Battle

With everyone in position, Present Mic began his enthusiastic countdown.

"Now, let's go! Counting down to the brutal battle royal! 3! 2! 1!"

As soon as Midnight gave the starting single everyone leaped into action. They all pretty much immediately began to run toward Midoriya's team.

Our team however chose to stay vigilant and watch for any openings. avoiding some stray attempts at stealing our headbands from class B by Force jumping into the air while Airi made Toru and Jiro levitate.

We also grabbed ourselves a couple of headbands by using Jiro's earphone jacks to attack from the front and while they were distracted Airi used her telekinesis to grab the headband from their head. Additionally, we got lucky and picked up another headband from Monoma while he was distracted with taunting Bakugo.

Over halfway through the second round, I found myself watching Team Todoroki and Team Midoriya fight each other through the wall of ice using Force sight. Finally, our opportunity came when I saw Iida use reciproburst to take Izuku's 10-million-point headband.

"You guys ready?" I questioned.

"Ready!"

"Let's do this!"

"I'm good to go"

When I heard Toru, Airi, and Jiro answer respectively I knew it was time to make our move. Using the moment When Izuku used all for one to catch Todoroki off guard to snatch the headband he thought was the 10-million-point headband. I Force jumped over the wall of ice simultaneously levitating Jiro and Toru allowing Airi to focus on using her telekinesis to grab the real headband.

Both Midoriya and Todoroki immediately noticed what was going on and began their pursuit quickly followed by Bakugo who came out of nowhere but they were too late to chase us as the timer went off shortly after.

"Times up! That's the end of the second round, the cavalry battle!"

"In the first place, Team Asahi!"

"Yeah, we did it!" Toru exclaimed jumping around.

"I can't believe we actually came in first," Jiro said in disbelief.

"Of course, what did you expect when you teamed up with UA's very own dynamic duo!" Airi said as she puffed out her chest.

"Anyway, good work guys we make a good team," I said

"Yeah, though I didn't get to do much" Toru spoke somewhat regretfully.

"Just look at it this way now you have a chance to stand out in the next event"

"In the second place, Team Bakugo!"

"In third place, Team Todoroki!"

"In fourth place, Tetsute- Huh? It's Team Shinso?!"

"And the final team to make it to the final round, in fifth place, Team Midoriya!"

Watching as Izuku spouted a fountain from his tear ducts I heard Airi comment in my head,

'If I didn't know he was quirkless I would've assumed that he had a quirk that had something to do with crying'

'Yeah, I know it happened in the anime but I thought it was an exaggeration or something

"These five teams will advance to the final round! Now we'll take an hour's break for lunch before we start the afternoon festivities! See ya!"

After our lunch break, we spent visiting the various food stalls with Jiro and Toru we reentered the stadium. Since wasn't enrolled in Class A there was no one to help him convince the girls to dress up as cheerleaders.

Once we had all gathered Midnight revealed that the final event would be a 1v1 tournament.

"I'm gonna stand on the stage that I watch every year on TV!" Kirishima said excitement evident in his voice.

"Was it a tournament last year?" Mina wondered.

"It's different every year, but there's a one-on-one competition every year. Last year it was a sports chanbara match" answered Sero.

Overhearing what Sero said I couldn't help myself imagining how that would work a 1v1 sword fighting competition would definitely be interesting to participate in.

"Now let's draw lots to determine the bracket. Once the bracket is determined we'll have the recreational games and then start!" Midnight announced holding up a box with the word 'lots' written on it in English.

But just before she was about to start Ojiro raised his hand wanting to withdraw because he couldn't remember anything from the cavalry battle. Another person from class B followed his example citing the same reason. In the end Midnight Decided to accept their withdrawal with two memberships of Team Tetsutetsu replacing them.

For the tournament, the bottom two teams had to participate in an extra elimination round before they could move up.

"This is the bracket based on the results of the drawing!" Midnight said as the screen brought up a looking a bit different than the original.

The first four matchups consisted of:

Aoyama vs Mei

Izuku vs Shinso

Uraraka vs Tetsutetsu

Tokoyami vs Ibara

After some recreational games including a scavenger hunt and

Some other games including giant balls the time for the final event had come. Taking

our seats we overheard Present Mic hyping up the audience.

"Hey, are you guys ready!? A lot's happened, but it's now

come to this! A serious battle! You can only depend on yourself! Even if you're

not a hero you'll face lots of situations like that! You get it right? Heart,

skill, body, wisdom, and knowledge! Use all of that to rush up!" When Aoyama

and Mei walked onto the raised platform he began to introduce them.

"The first match of the first round of the final tournament. From the hero course, it's Aoyama Yuga! Versus from the support course, it's Hatsume Mei!"

After Present Mic finished explaining the rules the first round began.

Standing on the platform Aoyama was equipped with a couple of more items than he usually wore.

"Looks like Aoyama fell for her scheme" I commented.

"Yep, this match is gonna take a while" Airi replied.

"What are you two talking about?" Jiro asked us.

"Just watch," I told her motioning towards the stage. Once the start was announced Aoyama began the match by launching an attack with his belly button laser. But Mei dodged it with her hydraulic attachments while announcing its selling points.

What took place was basically the same thing that happened in the anime with Mei selling her items while avoiding Aoyama's attacks. Finally, when her sales pitch was over, she stepped out of bounds giving Aoyama the win.
