First cut is the deepest

It had been a week since she had suffered from that embarrassment. she vowed never to look behind again.

But time after time she felt like he was looking at her which she knew was her mind playing tricks.

During lunch, she accidentally knocked "da guy" she vowed never to look at again. "oh...sorry "she said but when she looked up her smile faded.

"It's okay," he said " OMG he has the most beautiful voice," she thought

Feeling awkward she rushed away from him, he watched her run away & he smiled.

"He just smiled at you," her best friend told her making Vanita's eyes bulge out.

Classes resumed after lunch which mostly didn't attend since they were dozing off.

"What's wrong with me, why am I always stupidly thinking about him ?"

"Ahh, it's another stupid puppy love," she thought... "I wonder what's he thinking "

Later she had to handle something in the library that she missed her bus back home. As she was sulking waiting for the next bus a luxurious car parked in front of her.

"I could offer you a ride? " he said she looked up & saw his face.

"It's him ! her eyes shined like the prettiest gems.

"Me ?" she asked

"Yeah," he said

"If I let go of this chance, I would be crazy " she happily jumped into his car & told him her address.

The trip was a silent one & when they arrived she thanked him while leaving his car.

"Thanks so much, I hope I wasn't a bother "

"Nope " is all he said then he sped off

"Well let's add that to the books ....his handsome, sexy lips, wonderful voice & also rich " Vanita smiled as she rushed into her home.

"Mom, am home "

"You look happy something good happened ?" her mom asked

"Yah the love of my life just dropped me home "

"Hmmm looks like u have another crush "her mom commented

"mom I think this time it's for real, I feel attracted to him "

"Huh ....that what you said the last time "

Vanita rolled her eyes & ran to her room.

Her perfume still lingered in his car seat, he had been secretly looking &following since the first day. At first, he thought it was just because she was cute but as time moved on he realized it wasn't just that. Her every movement made him smile.

Boys had secretly wanted to court her but he had threatened each of them to stay away from her.

"I said stay away from her " he barked "

"Why should we do that ? " the leader of her admirers shouted

"Because I said so "

"Huh so you expect us to obey "one retorted back

"I had his family is one you shouldn't mess with " the other whispered

"Find another one, she belongs to me," he said as he walked away.

Since that day they never approached her expect her so-called close friends.

He had wondered why he was acting that way to a stranger he hadn't even talked to. So when the chance presented itself to him when she was left behind by her bus.

He had rushed to his car so that he could use it as an excuse to talk to her. When she said yes & got in, his mind shut down that he failed to say anything all way to her house.

"At least now I know her address " he consoled himself as he drove home.
