elders come out with village chief.

They were wearing their battle armours and magic robes their weapons and magic wand were in their hands.

They all had different kinds of expression on their face same were terrified, some serious, some sad and some angry.

Village chief and elders didn't stand to calm down people instead they run towards northern part of settlement, while screaming as loud as possible so everyone can hear it in settlement.

"We are under attack of powerful monster."

"Follow my daughter rose and run towards where the final protection barrier formation is set up."

"Hurry up, this settlement barrier won't last much longer against the monster constant attack. Its going to torn apart in minute by powerful monster."

People were terrified everyone had ashen face and they all run towards the protection barrier they have set up. People didn't care who is infront of them as they push people infront of them out of their way to reach the last protection barrier was set up.

Claude run towards grandma Mary hut and he couldn't find her in her but he got really worried about her in this settlement she's the only person his truly care about her.

Claude couldn't think straight as he's really scared and horrified about the sudden attack on settlement.

"Maybe she's still working at her workplace."

As Claude was running towards his workplace he saw herbalist running with her family.

"Have you seen grandma Mary."

"Move out of my way claude." Herbalist screamed out as no-one cares about anyone else other than their loved ones when disaster strike.

"Please, I just want to know whether granny Mary is safe or not."

Herbalist run past Claude without bothering to answer his questions as for her, her family life is more important than anyone else.

Claude run to tailor workshop and found door open but inside it was completely empty.

"Thank god, it seems she's safe as she not here."

"I hope she arrived at last barrier."

But then dread reality hit Claude that won't be able to make it to the last barrier as he too far away from it and the settlement barrier has already dimmed down and slowly losing the yellow light.

As quick as possible Claude picked monster hide stored within workshop.

They were supposed to make leather armours from it but now his life is more important than leather armours for everyone.

Claude pull out folded monster hide from drawer. Monster hide is really big and thick even tho it still folded.

Claude run towards the last barrier formation that was set up and around him there were still people running towards the last barrier formation.

Soon Claude spotted Max in crowd carrying Susan in his arms. Claude run towards and without saying anything they both run together.

Suddenly entire settlement become dark barrier lost the yellow light it always provided them all the time.

Whole settlement is shrouded in darkness now. You can't see anything in darknes, it was completely dark.

Only light visible is formation barrier set up in distance as it was glowing in dark with yellow light.

It did help people with directions as they knows which way they have to run now.

Everyone run towards the barrier with their all strength, no-one hold back anything whether they're child, teenager, adults or elderly old people.

Claude couldn't even see Max who is just one or two besides him along with Susan.

"Claude stop there's no use in running anymore barrier going to get destroyed in few seconds." Max said with serious expression on his face and he put Susan on ground but Claude couldn't see Max expression at this time but he can feel his grave tone.

"This barrier going to get destroyed in few seconds everyone gathered around me, I'm going to make ice dome here."

"It won't be strong as protection barrier formation set up by mages but it's more than enough to last for hours and strong enough to withstand the blizzard."

Even though everyone heard Max voice but they didn't get close to him, they still believe they can get to the last barrier of settlement and barrier set-up by one mage even last hours in this condition no way.

Even if it withstand blizzard would they survive monster attack because of that no-one listens to him except for few peoples.

"Those who are behind me please get over here once I made barrier complete you won't be able to enter inside the barrier." Max said with grave tone and concern for everyone.

"Now, I'm setting up the barrier." Max said with sadness in his voice as his knew not many people going to survive today and some of the people behind him might want to enter his ice barrier but its too late now Max can't wait more, there's going to a lot of causality.

"Spirit of cheerful snow,

Protect the one who call upon your name,

Bestow upon thy admirer the protection of ice barrier that withstand this cruel world."

In think completely darkness light blue butterflies appears fluttering their wings and made circle around them Max as centre of this spell.

As butterflies land on snow below one by one they faded and ice wall started to appeared, soon ice barrier come into being barrier had light blue transparent wall with unknown ruins drawn all over it.

Just as ice barrier was made at the same time settlement barrier also got destroyed.

Just as settlement barrier got destroyed chilling sound of blizzard hit everyone eardrum. Shiver run down on everyone spine as just as barrier got destroyed.

People who couldn't make it in time to enter barrier freeze to death instantly they couldn't even scream as they didn't even realised that they just die just as barrier got destroyed.

Everyone one was horrified looking at dead people outside the barrier, everyone knew them they were family, friends or neighbours.

Everyone was crying and terrified by this catastrophic event that befall upon them.

Those who freeze to death had their entire body covered in snow and turning into ice sculpture.

Tears are falling down from Claude eyes as he saw how everyone died in front of his eyes and crying five month baby in front of him.

Just as ice barrier was about to complete one woman come running at barrier and she threw her baby towards the ice barrier with all the strength in her body. She knew that she won't make to the barrier and she won't survive but she couldn't allow her five months old baby girl to die with her in this frozen hell.

So, she threw her baby girl in air towards the ice barrier of Max that was about to complete.

Claude didn't know who throw baby from darkness around them but he knows they did this to save child life.

Susan bent down and pick up baby girl and sit holding her, no-one said anything as they were all sad about what just happened.

Claude unfolded monster hide and cover the childrens with monster hide.

He learn from grandma Mary that even though this monster hide is quite thin but its actually really warm and hard.

Light leather armour made from this doesn't weight much and its sturdy.

Even though ice barrier protected them from blizzard outside but they still feeling chilling cold but adults and old man and woman allowed childrens to be covered in monster hide as it would keep childrens warm.

But they could nothing about silent sobbing and crying sound of childrens as they themselves were crying to for their loss.

Everything happened just in a minute their happy and peaceful like cease to exist.

This is first time Claude saw the true nature of snodedliv weather. When he first transmigrated here m, light snow fall was happening it look beautiful and heart calming but he couldn't say the same thing now.

Just cold wind freeze people to death even before snow touch their body.

This chilling sound of blizzard is something even he didn't saw on earth before.

"How can one can survive weather like this no the world like this?" Cause he knew strong warriors,mages, elders and village chief is outside the barrier ready to fight being that live in this weather comfortably.

Mazlx stood in centre of barrier dome without moving and constantly supplying mana to ice barrier.

"Right now, I have enough mana to last one or two hours after that I will run out of mana."

"If that's happened Claude you are going to supply your mana to magic barrier."

"Remember to stood in centre of this dome where I'm standing right now."

Below Max feet Claude can see pentagram made of ruins and this ruins spread out on ground to the barrier walls.
