Vanita woke up hungry having skipped both lunch and dinner. She moved lazily down the stairs into the kitchen, not noticing the two men cooking.
She moved to the fridge and grabbed some juice turning around to grab a glass but someone passed it to her.
"Thank you," she said pouring herself a glass of juice.
But she stopped after noticing she wasn't alone in the kitchen.
"Hello, angel " Cass smiled.
Ricky moved next to Vanita hugging her, "I missed you" he said.
"What are you guys doing here?" she asked.
Before she could answer Rimuel and his father came in.
"Daughter are you hungry, I hope you both have cooked something for her," he said.
She was surprised to see them all there that she didn't say a word as Rimuel brought her to the table. Cass and Ricky placed the food on the table each holding a smile on his face.
Rimuel had disappeared but returned with her grandparents. They joined them at the table and had breakfast. They talked and laughed and slowly Vanita engaged in their chat.
They could see her smile little by little.
Cass and Ricky washed the dishes and cleaned the kitchen, while the rest sat in the living room.
"So dear I know you're still going through a tough time but we should now think about your future, " her grandfather said.
Nodding her grandmother said, " I know your parents would want the same and if you want our place is ready to welcome you "
She sighed not answering. Rimuel was next to her, he gently moved his hand into hers.
She turned smiling at him, " I don't know what I want anymore but I feel like staying here even though it will still bring back all their memories.
"If you don't mind you can come and stay with us, "said Rimuel's father.
Her grandfather asked, " Won't it bother your family?"
"Since the day we met, we have always considered her family. So her staying with us is not a bother " he answered.
Vanita said goodbye to her grandparents the next day while they left then started parking.
Essie didn't leave her side, helping her pack all her stuff. Her grandparents had left with most of her late parents' stuff so most of hers had remained.
"It's time," Rimuel said knocking on her door.
Looking up his eyes seemed to whisper to her something she couldn't get.
She sighed, " Its time to leave all this behind "
